Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the use of APBDes in village development in road infrastructure and assistance from the village head in prospering the community. The method used in this study is a qualitative method for descriptive data analysis, the research is carried out by observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation.

Abstract

Vitamin D is a nutrient known to play an important role in maintaining healthy bones and the immune system, and has a significant impact on the physical and mental health of older adults. Lack or excess of vitamin D can have an impact on the health of the elderly. In this PKM program, training will be provided regarding the introduction of types of vitamin D and calculating the correct dose of vitamin D for the elderly. This PKM was held at the RPTRA of Krendang Subdistrict, Tambora, West Jakarta, on March 7th 2024. The activity began with welcoming remarks by the subdistrict, registration, filling out questionnaires, training, question and answer, giving souvenirs and foods. In this program, 33 elderly attended, and the majority were women. Most elderly do not know about vitamin D. It is hoped that this training can provide good information and understanding about the importance of vitamin D and how to consume it properly.

Abstract

OSIS is the largest independent organization in the school environment which provides a shelter for other organizations that exist under the supervision of OSIS. The progress and withdrawal of the OSIS depends on the management performance and leadership qualities of the OSIS administrators who are selected students who have passed the selection and are deemed worthy and capable of managing the OSIS for 1 (one) year of service. The event was carried out as part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and collaboration between SMK Mandala Bhakti Surakarta and Duta Bangsa University Surakarta. The result of this Community Service objective is that OSIS administrators understand more about leadership in organizations, and at the same time provides practice on how to be a good leader in organizations. In addition, it provides an understanding of how they become good members of the organization.

Abstract

 In facing the era of digital transformation, various sectors, including the religious sector, must be ready to adapt. At Taqwa Rosemary Mosque, which previously only conveyed information about its religious activities through loudspeakers, the dissemination of this information was limited to certain times. This caused many congregants and the surrounding community to not receive the information effectively. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the dissemination of information through the use of web media to present information more broadly and sustainably. A training program on digital information management has been implemented, yielding positive results on the knowledge and perceptions of the mosque administrators with very good evaluation scores, as well as satisfactory partner satisfaction with this activity.

Abstract

Smoking behavior in Indonesia is a major concern because of its impact on public health, especially with the increase in the number of adult smokers from 60,3 million in 2011 to 70,2 million in 2021 and the prevalence of smoking in adolescents aged 10-18 years from 7,2% to 9,1% in 2018. Men dominate adult smokers with a prevalence of 64,7%, while women are 2,3%. Smoking at home has a significant impact on the health of family members, especially women and children who are more vulnerable to exposure to passive cigarette smoke. Data shows that 56,8% of households are exposed to cigarette smoke, which increases the risk of heart disease, COPD, asthma, cancer, pneumonia, bronchitis, and SIDS. Therefore, education about the dangers of smoking at home is needed. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge about the dangerous impacts of cigarette smoke and efforts to stop smoking at home through "GERAK MASBRO", namely the smoke-free community movement. Increasing knowledge through counseling, educational media, and the establishment of smoking huts can raise public awareness so that they can prevent smoking habits at home.

Abstract

Blood pressure is the force exerted by blood against the walls of blood vessels and is generated by the pressure of blood against the walls of arteries when the blood is pumped from the heart to the tissues. Hypertension itself is a chronic condition that can persistently increase > 140/80 mmHg. Hypertension is also called the silent killer because hypertension sufferers are often unaware of the symptoms. Based on 2018 RISKESDAS data, the hypertension rate in the DKI Jakarta area is 10.17% and is the 6th largest province in Indonesia with hypertension patients. Based on the still high rate of hypertension in DKI Jakarta, especially East Jakarta, community service was carried out in the form of measuring blood pressure and administering blood pressure medication. The method used is mass treatment of residents whose blood pressure is measured as high. The nurse self-measured using a digital blood pressure monitor and after measuring it, the result was high blood pressure, so it was then recommended that you go to a general practitioner for a thorough examination. It was found that there was a high prevalence of blood pressure above normal (71.87%) consisting of 12 people (37.50%) with grade I hypertension and 11 people with grade II hypertension (34.37%). By knowing the picture of blood pressure levels, it is hoped that community empowerment can increase.

Abstract

 Earthquakes are a natural phenomenon that causes a very large and very detrimental disaster impact. There needs to be awareness of the importance of disaster preparedness and response to minimize the impacts of disasters. Not only for adults, children also need to be introduced to disaster preparedness from an early age. One effort that can be made to improve the preparedness of children in Elementary Schools is to provide health education and earthquake disaster preparedness simulations. The purpose of this activity is to increase elementary school students' knowledge about earthquake disaster preparedness and introduce earthquake disaster preparedness students. The method used is to provide health education through lectures, discussions, quizzes, role plays, and earthquake disaster preparedness simulations for grade VI SDN Sukajadi, Subang Regency. The results of this activity are that students have a series of practical experiences through disaster preparedness student simulations. It is hoped that schools will be able to provide an understanding through earthquake disaster preparedness education, and conduct simulations together with the Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kabupaten Subang.

Abstract

The development of leadership capacity and entrepreneurial interest among students is a crucial aspect of creating a young generation ready to face the challenges of the digital era. This service aims to provide guidance and strategies in efforts to enhance students' leadership capacity and entrepreneurial interest through various programs and activities relevant to contemporary needs. The method used in this service involved conducting a two-day seminar with participants from Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika students, the general public, and SMEs actors in Mataram City. The series of seminars and discussions indicated that the application of digital technology in entrepreneurship education and training can increase students' interest and ability in entrepreneurship. Additionally, the development of leadership capacity through mentoring programs, workshops, and digitally-based seminars has also proven effective in enhancing students' leadership skills. This study concludes that integrating digital technology in the development of leadership capacity and entrepreneurship is a strategic step that can provide significant positive impacts for students. Proposed recommendations include increasing collaboration between universities and industries, as well as developing digital platforms for higher education institutions that support more interactive and practical entrepreneurship education and training. Thus, it is expected that students can become innovative and highly competitive leaders in this digital era.

Abstract

The mentoring of teachers in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is a strategic step to ensure the success of educational reform in Indonesia. At MTs and MA Darul Falah, this mentoring includes planning, execution, and evaluation, focusing on enhancing teachers' competencies as well as applying innovative teaching strategies and methods. The main objective of this mentoring is to improve the understanding of teachers at MTs and MA Darul Falah regarding the principles and practices of the Merdeka Curriculum. This approach uses a qualitative method with observation and documentation study. Observations were conducted during face-to-face Forum Group Discussions (FGD) and during mentoring sessions at MTs and MA Darul Falah. The results of the mentoring show that teachers experienced an increase in their understanding and skills related to the Merdeka Curriculum. The service activities resulted in an average posttest score of 8.8, with an n-gain increase reaching 0.81, categorized as very good. Additionally, the mentoring was effective in creating Merdeka Curriculum administrative instruments, achieving a suitability rate of 87.5%. The high posttest scores indicate successful knowledge transfer, while the high satisfaction level of participants reflects strong approval of the training and mentoring provided. Active discussions and experience sharing during the activities allowed teachers to find joint solutions to learning challenges. It is hoped that this mentoring will prepare teachers at MTs and MA Darul Falah to prepare curriculum changes, enhance their motivation and confidence in teaching according to the Merdeka Curriculum, and foster collaboration and innovation in teaching practices.

Abstract

The importance of understanding the implications of digital transformation in the way people learn is emphasized to face rapid technological changes. With technological advances, many changes will be brought, information that arrives so quickly, learning by the community that is easy to do anywhere and anytime because in today's era, technology has lived side by side with society.
