Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari implementasi kurikulum Program Studi D4 Teknologi Rekayasa Manufaktur di Universitas Negeri Malang, yang bertujuan untuk menerapkan kompetensi teoritis dalam konteks industri nyata. Penelitian dilaksanakan di PT. X, khususnya pada sub-unit PAD Stationery yang menangani proses produksi plano MC-03. Dalam proses produksi tersebut ditemukan permasalahan berupa keterlambatan produksi akibat belum tersedianya alat bantu yang memadai, khususnya dalam penimbangan innersheet. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan perancangan desain kerangka timbangan innersheet guna menunjang efisiensi dan efektivitas produksi plano MC-03. Proses perancangan dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak Autodesk Inventor dengan pendekatan sistematis. Desain yang dikembangkan terdiri atas beberapa bagian utama, yaitu penutup area samping, panel depan, serta tatakan penempatan innersheet pada bagian atas kerangka. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap kelancaran proses produksi serta menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan alat bantu produksi di sektor manufaktur kertas.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri makanan dan minuman mendorong inovasi dalam teknologi pengemasan, salah satunya melalui penggunaan mesin sealer cup berbasis sistem pneumatik dan elektrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaplikasian rangkaian sistem otomatisasi pada mesin sealer di gerai Teh Poci, serta mengidentifikasi permasalahan operasional dan solusi teknis yang dapat diterapkan. Observasi dilakukan langsung di lokasi dan dilengkapi dengan studi pemodelan sistem menggunakan perangkat lunak FluidSIM. Hasil observasi menunjukkan adanya dua masalah utama, yaitu hasil penyegelan yang tidak rapat serta deformasi plastik akibat suhu yang berlebih. Analisis sistem mengindikasikan bahwa ketidakstabilan tekanan udara dan kerusakan pada sensor suhu merupakan faktor utama. Rekomendasi solusi meliputi kalibrasi sensor, penggantian elemen pemanas, dan perawatan berkala. Studi ini menunjukkan pentingnya pemahaman sistem pneumatik-elektrik untuk optimalisasi mesin pengemasan.

Abstract

Permintaan tomat (Solanum lycopersicum L.) yang terus meningkat di pasar domestik maupun ekspor menuntut adanya sistem penyortiran hasil panen yang lebih efisien, cepat, dan konsisten dalam menjaga kualitas produk. Metode penyortiran manual yang masih banyak digunakan oleh petani dan pelaku agribisnis, terutama di wilayah pedesaan, memiliki berbagai keterbatasan, seperti ketidakkonsistenan hasil, tingginya waktu proses, dan potensi kerusakan produk akibat kesalahan manusia. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan inovasi berbasis teknologi untuk mengoptimalkan proses penyortiran tomat secara terstandarisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan proses produksi pascapanen melalui penerapan sistem otomasi yang tepat guna. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei kebutuhan mitra petani tomat untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan spesifikasi teknis yang dibutuhkan dalam proses penyortiran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan tersebut, dikembangkan desain sistem penyortiran otomatis berbasis elektropneumatik yang terdiri dari aktuator pneumatik, sensor warna RGB untuk klasifikasi tingkat kematangan. Hasil pengujian awal menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang diusulkan mampu mengklasifikasikan tomat berdasarkan tingkat kematangan secara lebih cepat dan akurat dibandingkan metode manual. Selain itu, sistem ini mampu mengurangi potensi kerusakan fisik pada produk, serta meningkatkan efisiensi kerja dan output penyortiran. Implementasi sistem otomasi ini berpotensi meningkatkan daya saing produk hortikultura dan memberikan nilai tambah bagi petani di daerah pedesaan melalui proses penyortiran yang lebih modern, efisien, dan terstandar.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memegang peranan penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, tidak hanya sebagai penggerak pertumbuhan ekonomi, tetapi juga dalam menyerap tenaga kerja dan pemerataan pendapatan masyarakat, khususnya di daerah. UMKM umumnya bersifat informal, berbasis keluarga, dan menggunakan teknologi sederhana serta sumber daya lokal. Salah satu bentuk UMKM yang populer adalah usaha bakso, khususnya di Jawa Timur. Bakso merupakan makanan siap saji yang digemari masyarakat dan memiliki nilai gizi tinggi, dengan bahan utama berupa daging sapi dan tepung kanji. Proses produksi bakso membutuhkan takaran adonan yang tepat guna menghasilkan tekstur dan cita rasa yang optimal. Meskipun dapat diproduksi secara manual, penggunaan teknologi seperti mesin giling turut mendukung efisiensi dan kualitas produksi. Dengan mempertimbangkan potensi dan popularitasnya, usaha bakso memiliki peluang besar untuk terus dikembangkan sebagai bagian dari penguatan sektor UMKM di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to propose criteria for assessing the readiness of implementing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) for pine wood materials at PT. X to minimize stockout and over inventory. The Kano method was employed to classify supplier criteria into must-be, one-dimensional, and attractive categories. Data were collected through questionnaires filled by five experts from relevant departments. The analysis revealed that must-be criteria include payment terms aligned with the company’s capabilities, ontime delivery, and the supplier’s ability to accommodate demand changes. One-dimensional criteria encompass wood quality compliance and accurate delivery quantity, while attractive criteria involve low wood moisture content, supplier reputation, and responsiveness to schedule changes. The study concludes that supplier readiness in fulfilling must-be criteria is essential for VMI implementation, whereas attractive criteria can enhance company satisfaction. These findings provide a reference for the company in supplier selection and supply chain optimization

