Abstract

ABSTRAKArtikel ini memuat tentang karya musik ilustrasi yang berangkat dari prosesi  Ritual Pemujaan Dewi Saraswati  yang dilaksaanakan  di Bali pada setiap tahunnya yang dilakukan pada pagi hari. Pengkarya menghadirkan suasana sesuai alur cerita dari tahap persiapan hingga tahan prosesi ritual,. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mewujudkan komposisi musik ilustrasi dalam bentuk garapan multimedia dengan mengambil ide musical  dari mantra pemujaan terhadap Dewi Saraswati.  Metode pencitaan yang digunakan  dalam penggarapan karya ini adalah  metode penciptaan A.M. Hawkins yang terdiri atas tiga tahap yaitu ; (2) Tahap explorasi , (2) tahap eksperimen, (3) perwujudan.  Penggarapan komposisi musik  ilustrasi  ini menghasilkan komposisi musik multimedia yang berjudul “ Ilustrasi of Music “Ritual Pemujaan Saraswati dalam bentuk free formKata Kunci:Ritual Pemujaan Dewi Saraswati; Musik Ilustrasi; Musik MultimediaABSTRACTThis article contains an illustrated piece of music that departs from the procession of the Ritual Worship of Dewi Saraswati which is held in Bali every year which is done in the morning. The creators present the atmosphere according to the storyline from the preparation stage to the ritual procession. The purpose of writing this article is to create an illustrated musical composition in the form of a multimedia work by taking the musical idea from the mantra of worship of Dewi Saraswati. The creation method used in the creation of this work is A.M. Hawkins which consists of three stages namely; (2) Exploration stage, (2) experimental stage, (3) embodiment. The cultivation of this illustration music composition resulted in a multimedia music composition entitled "Illustration of Music" Saraswati Worship Ritual in free form Keywords: Goddess Saraswati Worship Rituals; Illustrated Music; Multimedia Music.

Abstract

Abstrak"Jalan Pintas" merupakan karya musik yang berangkat dari keluh kesah atau kegelisahan diri sendiri. Sebuah karya musik dengan bentuk song writing dimana terdapat sebuah pengolahan sampel suara (sound design) untuk menghasilkan sebuah materi suara (Sound Bank) yang diproduksi dengan teknik audio sampling dan foley. Sound Bank yang digunakan dalam produksi musik karya ini diproduksi menggunakan pendekatan teknik Audio Sampling dan Foley. Tujuannya untuk memperkuat lirik yang disertakan dengan video clip.Abstract"Shortcut" is a piece of music that departs from one's own worries or anxieties. A piece of music in the form of songwriting where there is sound sample processing (sound design) to produce sound material (Sound Bank) which is produced using audio sampling and foley techniques. The Sound Bank used in the music production of this work was produced using the Audio Sampling and Foley technique approach. The goal is to strengthen the lyrics included in the video clip.

Abstract

Propinsi Jambi merupakan salah satu bagian dari propinsi yang ada di Indonesia dan pernah diduduki oleh bangsa penjajah. Dampak penjajahan tersebut meninggalkan jejak-jejak yang masih tersisa hingga di Jambi, salah satu di antaranya bertemunya budaya musik yang berbeda. Musik yang berbeda itu menyatu dalam ruang baru, hingga memunculkan identitas yang baru pula akibat bertemunya dua unsur kebudayaan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kebudayaan musik Jambi yang ada saat ini dipengaruhi kolonial, hingga menemukan identitasnya sendiri. Metode yang digunakan untuk itu data kualitatif. Hasilnya musik jambi "krinok adalah hasil percampuran alat musik, namun musik dari aspek bunyi menjadi identitasnya.Kata Kunci: Musik ; Krinok; Viul, Kolonial.ABSTRACTJambi Province is a part of the province in Indonesia and was once occupied by the colonizers. The impact of this colonization left traces that still remained in Jambi, one of which was the meeting of different musical cultures. These different kinds of music unite in a new space, thus creating a new identity as a result of the meeting of two cultural elements. The purpose of this study is to analyze Jambi's musical culture which is currently influenced by colonialism so that it finds its own identity. The method used for that data is qualitative. The result is Jambi music "krinok" is the result of mixing musical instruments, but music from the sound aspect becomes its identity.Keywords: Music ; Krinok; Viul, Colonial.

