Abstract

Building materials through the production process are materials that produce carbon emissions that can cause global warming and have a very wide impact to affect life on Earth. Regulations on greenhouse gas control towards low-carbon development were created in order to more accurately measure greenhouse gas emissions. The development of information technology that occurs in the current era allows information technology users to complete information technology-related tasks more easily. Manual calculation of carbon emissions takes more time. The more building materials are used, the more calculations are made, so the human error rate is very high. This study aims to design a system of calculation of carbon emissions of building materials. System design is designed using Unified Modeling Language method to describe the interaction of actors with the system consisting of Use Case diagrams, Activity diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams and Entity Relationship diagrams. There are two actors in the design of this system, namely admin and user who perform different functions to the system. The design of carbon emission calculation system of building materials produced is designed using modeling: Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, Data Flow Diagram (DFD). the Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). There are two actors in the design of this system, namely admin and user who perform different functions to the system. Abstract

Central Kalimantan has an area with a beautiful distribution of watersheds and abundant river products. Palangka Raya City is one of the watersheds included in it. Palangka Raya City has two rivers as estuaries for primary drainage channels, namely the Kahayan River and the Sebangau River. The Kahayan River is the final estuary of the primary drainage channels in the city of Palangka Raya, one of which is the IV primary drainage channel. This IV primary drainage channel is one of the primary drainage channels which contaminates the Kahayan River, which is its estuary. Contamination of contaminants from the primary drainage channel comes from domestic waste from residential communities living in the area. It is estimated that these pollutant materials will contaminate the water of the Kahayan River; thus, the need for research. In this study, the flow velocity and water level at a certain channel cross section were measured, then the water discharge was calculated, and several water samples taken from the middle of the IV primary drainage channel were tested for several parameters, namely BOD, COD, TSS, Ammonia, Oil-fat and Detergent. The results of the study showed that several test parameters had passed the predetermined class quality standard thresholds including BOD, Ammonia and Detergent so that they contributed to contaminating the Kahayan River. There are several parameters with a significant correlation between fluctuations in the water level and the value of the water discharge as indicated by the R-Square value > 0.67

Abstract

Poverty is one of the fundamental problems in which individuals or groups lack the ability to meet their basic needs. One of the physical characteristics of the poor is inadequate access to facilities and infrastructure. Inadequate housing is a consequence of poverty, characterized by homes that do not meet safety standards in terms of structural and non-structural components, health aspects, and space adequacy.To improve the welfare of the impoverished, the government has implemented a program to construct decent housing or enhance the quality of uninhabitable houses to make them suitable for living. The 2022 BSPS program aims to enhance the welfare of low-income communities. This article seeks to identify the factors contributing to uninhabitable houses, the role of community self-help, and the necessary materials to improve the quality of such houses.The methodology employed involves surveys, observations, and interviews with prospective beneficiaries. The results indicate that out of 115 respondents, 112 housing units were categorized as uninhabitable, with damages exceeding 60%. The primary causes of uninhabitable houses are the absence of safety components, particularly structural elements, while the remaining damages are attributed to non-structural components. Community self-help initiatives prove sufficient to support assistance in improving uninhabitable houses.The 2022 BSPS program allocates IDR 1,960,000,000 for material needs, with a priority on enhancing the structural components.

Abstract

Crossroads are nodes in the road network where road segments meet and vehicle traffic trajectories intersect. At the intersection of Jl. Rajawali  – Jl. Hiu Putih, traffic flow during peak hours will increase so it needs to be handled. The purpose of this study was to determine the traffic volume at the signalized intersection at Jl. Rajawali  – Jl. Hiu Putih which will later be useful as information needed for the planning, design, management and operation phases of the road. The research method used is a direct survey in the field to obtain primary data in the form of road geometry, environmental conditions, and traffic volume. Secondary data is in the form of a map of field conditions around the intersection, and population data. Data collection was carried out for one week from Monday 05 September 2022 to Sunday 11 September 2022. The data taken was in the form of road width and the amount of traffic flow at each intersection. The research results obtained are the highest traffic volume at the intersection of four Jl. Rajawali  – Jl. Hiu Putih is on Friday (north) approach of 256 lvu/hour, on Sunday (east) approach of 238 lvu/hour, on Monday (south) approach of 299 lvu/hour and on Thursday (west) approach of 142 lvu/hour. This data is used as an analysis to determine traffic volume. Data were analyzed using the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2014.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pattern of groundwater flow around drains on tropical peatlands and to determine the effect of groundwater around drains on tropical peatlands with agricultural land functions. The research data used is primary data, namely water level, distance of each well pipe, coordinate points. In carrying out the analysis process using surfer software.The results showed that the pattern of groundwater flow around the drainage canal on tropical peatlands is that it tends to flow from the land to the drainage canal with the condition that the water level in the channel is lower than the groundwater level on the land.Besides that, from the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that the water level in the drain has an effect on the pattern of groundwater flow in tropical peatlands (agricultural land functions). The greater the difference in the height of the water level in the drainage canal (low water level condition), with the ground water level in the field (high water level condition), the pattern of groundwater flow tends to move towards the canal. However, when the water level in the channel is almost the same as the groundwater level in the field, the pattern of groundwater flow will change.

