Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of price, product quality, and brand image on consumer purchasing decisions at Matahari Department Store in Palopo City. As competition intensifies in the modern retail sector, especially in fashion, understanding the factors that drive consumer choices becomes increasingly vital. The research employed a quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis to process data collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires from 50 respondents. The findings reveal that price and brand image have a significant influence on consumer purchase decisions, while product quality does not have a statistically significant effect. This suggests that in this retail context, consumers place greater emphasis on perceived value and brand reputation rather than product quality, which is assumed to meet standard expectations. These results underscore the need for retail businesses to focus on competitive pricing and brand development strategies in order to enhance consumer engagement and purchasing behavior. The study provides valuable insights for marketing practitioners seeking to align business strategies with evolving consumer preferences in mid-sized urban markets.

Abstract

Abstract

Waste management in informal settlement areas in Indonesia is still a complex environmental issue. Limited government services, population density, and minimal infrastructure conditions make waste a major source of pollution and health risks. In the last ten years, the community-based waste governance (CBWG) approach has been widely encouraged by local governments and civil society organizations. However, the effectiveness of this approach varies, depending on local capacity, policy support, and sustainability of citizen participation. This study aims to review the CBWG approach in Indonesia's informal settlements by examining the factors that strengthen or weaken the initiative. The study was conducted in three major cities through a qualitative method that included in-depth interviews with residents, community leaders, NGOs, and environmental officials, as well as participatory observation at the RT/RW level. The results showed that the success of the CBWG was greatly influenced by strong community leadership, economic incentives from recycling activities, and synergy between residents and local government support. On the contrary, fragmentation of responsibilities and lack of long-term planning are the main obstacles. These findings emphasize the importance of building a hybrid governance model that combines local wisdom, institutional support, and social innovation to realize an inclusive, sustainable, and contextual waste management system for informal areas in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the challenges and opportunities faced by high school history teachers in utilizing social media, especially TikTok, as a learning medium. With a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, content observations, documentation studies, and open questionnaires to teachers and students in the city of Medan and its surroundings. The results show that teachers face a number of challenges, including limited digital skills, limited time to create content, lack of institutional support, and obstacles to access to technology and the internet. However, behind these challenges, TikTok and other social media open up great opportunities in creating more interesting, visual, and contextual historical learning for the digital native generation. Teachers who are able to innovate in the use of social media have been proven to increase student engagement, build a living historical narrative, and create participatory and collaborative learning spaces. The strategies implemented include collaboration with students in content production, adaptation of popular trends, and the use of TikTok's interactive features. This study concludes that the success of the use of social media in history learning is determined by teachers' readiness in pedagogical and digital aspects, as well as support from the school environment and education policies. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy and policies that support social media-based learning innovations is needed to create relevant, creative, and meaningful historical education in the digital era.

Abstract

In this study, the impact of perceived ease of use and usefulness on repurchase intention is examined using customer satisfaction as a mediating variable for Tokopedia users in Tangerang Regency. Using a quantitative approach with a qualitative approach, 107 respondents were selected using the purposive sample technique. The Partial Least SquareStructural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) method is used for data analysis. The study's findings indicate that perceived ease of use has a positive and significant impact on repurchase intention on customer satisfaction.Conversely, Perceived usefulness has no impact on repurchase intention; it simply influences customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the association between perceived ease of use and usefulness and repurchase intention has not been shown to be mediated by customer satisfaction. According to this research, perceived utility is insufficient to motivate repurchase decisions in the absence of customer happiness, while simplicity of use is a significant element in fostering customer loyalty. The findings of this study suggest that e-commerce managers should concentrate more on creating user-friendly systems in order to boost client loyalty and happiness

Abstract

The development of e-commerce in Indonesia grows rapidly, so it is expected to increase the potential tax that will be obtained by the country. However, tax compliance is a challenge, especially because Indonesia implements a self-assessment system to collect taxes, where taxpayers calculate, pay, and report their own taxes. As per attribution theory, e-commerce tax compliance can be caused by both internal and external factors. Therefore, a study was conducted with an associative approach, to analyze several factors that affect e-commerce taxpayer compliance. This study is a quantitative research, using primary data, namely by distributing questionnaires to as many as 90 respondents. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling approach from 735 e-commerce sellers in Medan City, which are the population in this study. The data was processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS apps, and analyzed by multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study show that Tax Knowledge, Taxpayer Awareness, Tax Counseling, Tax Rates, and Tax Sanctions partially and simultaneously have an influence on E-commerce Taxpayer Compliance in Medan City.
