Abstract

Bullying is a serious issue in the education sector that negatively affects children’s mental, emotional, and academic development. Schools, which should serve as safe spaces for children’s growth, can instead become environments filled with psychological pressure due to students’ low legal awareness regarding bullying practices. The community service program at SD Negeri 15 Bengkulu City was designed to build students’ legal awareness of bullying as a preventive measure against child violence. The purpose of this activity was to provide an understanding of the concept of bullying, its impacts, and preventive strategies through interactive and applicable learning approaches. The implementation was carried out over four sessions from 11 August to 4 September 2025 involving 31 fifth-grade students. The Teaching Methodology approach was applied through five stages: interactive lectures, group discussions, role-playing, educational ice breaking, as well as evaluation and reflection. Each stage was designed to foster students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor understanding so they are able to identify, reject, and prevent bullying. The results show a significant increase in students’ understanding of the types of bullying, its consequences, and the preventive actions they can take. Students’ emotional responses during discussions and role-plays demonstrate greater sensitivity toward victims’ feelings, increased willingness to report bullying cases, and stronger commitment to creating a supportive classroom environment. The short-term impact of this program is enhanced student legal literacy on bullying, while the medium-term impact is reflected in the emergence of a culture of mutual respect in the classroom. In the long term, this program is expected to help establish a child-friendly school free from violent practices. The outputs generated include improved student legal literacy, a community service report, and a scientific publication that may serve as a reference for developing similar programs in other schools. Through a repetitive and participatory approach, this program demonstrates that building legal awareness of bullying requires a systematic process that integratively addresses children’s cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects.

Abstract

The family is the smallest unit in society that plays an important role in shaping a generation that is faithful, morally upright, and prosperous. However, the development of the times and modern social challenges often affect the harmony and resilience of families. This community service activity aims to increase the understanding and awareness of mothers in Dusun Gayam, Mojopuro Village, Jatiroto Sub-district, Wonogiri Regency, about the concept of a blissful family through religious studies conducted in regular study forums. The implementation methods include interactive lectures and continuous guidance on Islamic values in building a harmonious, loving, and responsible household. The results of the activity show an increase in participants' understanding of the principles of a blissful family, such as good communication among family members, balanced role-sharing, and strengthened spirituality through communal worship. In addition, this activity also strengthens the bond among members of the study group and fosters the spirit to apply Islamic values in daily family life. Thus, this development program is expected to be a concrete step in forming a religious, harmonious, and prosperous society.

Abstract

Background: Occupational accidents in Indonesian healthcare facilities continue to occur due to inconsistent implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), particularly in the handling of medical equipment, maintenance of workplace cleanliness, and management of contaminated materials. Methods: This community service program involved 10 clinical staff and included a health education intervention on environmental hygiene, equipment decontamination, and linen management. Pre-test and post-test assessments were administered to measure knowledge improvement, and educational materials were delivered using leaflets and posters. Results: The findings indicate that all respondents (100%) adhered to environmental hygiene procedures, including waste segregation, appropriate use of personal protective equipment, and proper handling of spills and sharp waste. Compliance with equipment decontamination procedures was also high (100%), although 10% of respondents were unaware of the availability of written SOPs. Most respondents performed linen management correctly; however, inconsistencies remained in understanding responsibility for washing and storage. Conclusion: Environmental hygiene was applied optimally, linen management was mostly appropriate despite minor inconsistencies, and equipment decontamination showed strong compliance with established standards. Strengthening written SOPs, regular training, and continuous supervision are recommended to maintain service quality and patient safety.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of understanding religious values on the social tolerance of sixth-grade students at SDIT Az-Zikro. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The study population was all 25 sixth-grade students, with a sample of 15 students selected purposively. The research instrument was a validated Likert-scale questionnaire. The results of the analysis indicate that understanding religious values has a positive influence on students' social tolerance. The better the understanding of religious values, the higher their tolerance in the school environment.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to strengthen the understanding of mothers in Dusun Gayam regarding Islamic parenting principles as an essential foundation for building a harmonious (sakinah) family, especially in households where the husbands work away from home. The seminar, titled “Mothers as the First School: Understanding Parenting Styles and Their Influence on Child Development,” was held on September 12, 2025, at Pos PAUD Kartika Siwi and attended by housewives who largely carry dual roles in childcare. The program employed several approaches, including material presentations, interactive discussions, and direct observations to assess participants’ learning outcomes. The findings indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of Islamic parenting concepts, various parenting styles, and the importance of balancing affection with discipline. The mothers demonstrated positive changes in their perspectives and emotional readiness as primary educators of their children. Additionally, this activity succeeded in fostering a collective awareness of the importance of faith-based and ethical parenting in maintaining family harmony during the husbands’ absence.

