Abstract

Development of problem-based learning colloid practicum modules for SMA. Essay. Chemical Education Study Program. Department of Chemistry. Faculty of Math and Science. Makassar State University (supervised by Netti Herawati and Muhammad Jasri Djangi). This research is a development research that aims to produce a problem-based learning practicum module on colloid material that is valid, effective and practical. The subjects of this study were the XI IPA class of SMA Aksara Bajeng with a total of 31 people. The development of a problem-based learning practicum module uses the Plomp development model, consisting of five phases, namely the initial investigation phase, design, realization / construction, evaluation and revision tests, and the implementation phase. The instruments used in this study consisted of validation instruments, student activity observation sheets, practicum module assessment sheets, student response questionnaires and practicum implementation sheets. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The practicum module is declared valid with an average validity value of 3.64, (2) the practicum module is declared effective based on the percentage of participant activity of 96% and the average value of the practicum module is 92.93 with effective category (3) The module is said to be practical based on the results of the student response questionnaire by 71% in the very practical category and 29% in the practical category, and the results of the teacher response questionnaire are 92.5%.

Abstract

Model discovery learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga motivasi belajar peserta didik juga akan meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada materi pokok larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Desain penelitian adalah Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasinya peserta didik kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Makassar dan terpilih kelas X MIPA 7 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol melalui random sampling. Data diperoleh dengan pemberian angket motivasi belajar dimana data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif motivasi belajar menunjukkan hasil yang lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial untuk motivasi belajar menggunakan uji parametric uji-t yang menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian diterima, artinya model discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Makassar Pada Materi Pokok Larutan Elektrolit Dan Non Elektrolit. ABSTRACT Discovery learning model is the learning model that will increase the activity all of the students in the learning process so the learning motivation of the students will also increase. This research is a quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on the motivation of the students as subject matter of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. The research design used is Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population is all of the students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Makassar. Sampling was done by random sampling, where class X MIPA 7 was the experimental class and class X MIPA 4 was the control class. The data were obtained by giving a learning motivation questionnaire of the students in the experimental class and the control class. The results of descriptive analysis of the learning motivation of the students in the experimental class is higher. Inferential statistical analysis results for the learning motivation data using a parametric test namely the t-test and the hypothesis research is accepted. That is meaning the discovery learning model has an effect on the students learning motivation. It can be concluded that the discovery learning model has an effect on the motivation of the students in class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Makassar On the Material of Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solutions.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research (CAR). The aimed was to find systematic steps of TGT learning model to increase the activity of student in X3 grade of senior high school 5 Tanralili Maros. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that the steps in each stage of the learning model that can improve student learning activities were: (1) The class presenting stage conducted by explained the objective learning and associated the learning topics that have been studied previously by orally to students, (2) the group discussion stage conducted by divided students into the learning heterogeneous groups, instructed students to master the topic at home, instructed students to bring reading topics that related to the subject of discussion and explained to students the meaning of teamwork, (3) the group presentation stage conducted by provided students to convey the results of the discussion and instructed students to make a questions before presentation time began, (4) the game stage conducted by instructed students to solve the problems independently and to uphold the values of honesty, (5) the tournament stage conducted by provided students to represent their group at the tournament table with same scores game, (6) the awards stage conducted by giving the prizes to the best groups and provided motivation to the group not as a winner in order to try harder, (7) the conclusions stage done by students and teacher together, which the students concluded the topic must be based on learning objectives. By implementing these stages, the students learning activities increased by 32.50 %.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh simulasi Physics Education Technology dalam model guided inquiry terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar pada materi pokok asam basa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar yang terdiri dari 6 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling sehingga sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA5 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah peserta didik berturut-turut 33 orang dan 32 orang. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah simulasi Physics Education Technology dalam model guided inquiry dan variabel terikatnya yaitu hasil belajar. Data hasil belajar yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan nilai N-Gain peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut yaitu 0,616 dan 0,540. Hasil analisis inferensial menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney diperoleh Zhitung = 2,21 dan pada taraf signifikan (α) = 0.05 diperoleh Ztabel = 1.64. Oleh karena itu, Zhitung > Ztabel, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan simulasi Physics Education Technology dalam model guided inquiry terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar pada materi pokok asam basa. ABSTRACT This study was a Quasi experimental research which aimed to find out the effect of Physics Education Technology simulation on guided inquiry model towards to Students’ Achievement of XI MIPA of SMAN 8 Makassar on acid and base subject matter. The research design that used was a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was all XI grade students of SMAN 8 Makassar that spread into six classes. A simple random technique was used and was obtained XI MIPA6 as experimental class and XI MIPA5 as control class with number of students was 33 and 32 people respectively. The independent variable of this study is Physics Education Technology simulation on guided inquiry model and the dependent variable is students’ achievement. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive analysis showed that the average of the N-gain of experimental and control class was 0,616 and 0,540 respectively. The inferential analysis by using Mann-Whitney test was obtained Zcount = 2,21 and on significant degree (α) = 0,05, was obtained Ztable = 1,64. Therefore, Zcount > Ztable, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It showed that there was a significant effect of Physics Education Technology simulation on guided inquiry model towards to XI grade students’ achievement of SMAN 8 Makassar on acid and base subject matter.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research which aims to know the difference of learning outcomes between the students that learned by using cooperative learning model with type of NHT and the students that learned by using cooperative learning model with type of STAD. The research design was “Posttest-Only Design”. The independent variables of this research are cooperative learning model with type of NHT and cooperative learning model with type of STAD, and the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The population of this research is all first grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Segeri that consist of seven classes with the number 210 students, whereas the research samples are class XH as the first experiment class and class XB as the second experiment class. Each class consists of 30 students. Data of learning outcomes is performed by givingposttest. Data that with multiple choice as much 20 items is analyzed by using descriptive statistics and inferential. The result of analysis shows that the average value of learning outcomes of the first experiment class in the posttest is 77. 16 and the second experiment class is 70.66. The result of hypothesis testing using t-testing isobtained the value as t count = 3.3859 and in the significant level of α = 0.05 with dk = 58 obtained value as t table = 1. 672. Therefore, t count>t table , so that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. It means that the learning outcomes of students that learned by using learning cooperative model with type of NHT is better than the students that learned by using learning cooperative model with type of STAD in the fisrt grade class of SMA Negeri 1 Segeri in the main subject of chemical bond.

