Abstract

This study explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technologies to enhance cybersecurity. AI, with its advanced machine learning and deep learning models, significantly improves threat detection and response times. By learning from data and adapting to new threats, AI offers faster and more accurate detection of malware and zero-day attacks. Blockchain, on the other hand, ensures data integrity through its decentralized and tamper-proof architecture, making it highly effective in safeguarding sensitive information, particularly in sectors such as healthcare and finance. The study examines the combined benefits of AI and Blockchain, focusing on real-world applications like the UK's National Health Service and Google DeepMind collaboration. Despite the promising potential, the implementation of these technologies faces challenges including data privacy concerns, a lack of technical expertise, infrastructure limitations, and regulatory uncertainties. The study emphasizes the need for further research, stronger regulatory frameworks, and enhanced digital literacy to fully realize the potential of AI and Blockchain in creating a secure and resilient digital infrastructure. Recommendations include the development of hybrid models combining AI and Blockchain, the adoption of Blockchain in critical sectors, and fostering public-private partnerships to accelerate technological integration. Ultimately, AI and Blockchain together present a sustainable solution for combating cyber threats and securing digital ecosystems.

Abstract

The livestock grant program initiated by the Kediri Regency Government aimed to improve livestock numbers and productivity. However, since the funds were first distributed in 2022, the goat population in Puncu Sub-district has shown fluctuating trends, while Kepung Sub- district has experienced a consistent increase. This study seeks to investigate the utilization of grant funds by the farmer groups using case study with explorative approach. Most groups utilized the funds primarily for goat procurement, with a focus on breeding activities, employing farming practices that ranged from traditional to semi-intensive systems. Jawarandu and Peranakan Etawa (PE) were the most preferred goat breeds among the farmer groups. The farming approaches varied across groups, including collective, semi-collective, and individual management, reflecting differences in available resources, organizational maturity, and group objectives. Despite these variations, the majority of groups followed technical guidelines and used the grant funds as initial capital to start or improve their goat farming activities. Key factors supporting effective fund utilization included access to local feed resources, flexible fund usage guidelines, veterinary support, strong member solidarity, and accessible goat marketing channels. On the other hand, challenges included seasonal feed shortages, limited health and reproductive management practices, and difficulties in monitoring goats when housed individually. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers in designing more responsive and sustainable livestock grant programs and may serve as a basis for future research on the programs impacts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of financial literacy and interest in saving on the consumer behavior of students at SMKN Kotamobagu. Consumer behavior among adolescents is increasing with easy access to technology and information, so adequate financial understanding and motivation to save from an early age are needed. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to 63 students selected as samples using purposive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the effect of financial literacy variables and interest in saving on consumer behavior. The results of the analysis show that both financial literacy and interest in saving simultaneously have a significant effect on student consumer behavior. Partially, financial literacy has a significant negative effect on consumer behavior, which means that the higher the level of financial literacy, the lower the level of student consumption. Interest in saving also has a significant negative effect, indicating that students with high interest in saving tend to control consumer urges better. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening financial literacy education and habituation of saving among students as a preventive measure against unhealthy consumption patterns.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several external factors affecting the palm oil industry, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the decline in Crude Palm Oil (CPO) prices, cooking oil scarcity, and the government's CPO export ban policy, all of which have impacted the economic and operational performance of palm oil companies. This study focuses on analyzing the influence of Inventory Turnover (ITO) and Sales Growth (SG) on profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA), in palm oil companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019-2023 period. Furthermore, this study explores the moderating role of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), measured through the board of directors and the board of commissioners, in the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The research employs a quantitative method with panel data regression analysis. A sample of 16 companies was selected using purposive sampling, with data sourced from financial statements and other secondary sources. Data processing was conducted using EViews 13 software. The results indicate that ITO negatively and significantly affects ROA, likely due to price volatility and market conditions. Conversely, SG demonstrates a positive and significant influence on ROA, suggesting that increased sales positively impact company profits. GCG significantly moderates the relationship between ITO and ROA, but does not significantly moderate the relationship between SG and ROA. These findings highlight the importance of applying good corporate governance principles, especially when facing uncertain economic conditions.