Abstract

At PT. Berdikari furniture Nusantara which is a manufacturing company that produces furniture. In the implementation of the production process has 11 stages of the process and the woodworking process into a process with the most reject data of 15.2% for the reject process in each process. In the woodworking process found damaged wood (broken, chunk, damaged) as much as 22% which became the most common type of defect found in the woodworking process. From the existing data, the use of FTA (fault tree analysis) method aims to analyze the factors that cause defects in products. FMEA (failure mode & effect analysis) method aims to identify and determine the proportion and priority of factors causing product defects that must be repaired immediately. From these methods obtained the results of the analysis for the FTA is that there are 4 basic root causes of 2 causal factors, namely the absence of job desc and responsibility, no understanding of maintaining product quality, no work instructions, and no habit of continuous improvement. The results of FMEA analysis that has been conducted interviews at the head of the quality control department that has not understood about maintaining the quality is meant by having a value of RPN (risk priority number) of 252. Available for 3 employees who actually have RPN values each are not yet familiar with ongoing habits with a value of 175, not to mention work instructions with a value of 144, and the most rare are job desc and responsibilities with a value of 48. In the end, the root cause of the improvement will be discussed again so that it is hoped that it can have a positive effect on the company.

Abstract

A jig is a tool or device used to guide or hold an object in the manufacturing or assembly process. Usually, jigs are used to ensure precision and consistency in various types of work, such as drilling, cutting, milling, and assembly. The initial step in making a jig is usually done by creating a design. Design is a creative process that involves planning, arranging, and creating visual or functional elements to achieve certain goals. In a broader context, design is not only limited to the visual arts aspect, but also includes product design, architecture, user experience (UX), as well as communication and graphic design. Tjiwi Kimia Paper Factory, Tbk. PT. Tjiwi Kimia Paper Factory, Tbk. is a paper manufacturing industrial company. PT. Tjiwi Kimia Paper Factory, Tbk has succeeded in becoming the largest paper producing company in Indonesia, even in Asia, with the main product being paper, either in the form of sheet, roll, or has been converted into various kinds of stationery, as well as other products in the form of chemicals, such as NaOH, CaC03, HCl solutions, and others.

Abstract

The Industrial Work Practice (PKL) implemented at PT Semen Gresik Rembang focused on identifying and repairing technical problems in the drum pulley component, which often experiences cracks in the side plate welding area. Damage to this component disrupts the smooth operation of the factory because it hampers the production process. The main objective of this study is to modify the drum pulley design using Autodesk Inventor software and analyze the structural strength of the modified results through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation. The research methods used include observation, interviews with the technical team, and the application of design analysis techniques to overcome the research problems that occur. The results of the FEA analysis show that design modifications can reduce stress concentration at critical points and increase component resistance to dynamic loads. Although the proposed design is better, periodic inspections are still needed to detect damage early and ensure continued production.

Abstract

Current technological developments are rapidly advancing, as seen in the shift towards industrial automation, which is beginning to use robot technology as a substitute for humans. The challenge for vocational high schools is to prepare workers who are ready to face technological developments. The Mini CNC Classroom is an application of this challenge, expected to increase students' interest in learning machining techniques. This development uses the Borg and Gall research method, which involves ten stages of development. Meanwhile, the measurement of learning interest uses a qualitative research method in the form of documents and interviews. The results of the CNC Mini Classroom development can be applied in school environments, particularly at the 10th-grade level. Students' interest in learning is evident through their enthusiasm for learning, and the dropout rate has decreased. Meanwhile, teachers who use the classroom feel supported and are able to develop their teaching effectively.

Abstract

In response to the increasing demand for high-speed and consistent manufacturing processes in the Industry 4.0 era, PT Omron Manufacturing of Indonesia developed an automated solution known as the Auto RSB Case Insert. This system was implemented on the G2R relay production line to replace conventional manual and semi-automated methods. It integrates pneumatic actuation, pick-and-place mechanisms, and camera-based inspection to achieve precise and efficient case insertion. The design aims to reduce cycle time, minimize human error, and ensure product quality consistency. Performance evaluation confirmed that the system meets its target of a ≤3-second cycle time per unit with over 90% accuracy. This development demonstrates the effectiveness of integrated automation in improving production throughput and reliability in modern manufacturing environments.
