Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of madrasah heads in improving teacher professionalism through the application of Islamic education management principles. Teacher professionalism plays a crucial role in achieving quality learning, encompassing not only aspects of teaching competence but also the application of Islamic teachings in teachers' behavior and work ethics. In this research, the researcher uses a qualitative research method with a type of library research approach. This study analyzes various related literature to describe in detail the role of madrasah heads in supporting the development of teacher professionalism. The results of the study show that the head of the madrasah has six main roles, namely as a manager, evaluator, administrator, supervisor, leader, and motivator. Each of these roles contributes to the improvement of teachers' pedagogical competence, professional ethics, and learning innovation. In the context of Islamic education, the application of principles such as sincerity, honesty, justice, trust, and responsibility is the foundation in building professionalism that is not only oriented to academic results but also to the formation of Islamic character. It is hoped that this research can contribute to formulating educational policies and improving teacher competence in Islamic teachings in madrasah.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of group guidance through traditional games in improving interpersonal communication among orphanage children. The purpose is to determine the level of interpersonal communication before the application of traditional games and to assess the effectiveness of group guidance through traditional games for the children at the orphanage. This study uses a quantitative research method with an experimental design of one-group pretest and posttest. The population in this study consists of 18 children, with a purposive sampling technique selecting 12 children from the Amanah Rasal Orphanage. The results show that first, the TSR (high, medium, low) test revealed that the level of interpersonal communication (low) had a percentage of 92%. After the group guidance was applied through traditional games, the interpersonal communication level of the orphanage children increased to 75%. Secondly, from the paired samples T-test, the Asymp.sig (2-tailed) value was 0.000 < 0.005, meaning that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. There is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Thus, it can be concluded that group guidance through traditional games is effective in improving interpersonal communication among orphanage children.

Abstract

This study aims to explore trends in research methods used in the study of bullying in early childhood education settings. Using content analysis of 40 articles published between 2014-2024. The findings show there is an increasing trend of research on the theme of bullying in early childhood education settings. Descriptive qualitative research is the most widely used method. The results revealed that bullying is influenced by individual factors such as aggressiveness and lack of empathy, families with authoritarian parenting and domestic violence, and schools that lack supervision and have a permissive culture. The impact includes physical, mental, social, and emotional disorders, including depression, low self-esteem, and difficulty interacting. Lack of intervention in schools, as well as the normalization of violence in mass media and digital content, further exacerbates bullying behavior by increasing children's aggressiveness. Therefore, the role of teachers, parents, and communities is crucial in creating a safe environment through anti-bullying policies, social emotional skills training, and interventions for victims and perpetrators.

This research was carried out at UPTD SD Negeri 79 Barru with a trial involving 21 students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Alessi & Trollip development model. The results of this media development prototype research present material not only in the form of text, but also through learning videos, relevant videos, and equipped with interactive quizzes to test students' understanding, so that learning becomes more interesting and interactive. The results of media validation are in the very valid category based on the Gregory test, with a reliability value of 1, as well as materials that also obtain a reliability value of 1. This learning media is practically used in the learning process, based on the results of observations with an average score of 1.00 (implemented category), teacher response questionnaires with an average of 1.00 (implemented categories), and student response questionnaires with an average of 0.99 (implemented categories), so that the total average practicality reaches 0.99%. The effectiveness of the media can be seen from the results of the pretest and posttest scores on the test, where all students achieved learning completeness, proving that this media is effective. This shows that there is an improvement in Indonesian learning outcomes through the use of interactive multimedia based on educational game applications.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using art therapy techniques in reducing narcissistic behavior among students. The approach employed is a quantitative method with an experimental research design, specifically a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 21 tenth-grade students (Class X-1) at MAPN 4 Medan who were identified as having high levels of narcissism based on the Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI-16) questionnaire. Data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, and the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results of the normality test indicated that the data were not normally distributed (Sig. < 0.05), thus, non-parametric testing was applied. The homogeneity test showed that the variances of pretest and posttest data were homogeneous (Sig. > 0.05). The Wilcoxon test results revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), with all participants scoring lower on the posttest than the pretest, indicating a significant reduction in narcissistic behavior after the intervention. Therefore, group counseling services using art therapy techniques proved to be effective in reducing narcissistic behavior among students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services with visualization techniques in increasing students' resilience against bullying. The research method used was quantitative with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 20 students of class VIII of MTsN 2 Medan who were divided into an experimental and a control group. The researcher prepared a bullying resistance scale that was used in the research instrument. The paired sample t-test statistical test results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005, indicating a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental class. In contrast, the significance value of the control class was 0.021 > 0.005, indicating no significant change. The independent samples t-test results also showed a significant difference between the two groups, namely a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005. Thus, group guidance services with visualization techniques are effective in increasing students' resilience against bullying.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess the effectiveness of group counseling services using the Overcoming Resistance To Change technique to improve the self-efficacy of students at SMA Negeri 4 Tanjung Balai. The researcher employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type, specifically using a pretest-posttest control Group design. The population consists of all 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Tanjung Balai, totaling 84 students, with a sample size of 16 students: 8 students in the experimental group and 8 students in the control group, who have low self-efficacy. The sampling method used is non-probability sampling, specifically purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using a self-efficacy scale. The data analysis technique used is the t-test with the help of SPSS version 25, yielding a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. The output for pair 1 shows a thitung value of 27.693 with a Sig value of 0.000 (2-tailed) < 0.005. Meanwhile, the output for pair 2 shows a Sig value of 14.095 and a sig value of 0.000. The sig value of 0.000 < 0.005 indicates that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This shows that the experimental class using group guidance services with the Overcoming Resistance To Change technique is effective in increasing the Self Efficacy of students who work part-time at SMA Negeri 4 Tanjung Balai.