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental), which is aims to determine the effect of Uno card media in the cooperative learning model type STAD toward the student’s achievement of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Polewali Mandar. The study design used is " pretest posttest-only control group design". These study population were all the students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Polewali Mandar which is consists of five classes. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling so that the sample are a class XI MIPA 5 as an experimental class and class XI MIPA 3 as control class with the number of students each 26 peoples. The independent variable in this study is the Uno card media in cooperative learning model STAD and the dependent variable is the student’s achievement. Achievement’s data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The analysis showed the average value of student’s achievement on the experimental class at pretest and posttest respectively, are 45.38 and 92.04 with an average of N-Gain 0.860 and the control classes, namely 25.50 and 82.00 with an average of N-Gain 0.774.The results of the hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test values obtained Zhitung = 2.059 and the significance level of α = 0.05 was obtained Ztabel = 1.64. Therefore, Zhitung>Ztabel, so H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. It shows that there are effect of Uno card media in the cooperative learning model type STAD toward student’s achievement of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Polewali Mandar on the subject matter of hydrocarbons.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental which aims to know the effect of using animation as the media in Quantum Teaching model to student’s learning achievement of Class X Mia 2 at SMA Negeri 22 Makassar. The research design used post-test, that is only control group design.The population of this research are students from Class X Mia 2 of SMA Negeri 22 Makassar which consists of four classes with 134 students. This research used cluster random sampling. The samples are from Class X Mia 2 which consists of 35 students classified as the experimental group and Class X Mia 1 which consists of 31 students classified as the control group. In experimental group, the students were taught by using animation as the media in Quantum Teaching,while control group were taught through Quantum Teaching without animation as the used media.This research used Quantum Teaching and animation media as the independent variables, while students’ learning achievement on main material of chemical bonds as the dependent variable. The data collection were obtained by giving post-test to measure students’ learning achievement on the main material of chemical bonds.The result of prerequisite test showed homogenous variants which were not distributed normally. Hypothesis were tested by Man Whitney test as explained: α = 0,05 were obtained from Zhitung= 3,76 > Ztabel = 1,65. To summarize from this research, there is an effect of using animation as the media in Quantum Teaching on students’ learning achievement of Class X Mia 2 at SMAN 22 Makassar (as applied in main material of chemical bonds).

Abstract

The research is a quasi-experimental that aimed to know the effect of discovery learning model by scientific approach toward student’s achievement in class X MS SMA Negeri 12 Bulukumba. The independent variable in this experiment was discovery learning model by scientific approach and the dependent variable was student’s achievement on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution subject matter. The population was class X MS SMA Negeri 12 Bulukumba that consisted of 140 students. Taking technique of sample was random sampling. The sample of this research consisted of two classes, namely class X MS2 as an experiment class with 26 students and class X MS3 as a control class with 25 students. The data of this research were gathered by testing the student’s achievement on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution subject matter. Data analysis technique was done by descriptive and inferential analysis. The hypothesis test by t-test was gathered tcalculated =2.68 more bigger than t(0.05;49)=2.00. Conclude that discovery learning model by scientific approach gives effected toward student’s achievement of class X MS SMA Negeri 12 Bulukumba on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution as subject matter.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains pada aspek keterampilan dasar siswa pada materi larutan asam dan basa melalui metode praktikum. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, menggunakan instrument berupa lembar observasi aspek psikomotorik, angket, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMAN 11 Makassar dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 36 orang. Berdasarkan analisis data, keterampilan proses sains pada aspek keterampilan dasar siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik, yaitu pada keterampilan mengamati 91.83%, mengklasifikasikan 98.5%, mengukur 88%, mengkomunikasikan 92.33%. Siswa berada pada kategori baik, yaitu pada keterampilan menyimpulkan 72%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas XI IPA 3 sman 11 Makassar melalui metode praktikum pada materi larutan asam dan basa sudah sangat baik.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran diperlukan agar peserta didik terlibat aktif dalam mengeksplorasi dan menerapkan konsep materi dengan baik. Penerapan model pembelajaran yang tepat akan menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur dengan mengangkat tema kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam pembelajaran kimia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji berbagai jenis model pembelajaran yang bisa menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Semua artikel yang memiliki tema yang relevan kemudian dikumpulkan, lalu dipilah sesuai kriteria yang ditetapkan. Artikel-artikel yang terpilih disebut sebagai data pada penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran yang menekankan pada keaktifan peserta didik dapat membantu peserta didik untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran kimia.