Abstract

This study explored the complex dynamics within multidisciplinary organizations involved in addiction treatment services by investigating how professional roles, operational tasks, and systemic challenges interact and affect overall performance and service outcomes. The research was conducted within public services for addictions in Northern Italy, utilizing an ethnographic approach that included participant observation and semi-structured interviews with professionals from various disciplines. An analysis of the organizational system revealed inconsistencies between the intended goals and actual strategies, with a homogeneous approach aimed at increasing the similarities among professional categories. Upon closer examination, this homogeneous approach revealed several challenges including an unclear delineation of professional groups and overlapping responsibilities. Consequently, an excess of integrative work was observed, potentially compromising the system functionality and efficiency. While integration is important, our findings suggest the need to balance integration with other systemic functions and clearly define roles in multidisciplinary settings. By employing an ethnographic approach to public services for addictions, this study provides a novel perspective on organizational structure and its impact on service delivery. The application of Parson’s four-function paradigm to understanding system functionality also offers fresh insights into the complexities of these organizations.

Abstract

The relationship between fiqh and tasawuf is a problem that often arises, especially in the practice of prayer. Tuan Guru Abdurrahman Shiddiq Al-Banjari has formulated an analysis of the correlation between fiqh and tasawuf, or in other words, sharia and essence in the practice of prayer, as stated in his book Asrarus Shalat Min 'Iddati Kutubil Mu'tamadat (often referred to as Asrarus Shalat), a book that contains the secrets of prayer. This study aims to determine and analyze the problem of the correlation between fiqh/sharia and tasawuf/essence in prayer, especially in the discussion in the book Asrarus Shalat Min 'Iddati Kutubil Mu'tamadat by Tuan Guru Abdurrahman Shiddiq Al-Banjari. Methodologically, the study uses a qualitative method, by applying a library research approach, namely conducting a study of a problem and orienting it towards library data sources or related literature. The results or findings of this study are the relevance between fiqh/sharia and tasawuf/essence in prayer. The connection between fiqh and tasawuf is a requirement for achieving the perfection of prayer, both outwardly and inwardly. In addition, the book Asrarus Shalat contains three discussions, namely the principles of prayer, the virtues of prayer, and the meaning of prayer readings. Analysis of the relevance between sharia and essence can be seen in the principles of prayer, by dividing it into two parts, namely the principles of the outer world oriented towards fiqh/sharia, such as, conditions, pillars, cancellations, and sunnah of prayer; and the inner world oriented towards tasawuf/essence, such as knowing the secrets of the conditions and pillars of prayer, and believing the essence of the secrets of prayer with all one's heart. The research serves as a recommendation and reference for teachers, students, and the Indragiri Hilir community, in recognizing, preserving, understanding, and applying all the teachings of Tuan Guru Abdurrahman Shiddiq Al-Banjari, especially those contained in his works, such as the book Asrarus Shalat Min 'Iddati Kutubil Mu'tamadat.

Abstract

Globally, HIV/AIDS remains a significant health concern, with profound impacts in developing nations, including Nigeria. This study aims to project mortality among HIV patients in Adamawa State using the Lee-Carter model to assess progress towards the third Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-3) - terminating AIDS by 2030. Mortality data for 2011-2020 on HIV patients aged 15-59 years receiving antiretroviral therapy (ART) was obtained from Adamawa State AIDS control database. The Lee-Carter model, using the Singular Value decomposition (SVD) for parameter estimation was fitted to estimate age-specific parameters. The time series component was forecast using ARIMA(0,1,0). Mortality data from 2011 to 2020 revealed a substantial 296% reduction in mortality, a testament to government and NGO interventions. The study delineates varied age group responses to improvements in mortality rates, pinpointing ages 55-59 as the most affected, while ages 15-19 exhibit the lowest mortality rates. Furthermore, individuals aged 20-24 show heightened responsiveness to general mortality improvements compared to other age cohorts. This work substantiates that Adamawa State has achieved substantial progress, exceeding the SDG-3 target of a 90% decline in HIV/AIDS patient mortality rate, setting a promising trajectory towards an AIDS-free society by 2030. However targeted strategies are still needed for older patients.