Abstract

The low level of financial management literacy among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) remains a key barrier to effective and sustainable business operations. This community service program aims to enhance the understanding and skills of MSME actors in basic financial recording, cash flow management, SWOT analysis, and financial decision-making. The methods applied include socialization, technical training, practical simulations, technical assistance, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ abilities to record daily transactions, prepare cash flow statements, calculate cost of goods sold, and assess their business position using SWOT analysis. Beyond knowledge enhancement, the program also generated positive behavioral changes and fostered the emergence of local leaders who initiated collaborative bookkeeping practices within the MSME community. This program proved effective in strengthening MSME financial capacity and promoting more accountable and sustainable business governance.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve students’ character and learning discipline through the development of self-management skills among students of SMP Swasta Amanah 1 Medan, in order to better prepare them to face future challenges. The main objective of this program is to equip students with the ability to manage their time, emotions, and learning discipline in ways that align with current developments and the demands of the workforce. This activity was motivated by students’ low understanding of the importance of self-management, as well as their limited knowledge of good and proper character and learning discipline. The program was carried out through a series of counseling sessions, training, and mentoring activities involving collaboration between teachers and the PKM team. Self-management is an important factor that must be considered and managed well, as it enables students to organize tasks, manage study time, and maximize productivity. Efforts to provide guidance on self-management to improve character and learning discipline—aimed at enhancing students’ academic achievement—were implemented through this community service program for students at SMP Swasta Amanah 1 Medan. The PKM activities began with observation, group discussions with the principal and the vice principal for curriculum affairs, and counseling sessions. During the question-and-answer session, students appeared enthusiastic to ask questions, and their success in attempting to improve their learning efforts was a key indicator of the program’s achievement.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted at RA Taqwa Liga Muslim Indonesia and aimed to implement the Emotion Puzzle as part of religious habituation to support children’s emotional development. The media was applied through play-based learning combined with guidance in religious values such as praying, apologizing, patience, and gratitude. The implementation methods included socialization, teacher assistance, classroom practice, and evaluation. The results showed that children were better able to identify basic emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, and fear, and began to demonstrate religious-based behavior during daily interactions. Teachers also gained new skills in integrating emotional learning with religious values. Therefore, the Emotion Puzzle can serve as an effective and simple learning tool to support emotional development through a religious approach.

Abstract

School environment health and hygiene are crucial aspects for instilling healthy living habits from an early age. However, studies indicate that the level of understanding among primary school students regarding sanitation and Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS), especially handwashing practice, remains low. This research aims to describe the impact of implementing sanitation socialization based on practical activities for students at SDN 1 Nagri Kidul Purwakarta. The activities were conducted using a structured, demonstrative, and participatory educational approach, supported by the provision of portable handwashing facilities by UPI P3K students. This method placed the demonstration of correct handwashing steps as the central focus of the activity. The results show that the practical-based approach significantly improved students' understanding and skills, proving more effective than the lecture method. Students who initially only rinsed their hands are now able to correctly practice the steps of washing hands with soap, and they realize the importance of proper sanitation facilities. Thus, this socialization activity successfully cultivated the habit of correct handwashing, enhanced students' sanitation knowledge, and instilled an understanding of the necessity of adequate facilities. The sustainability of these positive habits requires facility support, ongoing guidance, and commitment from the school.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted to strengthen the moral character and mental well-being of 8th-grade MTs students at Pondok Pesantren Misbahul Khair through a religious psychology approach. Adolescents at the madrasah level are in a dynamic developmental stage marked by identity formation, the need for moral guidance, and heightened sensitivity to emotional and social pressures. Within the pesantren environment, integrating religious education with psychological support is essential for cultivating stable character, virtuous behavior, and strong mental resilience. Based on these needs, this PKM program was designed to provide comprehensive guidance that addresses students’ spiritual, behavioral, and psychological dimensions.This program employed a descriptive qualitative method through field observations, informal interviews, counseling sessions, group discussions, and the reinforcement of religious practices. The training materials included Islamic moral values, religious strengthening through daily worship, emotional regulation based on Islamic psychological concepts, and the development of healthy social interactions in accordance with Islamic principles. Additional activities such as Qur’an reading habits, thematic studies, and the cultivation of etiquette toward teachers and peers also contributed to the program. The results indicate positive changes in students’ attitudes and behaviors. They demonstrated improved understanding of noble character, greater discipline in performing religious obligations, and better emotional control and expression. The religious psychology approach further helped students recognize their emotional states and relate them to relevant spiritual values, resulting in a balanced relationship between religious understanding and mental health. The pesantren administration responded positively, acknowledging the program’s significant contribution to character formation and students’ psychological development.
