Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia
Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia (JPI) adalah jurnal ilmiah yang mempublikasikan karya penelitian dan artikel ilmiah terkait dengan bidang pendidikan. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan wadah bagi para akademisi, peneliti, praktisi, dan pemerhati pendidikan untuk berbagi pengetahuan, pengalaman, serta hasil penelitian terkini. Fokus utama dari Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia mencakup, tetapi tidak terbatas pada, berbagai aspek pendidikan, termasuk: Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah: Meliputi penelitian dan artikel tentang kurikulum, metode mengajar, evaluasi pembelajaran, pendekatan inovatif dalam pembelajaran, pendidikan karakter, pengembangan kepribadian siswa, dan isu-isu terkini dalam pendidikan dasar dan menengah. Pendidikan Tinggi: Membahas berbagai topik terkait pendidikan tinggi, seperti kebijakan pendidikan tinggi, manajemen perguruan tinggi, pengajaran dan pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi, penilaian kualitas pendidikan tinggi, pendidikan vokasi, dan inovasi dalam pendidikan tinggi. Pendidikan Inklusif: Menyajikan penelitian dan artikel tentang pendidikan inklusif, pendidikan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus, pendidikan inklusif di sekolah umum, dan strategi pendidikan untuk memastikan kesetaraan kesempatan bagi semua siswa. Teknologi Pendidikan: Meliputi penelitian tentang pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, penggunaan media pembelajaran, e-learning, blended learning, pengembangan aplikasi dan platform pendidikan, serta analisis dampak teknologi dalam proses pendidikan. Pengembangan Profesi Guru: Menyajikan penelitian dan artikel terkait dengan pengembangan profesionalisme guru, pelatihan dan pengembangan kompetensi guru, penilaian kinerja guru, dan isu-isu terkini dalam pengembangan profesi guru. Kebijakan Pendidikan: Membahas kebijakan pendidikan, evaluasi kebijakan, analisis dampak kebijakan pendidikan, serta isu-isu kebijakan pendidikan di tingkat nasional dan lokal. Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia mengundang kontribusi artikel ilmiah berbasis penelitian empiris, tinjauan literatur, artikel konseptual, dan ulasan buku yang relevan dengan fokus dan lingkup di atas. Semua artikel yang dikirimkan akan melalui proses review oleh para pakar dalam bidang pendidikan guna memastikan kualitas dan keakuratan konten yang dipublikasikan.

<![CDATA[This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the history behind the establishment of the Abbasid Dynasty. It employs a historical approach using the historical method, which includes the collection, verification, interpretation, and presentation of data from reliable sources. The findings indicate that the establishment of the Abbasid Dynasty was influenced by several key factors. First, widespread dissatisfaction with the governance of the Umayyad Dynasty, which was perceived as unjust and authoritarian. Second, the ambition of the Abbasid family, who believed they had stronger legitimacy to lead the caliphate due to their closer lineage to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) compared to the Umayyads. Third, the forced seizure of power by the Umayyads during the tragic Battle of Siffin. Fourth, the lavish lifestyle of some Umayyad caliphs, which often deviated from Islamic values in terms of worship and conduct. This study is expected to contribute significantly to understanding the political and social dynamics of the early Abbasid era.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to compare the effects of the Problem Solving and Discovery Learning models on students' mathematical communication skills in grade XI at SMA Aliyah-Washliyah 36 Serbelawan. The sample was randomly selected using random sampling techniques, with class XI MIA I employing the Problem Solving model and class XI MIA II utilizing the Discovery Learning model. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and tests, then analyzed using statistical tests to examine the research hypothesis. The results showed that both learning models had a significant effect on students' mathematical communication skills. The average score for the Problem Solving model was 1.99, while the Discovery Learning model achieved 2.19, indicating a significant difference between the two. This study concludes that both Problem Solving and Discovery Learning are effective in enhancing students' mathematical communication skills, with Discovery Learning yielding slightly better results. These findings recommend teachers select suitable learning models based on students' needs.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the impact of the Drill and Practice teaching method on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in quadratic equations and functions in grade XI Perbankan and XI TKR at SMK Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan. The results show that implementing the Drill and Practice method significantly improved students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The average initial ability score (pretest) was 59, which was below the mastery level. After learning with the Drill and Practice method, the average score increased to 76, exceeding the mastery level, with an improvement of 17 points. Statistical tests revealed a significant influence of the Drill and Practice method on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The t-test calculation produced a tvalue of 26.09, which is greater than the ttable value of 1.70 (tvalue > ttable). Thus, the hypothesis that the Drill and Practice method positively influences students' mathematical problem-solving abilities is accepted.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to develop contextual-based learning tools to facilitate students' mathematical problem-solving skills in the topic of Three-Dimensional Space for eighth-grade students of SMP/MTs. The developed tools include a syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets using the 4-D model consisting of the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Validation results indicate that the learning tools meet the criteria of being highly valid, with an average score of 94.80% for the syllabus, 96.65% for the lesson plans, and 91.65% for the student worksheets. The validated student worksheets were tested on nine students to assess readability, resulting in an average score of 91.12%, while practicality scores were 93.30% from students and 94.13% from teachers, both categorized as highly practical. These findings demonstrate that the developed learning tools are valid, practical, and effective in facilitating students' mathematical problem-solving skills in the Three-Dimensional Space topic.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to explore the influence of the principal's transformational leadership on teacher performance and school quality. With a quantitative descriptive approach, a survey was used as a data collection instrument involving teachers in several junior high schools in Meranti Islands Regency. Data analysis used SPSS version 24 to test validity, reliability and carry out multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that the principal's transformational leadership has a significant influence on teacher performance and school quality, with a contribution of 51.4%, while 48.6% is influenced by other variables. This research fills the gap in the literature regarding the application of transformational leadership in the context of Indonesian schools. These findings provide new insight into the importance of inspirational and inclusive transformational leadership in improving the quality of education. The novelty of the research lies in the holistic and contextual approach, as well as in-depth empirical analysis regarding its implementation. The research also identified concrete strategies for school principals to improve teacher competency and educational quality. These findings are relevant for policy makers and educational practitioners in developing strategies to improve the quality of education.]]>

