Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of Islamic counselling guidance on improving morals at Hidayatullah boarding school in Palopo. The purpose of this research is to 1) find out the implementation of Islamic counselling guidance on the morals of students at Hidayahtullah boarding School and 2) find out the methods of Islamic guidance and counselling on the morals of Hidayatullah boarding school students. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, which is research that describes facts or symptoms by collecting information described in the form of words or narratives using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the implementation of Islamic Guidance and Counseling was realized in the activities of congregational prayers in the mosque, the implementation of tahajud prayers in the mosque, the provision of studies or halaqah, the implementation of Monday-Thursday fasting, the formation of mosque cleaning pickets. Abstract

This research discusses the characteristics of the book Mazhraf al-Basyir by KH. Baidhowi Kajen. KH. Baidhowi himself is a scholar whose lineage is connected to KH. Mutamakkin a famous Waliyullah from Kajen Pati. Mazhraf al-Basyir is one of the books in the field of ulumut tafsir. This research is motivated by the author's desire to know the characteristics of this book, given the very few scholars of the archipelago who authored works in the ulumut tafsir let alone using Arabic. Based on Zainul Milal's records, there are only 5 books of ulumut tafsir written by Nusantara scholars, one of which is Mazhraf al-Basyir. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of the book Mazhraf al-Basyir and also to find out the extent of the contribution of this book to the study of ulumut tafsir.  The method used is qualitative through literature study by reading recording and processing research materials.

Abstract

This article aims to learn more about the practice of mitembeyan traditional ceremonies and explain the impact and meaning of mitembeyan traditional ceremonies before and after Islamic acculturation. Descriptive qualitative methods were used with unstructured interview techniques to support and fulfil the research objectives. Interviews were conducted with several sources who knew about mitembeyan traditional ceremonies, and then data processing was carried out to achieve the research objectives. The findings in this research show that before acculturation with Islam, the purpose of mitembeyan was as a form of respect for Dewi Sri when starting farming, by bringing offerings and other equipment addressed to the ancestors. After mitembeyan acculturated to Islam, the goal changed to gratitude for the blessings of rice, which impacted the preparation and process of mitembeyan traditional ceremonies. Abstract

This article discusses the existence, characteristics and challenges of digital literacy, focusing on the results of research on UIT Lirboyo Kediri santri-students. Digital literacy is an actual theme that is widely researched about measuring and examining the phenomenon of digital literacy in society. One thing that needs to be targeted for research is the digital literacy of students. Research on this theme is important to see the phenomenon of digital literacy in Islamic boarding schools. This research focuses on several things, (1) existence, (2) characteristics, and (3) challenges of digital literacy among santri-students. The method used in this research is qualitative, with informants from students as the primary source and central object of research. This research found that digital literacy among santri-students is quite strong and varied, especially related to things that are the duties of a santri who is also a college student, such as the need to fulfil assignments. The characteristics of student digital literacy are also quite varied, such as efficient and appropriate values, explorative, communicative and skill processing.

Abstract

In negative accusations about the narrative of Islam Nusantara, conflict embryos arise in society. So it is interesting for the writer to explore the relevance of Nusantara Islamic values in the study of hadith. The formulation of the problem of this research is, how is the typology of the Prophet in accepting the cultures of his time, and how is the compatibility of the paradigm of Islam Nusantara with the hadith of Rasulullah SAW. The data sources for this research are hadith books, books, scientific papers, articles, and websites related to the theme of the discussion. The data collection technique is by collecting material manually and through mass media such as Google Scholar, Google Books, and other media whose credibility can be trusted. The data analysis techniques in this research are reading, studying, analyzing, reducing, and then drawing conclusions to get new information from a study. The findings are, the way Rasulullah SAW treats culture, namely, first, revising culture in the direction of Islamic values. Second, explicitly reject a culture that is entirely contrary to Islamic teachings. Third, accept a culture if it does not conflict with Islamic teachings. Furthermore, the Islam Nusantara syllogism is relevant or compatible with the way the Prophet perceived the culture that developed in his time.

