Abstract

Human resource (HR) management plays a crucial role in the effectiveness of election supervisory bodies, particularly in resource-constrained settings. This study explores the challenges faced by the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) in Boalemo Regency during the 2024 elections. Using a qualitative approach, the research examines the impact of staffing shortages, inadequate training, facility constraints, and ineffective management practices on operational performance. The findings highlight that overlapping responsibilities, outdated infrastructure, and a lack of structured management frameworks significantly hinder the organization's ability to execute its mandate. Targeted interventions, including capacity building, technology adoption, and leadership development, are identified as critical solutions. The study concludes that addressing these issues through strategic HR practices and infrastructure enhancements can improve operational efficiency and ensure electoral integrity. These insights offer valuable guidance for policymakers and practitioners aiming to strengthen public sector performance in similar contexts.

Abstract

The Dela Costa Homes V subdivision consists of 2,400 housing units. The housing units are built as row houses, each with a minimum lot size of 50 sq. m. The subdivision's Home Owners Association (HOA) coordinates with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Barangay Burgos. The study is descriptive quantitative research that assessed the efficiency of implementing pollution control measures on littering in the research locale. The data was gathered through a Resident Assessment Survey (RAS) incorporating Waste Management Theory and Environmental Scanning through PESTEL Analysis. Random sampling was used to collect data from one hundred residents (one respondent per household). The residents commented about their experiences and wrote suggestions relative to the control measures on littering. Using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Independent t-test, it is found that there is no significant difference in the efficiency of Pollution Control Measures on Littering in terms of Political, Economic, Technological, Environmental, and Legal Aspects. On the other hand, there is a significant difference in the responses of unit owners and renting occupants concerning Socio-Cultural Aspect. Respondents gave a 'Slightly Efficient' rating to the Political, Economic, Socio-Cultural, Technological and Environmental control measures. Furthermore, results show that Pollution Control Measures on Littering are not that evident for most of the residents of DLCHV either because of unawareness or lack of implementation. As for the Legal aspect, this needs the most improvement due to its 'Not Efficient at All' rating.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of The FED interest rate on ISSI, analyze the effect of the inflation rate on ISSI, and test the role of BI Rate moderation in the relationship. The approach applied in this study is quantitative, with descriptive analysis to describe data characteristics and model testing using the Smart PLS application to answer the hypothesis. This study uses secondary data in the form of monthly data covering the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id), The FED interest rate accessed via www.investing.com, and Inflation and BI Rate data taken from the Bank Indonesia website (www.bi.go.id), with a time span from 2014 to 2023. The results of the study indicate that The FED interest rate has a significant positive effect on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI). However, the BI Rate failed to moderate this effect. Inflation also showed a significant positive effect on ISSI, but the BI Rate was unable to moderate the effect of Inflation on ISSI. In addition, the BI Rate has been shown to have a significant negative impact on ISSI, where an increase in the BI Rate tends to reduce the attractiveness of sharia stocks.

Abstract

City parks provide recreational space and social interaction in urban areas. One park that has great potential is Bulak Teko Indah Park in West Jakarta, which offers various facilities for visitors, especially families with children. This study aims to explore how improving facilities in this park can affect visitor visits. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Data were collected from 15 visitors and three park managers. The results showed that better facilities, such as safe play equipment, sports space, and comfortable seating, played a significant role in increasing comfort and extending the duration of visits. Safety was the main factor for families with children, while the diversity of facilities met the needs of various groups. However, there was input to increase the number of seats and improve the cleanliness of the park. Based on these findings, park managers are advised to add educational facilities, improve cleanliness, and improve accessibility for visitors with special needs. Thus, Bulak Teko Indah Park can become a more attractive and beneficial recreational destination for the community and support the development of a more inclusive and sustainable city park.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a strategic role in the Indonesian economy, contributing to GDP, creating jobs and reducing poverty. However, MSMEs in Indonesia face various challenges that hinder their development, such as limited managerial skills, lack of product innovation, and limited access to financing. This research aims to identify internal and external factors that influence the development of MSMEs in Indonesia and provide recommendations to support their growth. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with data collection methods through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and document studies in several large cities such as Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya. The research results show that the main internal factors hindering the development of MSMEs are a lack of managerial skills and product innovation. Meanwhile, external factors include limited access to financing and uneven government policies. Technology and digitalization provide excellent opportunities for MSMEs to increase their competitiveness, but limited digital skills remain an obstacle. In conclusion, managerial training, product innovation, and simplifying access to financing are necessary to encourage the growth of MSMEs. The government must also improve its socialization policy and ensure its implementation is evenly distributed throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate environmental management at Pulang Pisau Regional General Hospital (RSUD) within the framework of participatory development planning. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, with validation through methodological and source triangulation. The findings indicate that environmental planning and management at RSUD Pulang Pisau remain technocratic, with limited public involvement. The lack of public dialogue spaces and multi-stakeholder consultations results in low community participation in sustainable development. Implementing medical and liquid waste management policies follows national regulations but still faces challenges in resource efficiency and environmental impact monitoring. This study recommends strengthening inclusive environmental governance by establishing multi-stakeholder forums and public consultation mechanisms and enhancing community education and empowerment in environmental monitoring. Policy evaluation based on George C. Edward III's implementation theory highlights the importance of clear communication, resource availability, stakeholder commitment, and an effective bureaucratic structure in successfully implementing environmental policies. This research emphasizes that active public participation in hospital environmental management is not merely a technical aspect but also an integral part of an inclusive and sustainable development process.

Abstract

Back pain in pregnancy is common, especially in the third trimester of pregnancy. In the world of health, alternative methods are being created to reduce pain in mothers during pregnancy and childbirth. Endorphin massage is the best nonpharmacological therapy to deal with these problems. This study aimed to determine the effect of acupressure and endorphin massage techniques on the intensity of back pain in third-trimester pregnant women. This type of research is a pre-experiment with one group pre-test post-test design. Samples were taken from a population that met the inclusion criteria of 20 pregnant women. The sampling technique used an accidental sampling technique. The research instrument used the SOP of acupressure and endorphin massage techniques and the Numeric Rating Scale pain observation sheet. The results showed that before acupressure and endorphin massage, almost half (45%) of all pregnant women experienced severe pain. After acupressure and endorphine massage, none of the respondents (0%) experienced severe pain. The results of the Dependent T-test with α = 0.05 obtained Asymp.Sig.=0.001, so the p-value <0.05 indicates the effect of acupressure and endorphin massage techniques on the intensity of back pain in pregnant women. The conclusion is that there is an effect of acupressure techniques and endorphin massage on the intensity of back pain in third-trimester pregnant women. It is recommended that health workers improve their competence in the service of acupressure techniques and endorphine massage.
