Abstract

Amidst the euphoria of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0, data has emerged as "the new oil," fueling global economies while simultaneously triggering a fundamental ethical crisis. This study dissects the paradox of business ethics in Indonesia, where predictive algorithms often sacrifice human privacy for profit through the phenomenon of "surveillance capitalism". Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method with a juridical-normative approach, this research evaluates whether digital sovereignty has truly been achieved following the full implementation of Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection (PDP Law) on October 17, 2024. The analysis reveals a stark contrast: despite the legal framework, Indonesia's digital ecosystem in 2025 is still haunted by the absence of a functional independent supervisory body and persistent cybersecurity vulnerabilities, evidenced by the breach of 4.6 million citizens' data in West Java. Beyond mere legal compliance, this research proposes the Ethical Digital Entrepreneurship Model (EDEM) as a pragmatic framework to integrate values of honesty (shidq) and trust (amanah) into technological architecture. By repositioning data protection as a new form of Digital Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), this article asserts that the future of digital business lies not just in algorithmic sophistication, but in moral integrity capable of reclaiming consumer trust.

Abstract

Based on empirical results from various studies, this study is a systematic literature review aimed at analyzing the relationship between work attitudes and job satisfaction and employee performance. Work morale and job satisfaction are considered two important components of organizational behavior that can influence performance. However, the strength and mode of their influence can vary depending on the situation. The results indicate that a positive work attitude typically results in more responsible, collaborative, and quality-oriented work behavior. Furthermore, sustained job satisfaction improves performance by increasing employee motivation, commitment, and sense of organizational attachment. However, numerous supporting and inhibiting factors influence the influence of these two variables, which are contextual in nature. Good work discipline, good leadership, motivation, organizational justice, a conducive work environment, and competence can enhance the relationship between work attitudes and job satisfaction on performance. Conversely, excessive workload, work pressure, an unsupportive work environment, and task ambiguity can weaken the relationship. Overall, this study found that work attitudes and job satisfaction play a significant role in improving employee performance; however, the results are highly dependent on organizational conditions and other supporting factors in the workplace.

Abstract

Divorce permit services for civil servants (ASN) are part of personnel administration services that are highly sensitive because they relate to personal matters, ethics, and civil service discipline. Therefore, the quality of divorce permit services is an important aspect in maintaining bureaucratic professionalism and civil servants' trust in government institutions. This study aims to analyze the quality of divorce permit services for ASN at the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) of East Java Province using Kotler and Keller's service quality theory, which includes the dimensions of physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the quality of divorce permit services for ASN at the BKD of East Java Province is generally in the good category. The dimensions of assurance and empathy are the most prominent aspects, as demonstrated by the professional attitude of officers, consistency of information, protection of privacy, and personal attention to ASN as service users. However, the physical evidence and reliability dimensions still need improvement, particularly in relation to service facility limitations and the timeliness of administrative processes. This study recommends improving service infrastructure, optimizing information delivery, and strengthening internal coordination to continuously improve the quality of civil servant divorce permit services.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the internal management system of Cahaya Lestari Sukses Company in order to improve administrative efficiency by implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) based on Total Quality Management (TQM). The main issues found were lack of order in recording purchases, sales, project cost control, and poor documentation in the human resources process, which led to financial reporting errors and operational data inconsistencies. The research used a qualitative method through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's operational conditions. The results showed that applying SOP in eight key areas—purchase of raw materials, sales and project contracts, finance and accounting, project cost control, internal service and communication, recruitment and selection, occupational health and safety (K3), and payroll—successfully improved administrative order, clarity in workflow, accuracy in record-keeping, effectiveness in internal communication, and cost control. The SOP training provided also strengthened the consistency of procedure implementation and improved employees' understanding of their respective tasks. The study concludes that integrating SOP based on TQM can significantly improve business processes and provide a more measurable operational foundation for construction companies. It is recommended that the company conduct regular SOP evaluations and ensure routine training to maintain the continuity of operational quality.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship in the Islamic perspective is an integral part of an economic system Basid on the values of tawhid, justice, and balance between material and spiritual interests. The history of Islamic entrepreneurship shows the continuous development of the Muslim economic sphere from the prophetic era to the modern age. During the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), entrepreneurial practices served as both a means of da’wah and an instrument for shaping business ethics that emphasized trustworthiness, honesty, and fairness in transactions. These values were later developed systematically during the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs (Khulafaur Rasyidin) through the establishment of economic institutions such as the baitul mal and zakat policies that aimed at equitable distribution of welfare. Subsequently, during the Umayyad and Abbasid dynasties, Islamic entrepreneurship reached its peak, marked by the emergence of international trade centers, innovations in monetary systems, and the growth of transcontinental trading networks that positioned the Islamic world as a global economic hub.

Abstract

This study analyzes investment trends and Indonesia's economic potential in the context of dynamic global developments, marked by geopolitical conflicts, disruptive technological innovations, and energy conservation. The national methodological approach applied includes literature review and qualitative descriptive analysis based on secondary data from domestic and international institutions. The findings show that Indonesia has strong economic resilience, but faces major obstacles in attracting quality investment. Indonesia's investment orientation focuses on export-oriented manufacturing industries, further processing of natural resources, and the digital economy. The potential for Indonesia's future economic reform is highly dependent on successful structural implementation, human resource development, and energy conservation. Key recommendations include strengthening the regulatory framework that supports investment and diversifying trading partners to reduce global risks.

Abstract

Makan bajamba is a traditional Minangkabau communal dining practice that embodies deep social, symbolic, and psychological meanings. Beyond fulfilling biological needs, this tradition functions as a cultural mechanism for strengthening social cohesion, collective identity, and a sense of belonging within indigenous communities. This study aims to explore the practice of makan bajamba and its contribution to fostering social cohesion and sense of belonging among the people of Nagari Kamang Mudiak, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through participant observation during a baralek gadang (traditional wedding ceremony) and in-depth interviews with bundo kanduang and juwaro who play key roles in the ritual. The findings reveal that makan bajamba is a highly structured customary ritual that reflects values of equality, togetherness, and respect for Minangkabau social structure. Seating arrangements, food presentation, and the shared practice of eating from a single tray serve as symbolic expressions that strengthen emotional bonds among community members. This collective experience enhances social cohesion and fulfills essential components of sense of belonging, particularly belongingness and valued involvement. Moreover, makan bajamba acts as a medium for intergenerational transmission of cultural values and identity amid the pressures of modernization. The study highlights the significance of local cultural practices in sustaining cultural identity while promoting psychosocial well-being within indigenous communities.

Abstract

The advancement of technology and the advent of digitalization have changed perspectives. Previously, women were labeled as solely responsible for the family's needs at home. However, now both men and women have equal roles in earning a living. Women's dual roles have emerged as a smart strategy for improving family financial well-being. Furthermore, they are a way to realize family dreams that would otherwise be impossible if they relied solely on men or husbands. Increasing needs and uncontrolled prices have pushed a number of women in Kradenan Hamlet into jobs outside the home as housewives. This study employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to gain detailed insight into the experiences of the research subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of women who perform dual roles in Kradenan Hamlet. This study utilized data analysis by Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study examine the various meanings they share in strengthening the family economy, using Alfred Schutz's theory.