Abstract

Komunitas WESSA (West Sumatera Sound Aesthetic) merupakan komunitas indepeden yang bergerak dibidang seni dan budaya. Nama komunitas West Sumatera Sound Aesthetic diambil dari bahasa inggris yang berarti “Estetika Bunyi Sumatera Barat”. Data yang diperoleh antara lain rekaman wawancara, foto, video pertunjukan dan dokumen pribadi Komunitas West Sumatera Sound Aesthetic. Analisis data yang digunakan melalui 3 cara yaitu: (1) pengumpulan data, (2) reduksi data, (3) dan pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan metode triangulasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diatas, disimpulkan bahwa eksistensi komunitas WESSA (West Sumatera Sound Aesthetic) dapat terbentuk dan masih terjaga sampai sekarang dikarenakan proses kreativitas dan inovasi yang dihadirkan komunitas WESSA untuk melestarikan dan mengembangakan musik di Sumatera Barat. Komunitas ini mampu memberikan social value (nilai sosial) dengan menciptakan wadah bagi seniman serta pertunjukannya dapat dinikmati oleh masyarakat.Kata Kunci : Eksistensi; Kreatifitas; Musik   ABSTRACT WESSA Community (West Sumatra Sound Aesthetic) is an indepedent community engaged with art and culture. The name of the West Sumatera Sound Aesthetic community it means the aesthetic of West Sumatera Sounds. The data obtained include recordings of interviews, photos, performances videos and personal documents of the West Sumatra Sound Aesthetic Community. Data analysis is used in 3 ways, namely: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) and validation of data using the triangulation method. Based on results of this research, it concluded that the existence of the WESSA (West Sumatra Sound Aesthetic) community can be formed and it’s still maintained until today due to the process of creativity and innovation presented by the WESSA community to preserve and develop music in West Sumatera. This community is able to provide social value by creating a space for artists and the performances that can be served and enjoyed by the publics.Keywords : Existence; Creativity; Music

Abstract

ABSTRAKPelatihan ensambel musik lagu Baju Kuruang merupakan suatu proses musikal untuk meninjau bakat musik siswa kelas X di SMA3 Padangpanjang  Sumatera Barat. Pengukuran kemampuan siswa yang dapat diartikan sebagai tahapan dalam melihat minat siswa atas pelajaran seni musik di sekolah. Untuk melihat bakat siswa tersebut pelatihan ensambel musik dari lagu yang berjudul lagu Baju Kuruang dijadikan sebagai salah satu media dalam melihat perkembangan bakat siswa di sekolah menengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian tindakan yaitu action research. Hasil dari pelatihan ensambel musik lagu Baju Kuruang yang dilakukan di SMA 3, ada beberapa siswa memiliki bakat dengan kemampuan yang baik dalam memainkan musik dan ada pula yang sedang. Kata Kunci: Bakat ; siswa ; ensambel ; musik ; baju kuruang.ABSTRACTThe training for the Baju Kuruang song music ensemble is a musical process to review the musical talents of class X students at SMA 3 Padang Panjang, West Sumatra. Measuring students' abilities can be interpreted as a stage in seeing students' interest in music and art lessons at school. To see the talent of these students, the music ensemble training of the song "Song of Baju Kuruang" was used as one of the media to see the development of students' talents in high schools. This study uses a qualitative research method with an action research approach, namely Action Research. As a result of the Baju Kuruang song music ensemble training conducted at SMA 3, some students had talent with good abilities in playing music and some were moderate.Keywords: Talent ; student ; ensemble ; music ; fewer clothes.

