Abstract

Cases of sexual violence against boys are often overlooked due to social stigma and gender constructs that assume men are stronger and able to protect themselves. The lack of appropriate interventions increases the risk of revictimization, which can result in prolonged trauma and the possibility of becoming a perpetrator of violence in the future. This study aims to describe psychosocial interventions as an effort to prevent revictimization in male victims of sexual violence. The approach used in this research is qualitative with a case study method at Yayasan Kepedulian Anak (KAKAK) Surakarta. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with two facilitators who have experience in dealing with child victims of sexual violence. The results showed that psychosocial interventions, particularly through programs such as Temu Penguatan Keluarga (TEPAK), contribute to creating a safer environment for victims by involving families in the recovery process. The conclusion of this study confirms that comprehensive and contextual psychosocial interventions through emotional assistance, psychological strengthening, as well as family and community involvement, have a positive impact in supporting the recovery of male victims of sexual violence and preventing revictimization.

Abstract

This research discusses the management of individual and group counseling in efforts to prevent bullying at SDN Tipar. The research focus includes planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating counseling programs. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach, where data is collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research subjects consisted of school principals, teachers, students, and parents who were involved in bullying prevention programs. The research results show that counseling planning is carried out systematically in one semester, starting with an initial assessment and data collection on at-risk students. Organizing the program involves forming a Bullying Prevention Team consisting of teachers, homeroom teachers, school principals, as well as anti-bullying student ambassadors. Program implementation includes individual counseling for students who experience bullying, group counseling to increase social awareness, as well as social skills training through discussion and simulation methods. Program evaluations are carried out regularly through surveys, interviews, and monitoring student behavior to measure program effectiveness. The findings of this research show that a systematic and collaborative management approach can reduce the number of bullying cases and increase students' awareness of the negative impacts of bullying. The evaluation results also showed positive behavioral changes in students who were previously involved in bullying cases. Thus, the management of structured individual and group counseling can be an effective strategy in creating a safe and comfortable school environment for all students.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Hypnotherapy Direct Suggestion technique in improving the emotional regulation of students who are addicted to social media. This approach was chosen because hypnotherapy allows individuals to receive positive suggestions that can help them better manage their emotions. The research method used was an experiment with the One Group Pretest-Posttest design, where the research subjects consisted of 15 students of the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Prima Indonesia, who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. The selection of subjects was based on a high level of social media addiction, which was measured through a scale of social media use intensity. The intervention was carried out in a hypnotherapy session with the direct suggestion technique, which aims to instill positive suggestions into the subject's subconscious mind. Emotion regulation measurements were carried out before and after the intervention using the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) scale, which has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed a significant improvement in emotion regulation after being given therapy (p < 0.05). In addition, observations and interviews with subjects supported these findings, where participants showed positive behavioral changes, such as reduced time spent using social media and increased awareness of its negative impacts. This research provides important implications for psychological interventions in dealing with social media addiction and improving students' emotional well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the correlation between spiritual intelligence and psychological well-being among students in Islamic educational institutions, as well as to identify the role of the educational environment in strengthening this relationship. The research method used a quantitative correlational approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 200 students selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Spiritual Intelligence Scale (adapted from SISRI-24) and the Psychological Well-being Scale (based on Ryff's model), and analysed using Pearson's correlation test and linear regression. The results of the study indicate a significant positive correlation between spiritual intelligence and psychological well-being (r=0.62; p<0.01), with spiritual intelligence contributing 38.4% to the variation in psychological well-being. The dimensions of transcendental awareness and the ability to find meaning in life emerged as the strongest predictors. Qualitative analysis revealed that religious practices and an Islamic educational environment act as mediators in strengthening this relationship. These findings support Zohar and Marshall's theory of spiritual intelligence and Ryff's psychological well-being model, while also offering practical implications for the development of holistic educational programs in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study explores the effect of skincare product texture on users’ emotional responses, especially female adolescents aged 16–21 years. Using mixed-method, quantitative and qualitative approach, this study is conducted in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung, Banyumas, and Yogyakarta. Total of 30 participants in this study follow three stages of product use: First Touch, During Application, and After-Absorption. Participants’ emotions are measured using the Self-Assessment Manikin (SAM) for the dimensions of valence, arousal, and dominance, and also the PANAS scale to measure changes in positive and negative emotions before and after using the skincare product. The result shows that at the First Touch stage, there is no significant difference in emotions statistically. However, qualitative data reveal variations in perceptions of sticky or runny texture. At the During Application stage, softness shows a significant effect on the sense of control and positive emotions. Meanwhile, at the After-Absorption stage, stickiness, greasiness, and film residue have a significant effect. Product with a soft texture, fast absorption, and no residue (product 2) is the most preferred and show to significantly reduce negative emotions based on the PANAS scale. This study emphasizes the importance of considering texture in skincare product development, as sensory experiences play a role in shaping user emotions. Further research is recommended to explore ingredients such as humectants and occlusives, as well as using physiological tools such as facial coding or EEG to gain a more objective understanding.
