Abstract

The management of regional assets plays a strategic role in increasing Local Own-Source Revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah/PAD) and strengthening regional fiscal independence. This study aims to analyze the utilization of regional assets as an instrument for increasing PAD in North Toraja Regency, identify constraints in asset management, and formulate effective asset optimization strategies. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive and inductive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving informants from local government officials, members of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), and communities directly affected by regional asset utilization. The results indicate that most regional assets in North Toraja Regency have not been optimally utilized due to weak asset inventory systems, limited human resources, unclear legal status of assets, and insufficient coordination among regional government agencies. Nevertheless, several strategies—such as asset re-inventory, digitalization of asset management, cooperation with third parties, and the involvement of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes)—have proven to positively contribute to the increase in PAD. Asset optimization also generates broader impacts, including the stimulation of local economic activities, job creation, and improvements in transparent and accountable asset governance. This study concludes that optimizing regional assets requires an integrated strategic approach supported by clear regulations, the use of information technology, capacity building of human resources, and collaboration with the private sector and BUMDes. Through these strategies, regional assets can become sustainable sources of revenue while supporting regional economic development in North Toraja Regency.

Abstract

The phenomenon of sound horeg as a form of modern entertainment has grown rapidly in Sidoarjo Regency and is commonly used in community events such as celebrations and carnivals. However, its operation often faces public rejection due to noise disturbance, environmental discomfort, and social conflict. On the other hand, for audio sound system owners, sound horeg serves as a source of income, a medium for creative expression, and a form of social identity. This study aims to examine the perspectives of audio sound system owners toward community rejection of sound horeg operations and to analyze the adaptive strategies they employ in response to such rejection. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method and is analyzed through George Herbert Mead’s symbolic interactionism theory. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving audio sound system owners operating in Sidoarjo Regency. The findings show that audio sound system owners perceive sound horeg not merely as entertainment, but also as a symbol of business existence and economic opportunity. Community rejection is understood as the result of differing perspectives and interests between business actors and local residents. To address this rejection, sound system owners implement adaptive strategies such as adjusting sound volume, limiting operational hours, and engaging in communication and negotiation with the surrounding community. This study highlights that conflicts related to sound horeg are social issues involving interaction, communication, and the negotiation of meanings within public spaces.

Abstract

The expanding circulation of narcotics in North Labuhanbatu Regency, reaching rural areas and involving various age groups, reflects alarming social conditions and weak state oversight, contradicting the state’s duty to protect the public under Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics. This study aims to analyze the role of the North Labuhanbatu Regency National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) in preventing narcotics distribution and to identify the obstacles faced in its implementation. Using an empirical juridical method through literature review and field interviews, the study finds that widespread narcotics circulation is driven by easy access through organized networks, weak supervision in remote areas, limited public education, and challenging geographic conditions, all contributing to rising crime rates and social deterioration. The novelty of this research lies in emphasizing the need for comprehensive interventions that position BNNK not only as an enforcement body but also as a community-centered prevention coordinator. The study concludes that although BNNK has conducted outreach, rehabilitation, and enforcement operations, effectiveness remains hindered by limited human resources, budget constraints, insufficient facilities, and low community participation. It is recommended to strengthen institutional capacity, improve cross-sector collaboration, and encourage sustained community involvement to build resilience against narcotics circulation.

Abstract

This article analyzes the role of higher education institutions and community partnerships in strengthening entrepreneurship and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs contribute significantly to local economies but face challenges such as limited innovation, low digital skills, and weak management. Universities support MSMEs through entrepreneurship education, research, incubation programs, and community service. Meanwhile, community partnerships involving cooperatives, government, and local groups help build a collaborative ecosystem that encourages capacity development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study finds that strong collaboration improves MSME competitiveness and stimulates local innovation. However, issues of coordination, funding, and technological access require integrated and continuous support.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the transformation of Islamic monetary policy in responding to global financial challenges and the acceleration of digitalization within the modern national sharia economy. Changes in the global economic landscape, instability in the international financial system, and rapid technological advancement require adaptive and sustainable Islamic monetary policy innovations. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review of scientific journals, regulations, and official reports from national and international Islamic financial institutions. The findings indicate that Islamic monetary policy in Indonesia has undergone significant transformation through the strengthening of sharia-based monetary instruments, optimization of the role of Islamic banking, and the integration of digital technology into the Islamic financial system. The digitalization of the sharia economy plays a crucial role in improving the efficiency of monetary policy transmission, enhancing financial inclusion, and maintaining national financial system stability. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including regulatory harmonization, digital infrastructure readiness, and public literacy in Islamic finance. This research concludes that the transformation of Islamic monetary policy based on sharia principles and digital innovation is a strategic approach to safeguarding economic stability, enhancing competitiveness, and supporting inclusive and sustainable national economic growth.

Abstract

This study explores the methodological framework of Islamic psychology, which integrates scientific approaches with Islamic values as its epistemological foundation. The employed methods extend beyond empirical and rational inquiry by incorporating faith-based approaches grounded in the Qur’an and Hadith, as well as intuitive and spiritual dimensions that are distinctively Islamic. The study examines several methodological orientations—namely scripturalist, philosophical, and Sufi approaches—in an effort to construct a holistic and authentic paradigm of psychology. The purpose of this research is to develop a methodological framework for Islamic psychology that is both epistemologically valid and practically applicable, accommodating both spiritual and scientific dimensions while offering psychological solutions consistent with Islamic principles. This research adopts an extensive literature review of both classical and contemporary sources on Islamic psychology. The findings reveal that the methodological framework of Islamic psychology has the potential to enrich the broader field of psychology through a comprehensive, integrative, and contextually responsive approach that addresses the psychological needs of the Muslim community.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media has transformed the communication patterns of Generation Z and given rise to various forms of verbal interaction in digital spaces, including verbal aggression. This study aims to examine the relationship between social media use and verbal aggression among Generation Z in Bekasi City. A quantitative method with a correlational design was employed. The research sample consisted of 115 Generation Z respondents who were active social media users, selected using accidental sampling techniques. The research instruments included a social media use scale and a verbal aggression scale. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson’s Product Moment correlation after meeting the assumptions of normality and linearity. The results indicated that there was no significant relationship between social media use and verbal aggression (r = -0.157; p = 0.095; p 0.05). Most respondents were categorized as having high levels of social media use and moderate levels of verbal aggression. These findings suggest that high intensity of social media use is not directly associated with increased verbal aggression among Generation Z. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis was rejected and the null hypothesis was accepted. This study indicates that other factors, such as digital literacy, emotional regulation, and the quality of social interactions, may play a more significant role in influencing verbal aggression than the intensity of social media use alone.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the application of the sorogan method in the Qur'an learning process at the Al-Irfan Islamic Boarding School in Bukittinggi. As a traditional method that has long been a hallmark of Islamic boarding schools, sorogan is still practiced because it is considered capable of improving pronunciation accuracy, understanding tajwid, and building closeness between teachers and students. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document review. While data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The research findings indicate that sorogan functions as an important mechanism in fostering students' personal reading skills, strengthening character formation, and creating a more humanistic learning atmosphere. Regular implementation, group division according to ability level, and individual reading evaluations contribute to improving student competency. However, the study also identified several obstacles, particularly related to the motivation and discipline of some students. Overall, the research results confirm that sorogan remains relevant in contemporary Islamic boarding school education and has the potential to be improved through strengthening motivation, more effective classroom management, and more targeted mentoring.