Abstract

Application of vocal techniques to the singing of SMKN 1 Padangpanjang students. This training is specifically for choir groups at the school. The song chosen for this was a song entitled Laruik Sanjo. The song created by Januar Arifin was then popularized by the Gumarang orchestra. For the needs of students or student choir groups at SMKN 1 Padang Panjang, the song was rearranged. This song is arranged into three types of voices, Soprano, Alto, and Tenor. Then the abilities of students who are members of a choir group of ten people will be seen. To what extent are they able to apply good vocal techniques when singing? This research is qualitative research and is descriptive in nature. This research also applies supporting methods such as lecture method, demonstration method, training, and evaluation method.

Abstract

The composition of this music departs from the art of the tradition of Arakan Sahur. Tradition originating from the Kuala Tungkal area, Tungkal Ilir District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, Jambi Province. Arakan Sahur is a tradition of waking people from sleeping in the month of Ramadan. This tradition is carried out when people eat at dawn. The composition of the Sahur Sahur Music is the music that is worked on in the form of music theme variations with the format of the chamber orchestra instrument. The goal is to get to get a dawn atmosphere with a different taste. The cultivation of the composition of the Sahur Sahur uses the technique of developing the main theme of the composition of the motifs, rhythm, and melody. Repetition of the main theme uses eight variations without eliminating the pattern of dawn.

Abstract

Arranging popular music has several tips in its realization process, including the application of substitution chord, inversion chord and suspension tone. The are similarities in several techniques used in arranging if we dissect them based on the process of creating a new work, only in arranging, the arranger immediately focuses his imagination on the basic elements of music that already exist for further modification. Meanwhile, the difference in creating new work is actualize first some of the basic elements of the music wich are then developed. Scary Pocket is a music group that is intense in arranging music by applying methods of modifying the structure and harmony of songs so that it has an impact on the creation of their version of a new musical style. Through this simple article, it is hope that it can become a reference for art activist and arranger in determining the tips that will be used in arranging the piece of music.Keywords: substitution chord, inversion chord, easy on me, scary pocket

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to examine musical performances in the orchestral format in Indonesia, which were previously considered high culture, but currently, orchestral performances are of great interest to the public in different ways. This can be seen from the many requests from the Indonesian people to perform modern orchestral performances at various large and prestigious events. Modern orchestral performances generally occur within the context of the performing arts industry. Because in the context of the Indonesian orchestra management industry, it cannot be separated from managing adequate and solid performance production through good management. Managing Indonesian orchestra performances today requires the application of effective management principles. This research uses a management analysis framework in the management of orchestra performances by Harold Koontz and Cyril O'Donnell in their book Principles of Management: An Analysis of Management Functions by taking a performing arts management approach.

Abstract

The song Ayah was created by Rinto Harahap. This song originates from the motivation of a child who is far from his father figure to seek knowledge and a future. This song was re-arranged by Albiner Purba, S.Sn for final work research in the form of a mixed ensemble which will be applied to students at SMKN 1 Padang Panjang. This ensemble uses musical instruments including Keyboard, Cajon, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Pianica, Flute, and Vocals. There are 8 players in this musical ensemble, consisting of 5 men and 3 women. This research is qualitative and descriptive in nature, with an action research design approach and applying supporting methods: lectures, demonstrations, exercises, experiments, and evaluations. This research also uses data analysis techniques: searching and compiling data, organizing data, selecting data, and analyzing data. The results of this research show students' progress and knowledge in ensemble playing: they can regulate dynamics, tempo, discipline in playing, and play song material using instruments well and correctly. Apart from that, this research succeeded in realizing the achievements of the SMKN 1 Padangpanjang school curriculum, namely implementing sustainable practice habits and producing main ideas which were then directed to the presentation of musical works.