<![CDATA[This study explores the influence of school management and organizational culture on the performance of junior high school teachers in the Meranti Islands Regency. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 143 civil servant teachers from 41 junior high schools as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using regression methods to examine the relationship between the independent variables (school management and organizational culture) and the dependent variable (teacher performance). The results revealed that school management and organizational culture collectively have a significant impact on teacher performance. The F-value (8.945) was greater than the F-table value (2.67) with a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). These findings confirm that both variables significantly influence teacher performance when combined. The study is limited to civil servant teachers in the Meranti Islands Regency, and its results may not be generalizable to other regions or teachers with different employment statuses. The findings have practical implications for school administrators and policymakers to enhance teacher performance through improvements in school management, organizational culture, and workload management. Additionally, the study contributes to the literature on factors influencing teacher performance in remote areas, which remains an under-researched topic.]]>

<![CDATA[Cyberbullying is a form type of bullying that occurs via digital platforms which includes sending hurtful, insulting or intimidating messages or content intentionally and repeatedly which can have a negative impact on students' emotional well-being and academic achievement. School counselors play an important role in integrating SEL into educational programs to prevent and address cyberbullying. Create positive schools, the aim of this article is to apply Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in preventive and curative interventions against the negative impacts of cyberbullying. The method used is descriptive with a systematic literature review (SLR), which analyzes literature related to the application of SEL in reducing the negative impact of cyberbullying. The results showed that cyberbullying had a significant impact on students' emotional and academic well-being, including anxiety, depression, decreased academic achievement and that SEL integration by school counselors helped students develop emotional resilience, improve social relationships, and maintain their academic performance. This research recommends implementing SEL-based anti-cyberbullying policies in schools]]>

<![CDATA[Effective communication between teachers and students plays a crucial role in building positive relationships, which not only influence the classroom atmosphere but also directly impact the success of the learning process. This study employs a qualitative approach using the Systematic Literature Review method to analyze relevant literature. The literature was obtained from Google Scholar, selected based on the relevance of the titles and abstracts to the research theme. The findings indicate that effective communication between teachers and students can enhance students' self-confidence, learning motivation, and mutual respect, thereby creating a conducive learning environment. Conversely, ineffective communication may trigger conflicts, reduce learning enthusiasm, and lead to an unproductive classroom atmosphere, ultimately hindering the achievement of educational goals.]]>

<![CDATA[Students' mathematical understanding ability is often low, particularly on the Cartesian coordinate material, due to the lack of innovative learning media used in schools. This study aims to develop Kartematika, an Android-based learning media that is valid and practical for facilitating students' mathematical understanding. The research employs the 4-D development model, which includes the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Data collection instruments include validation sheets and student response questionnaires, while data analysis techniques involve validity and practicality tests. Validation results show that the learning media achieved a validity level of 93.6%, categorized as highly valid. Practicality tests were conducted in two stages, yielding results of 91.4% (highly practical) in a small group trial and 89.6% (highly practical) in a large group trial. Based on the findings, the Android-based Kartematika learning media meets the criteria of validity and practicality, making it suitable for improving students' mathematical understanding on Cartesian coordinate material. This media is expected to serve as an innovative solution for mathematics learning in schools.]]>

<![CDATA[This study is an exploratory research aimed at uncovering the relationship between mathematical concepts and the traditional Mangkuak Basayak cake, a distinctive delicacy from West Sumatra. The primary focus of this research is to explore ethnomathematical elements in community activities, particularly in the process of making and shaping the cake, which has the potential to become a contextual source for mathematics learning. Using ethnographic methods, data collection involved direct observation, in-depth interviews with cultural practitioners, documentation, and field notes adhering to the principles of authentic ethnographic description. The findings indicate that the process of making Mangkuak Basayak involves various mathematical concepts, such as proportional comparisons of ingredients, measurements, and geometric shapes visible in the cake's structure. These findings affirm that local culture can be integrated into mathematics education to enhance students' understanding through contextual approaches relevant to daily life.]]>