Abstract

The character KH. Salimi Mamba'ul Ulum was the choice of researchers because it is unique in not encouraging students to attend formal school at the high school level or equivalent and subsequent levels, this situation is generally referred to as Nyantri Salaf. Its implementation during his time as a caretaker at the al-Salimiyyah Islamic boarding school, which is located in an urban community, gave rise to ideas in the religious, social and cultural fields as well as his struggle for Salafist traditions. This study uses a historical biographical method with a behavioral approach which aims to see how characters interpret the situations they face and the consequences of their actions. The research results show that the thoughts produced by K.H. Salimi Mamba'ul Ulum are a manifestation of what he did during his lifetime. The thought that was born by K.H. Salimi in the religious, social and cultural fields is directly proportional to his struggle to establish Islamic boarding schools, community service institutions, Ramadan safaris and the al-Salimiyyah children's educational park. The results of this research show that K.H. Salimi Mamba'ul Ulum has succeeded in realizing his thoughts and struggles in the religious, social and cultural fields.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a holy book that gives guidance and explanation to humans about everything (QS Al-Baqarah: 185 & An-Nahl: 89), including science and technology. There are various styles of interpretation of the Qur'an, among which is Tafsir Ilmi. Tafsir Ilmi is a style of interpreting the Qur'an with a scientific point of view that aims to reveal the truth of the miracle of the Qur'an. Tafsir ilmi seeks to explain the verses of the Qur'an using scientific theories. Among the books of interpretation that are patterned after scientific interpretation is Tafsir Al-Muntakhab compiled by Egyptian scholars who are members of the Assembly al-'A'la li ash-Syu'un al-Islamiyyah, Ministry of Religious Affairs of Egypt. This research uses a qualitative method with a type of literature study research, through a descriptive-analytical approach. The purpose of this study is to examine the epistemology of tafsir ilmi in the book of Tafsir Al-Muntakhab, related to its sources, methods and validity. Abstract

AbstractThe beginning of the spread of Islam in the archipelago began in the 11th century in the Malacca Peninsula, spread by merchants from the Middle East. Meanwhile, Islam began to establish itself in Java in the 14th century along with the collapse of the Majapahit kingdom. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, using a descriptive approach. The data collection methods used by researchers are interview methods and library research. The specifics of this research are the dualism of the Walisongo preaching school, especially the abangan method used by Sunan Kalijaga and the Putihan method used by Sunan Giri. As a result of this dualism, there was a division of Muslims in Java, so that it became known as Abangan Islam and Putihan Islam. Abangan Muslims tend to worship using art, for example using Javanese musical compositions or songs, while White Muslims worship based on the Koran and hadith in a Kaffah (perfect) manner, they consider worshiping using art to be shirk. Abstract

Without integrity, conflicts of interest, intimidation, privacy violations, and discrimination contribute to a disharmonious work environment and may ultimately undermine an institution's reputation. These concerns have necessitated a more rigorous library-based inquiry into work ethics within the prophetic tradition, analyzed through the lens of Immanuel Kant's ethical framework. The findings suggest that work ethics constitute a fundamental component of Islamic teachings, significantly influencing job satisfaction and professional conduct. This ethical framework encompasses key values such as diligence, teamwork, honesty, and accountability. Furthermore, essential attitudes—particularly for Muslim professionals—include a well-defined purpose in work, a principled approach to wealth, and an awareness of the temporal significance of labor. These values possess a universal character and are applicable across diverse professional settings. The implementation of ethical work principles has demonstrable positive effects on performance, reinforcing an employee’s professional integrity. Aligning occupational practices with ethical standards cultivates an authentic work ethos, characterized by honesty, discipline, creativity, responsibility, and autonomy.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the meaning and labeling of khalaf or modern in Islamic boarding schools and how to build character or character building in modern Islamic boarding schools. This research uses the library research method using article study materials through journals, theses, theses and books. Character education is the cultivation of habits that are carried out in a continuous, measurable and directed manner to form a good, honest, strong and independent personality. In some advanced and modern Islamic boarding schools (in which there is formal education, even up to universities) they usually apply high discipline and there are also those who apply semi-military discipline. In the development of Islamic boarding schools and character education in modern Islamic boarding schools, it has become a trend in itself, especially in terms of learning, which generally uses modern technology with a curriculum that combines the Islamic boarding school curriculum with the curriculum in formal and even international schools. In terms of language, modern Islamic boarding schools generally use Arabic and English. From the results of the author's literacy study, it can be concluded that character education at the Khalaf Islamic boarding school in each institution has the following characteristics: instilling high discipline, familiarization with foreign languages, students increasing their extracurricular activities, learning using modern technology, expensive entrance fees and tuition fees, high standards for graduates. talent, orientation is more towards utilizing the competencies of students and generally the management of the Khalaf Islamic boarding school is well structured