Abstract

The increase in fuel prices in the City of Palangka Raya has affected the increase in the fares of public transportation in the City of Palangka Raya, one of which is public transport travel. This study aims to analyze Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) and public transportation fares traveling the City of Palangka Raya-Kasongan route. The research location is at CV. Putra Borneo Travel and CV. Munir Travel uses a sample vehicle, namely the Toyota Innova. Rates that apply in CV. Putra Borneo Travel and CV. Munir Travel for the City of Palangka Raya-Kasongan route is Rp 100,000,-. Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) and public transport travel fares were calculated using the 2002 Ministry of Transportation method. This research was conducted for 7 days in February 2023. The calculation results show that the highest total Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) is CV. Putra Borneo Travel is Rp 7544.77/kend-km and the lowest is Rp 6846.79/kend-km. The highest Total Vehicle Operating Cost (BOK) for CV. Munir Travel is Rp 7624.13/kend-km and the lowest is Rp 7225.30/kend-km. The fare for public transportation travel for the City of Palangka Raya-Kasongan route for CV. Putra Borneo Travel, the highest is Rp 104,333,- and the lowest is Rp 94,681,- while for CV. Munir Travel, the highest was Rp 105,431,- and the lowest was Rp 99,916,-. The recommendation is for travel service providers to evaluate travel rates.

Abstract

The need for pavement materials in Central Kalimantan is increasing along with the many developments in road infrastructure. Therefore, it is necessary to find natural resources around. Tumbang Liting Village, Katingan Hilir Sub-district, Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan Province has abundant natural resources in the form of stone and sand resulting from local mining waste and has not been utilised properly. Stone from Tumbang Liting Village has a grain size of 5-25 mm with a surface that tends not to be angular. The research was conducted to analyse the use of stone and sand from Tumbang Liting Village as aggregates in Hot Rolled Sheet Base (HRS-Base) mixes. It is expected that the stone and sand from Tumbang Liting Village can be a solution to the need for HRS-Base pavement materials in Central Kalimantan, especially in the surrounding areas. The research was conducted in the laboratory, examining the physical properties of the aggregate to Marshall testing. The calculation results of the Marshall test obtained Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) of 7.27%, Stability of 850.90 kg, Voids Between Aggregates (VMA) of 20.08%, Voids in the Mixture (VIM) of 4.28%, Voids Filled with Asphalt (VFA) of 78.90% and Marshall Quotient (MQ) of 265.00 kg/mm.

Abstract

The increasingly advanced development of the world of construction requires all parties involved in the project to complete construction projects effectively and efficiently. Prior to the existence of the building information modeling method, construction project planners used conventional methods with the help of AutoCAD software in planning project drawings, but this method was considered to be inefficient both in terms of time, quality and cost. One of the effective and efficient methods for planning is to use the Building Information Modeling method. The BIM method has advantages such as being able to save costs and time as well as costs because in the process this method allows planners to manage data with precision and detail in 3D modeling of buildings. This study aims to design a 3D structural model of the Poltekkes Building of Palangka Raya City, which is located on Jalan George Obos, Palangka Raya City. The data from this study are secondary data, namely detailed engineering design drawings. The results of the design of the structural model using the building information modeling method produce a structural model and detailed explanation in the form of a 3D model.

Abstract

Cost estimation is a very important component in a construction. Estimated construction costs can be calculated using various methods, one of which is using the unit price analysis method. The unit price analysis method for work has undergone an update in 2022 which updated the method in the previous year. Therefore this research was carried out to conduct a study by directly comparing the two cost estimation methods to find out the comparison and make a record of what is the difference in the unit price analysis. the 2016 and 2022. Data analysis techniques used in this research are: literature review and direct comparison of analysis codes, job names, descriptions of resources used, resource codes, units, and coefficients. From the results of the study and direct comparison, two general criteria were obtained, namely the criteria for change and constant. In the first general criteria, there are seven more specific change criteria, namely name or code changes, changes in the description of the resources used, changes in coefficients, changes in codes and units, transfers, additions and deletions. After recording, a total of 779 comparisons were found between the 2016 and 2022 unit price analysis cost estimation methods.

Abstract

In Indonesia, there is still extreme poverty caused by several factors, one of which is low-income among the population. The President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2019-2024 period, Mr. Joko Widodo, conveyed Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2022, stating that the Ministry of Public Works and Housing needs to support the acceleration of eradicating extreme poverty, one of which is by improving inadequate housing into habitable dwellings. The implementation of this activity refers to Circular Letter No. 3/SE/Dr/2021 on technical instructions for conducting self-help housing stimulus activities (BSPS). BSPS is a government aid program for low-income communities to encourage and enhance self-reliance in improving housing quality through conventional and ferrocement methods. The purpose of this research is to obtain a cost comparison of habitable dwellings using conventional and ferrocement methods for types 27, 36, and 39 houses. Descriptive analysis methods were employed to determine the budget design for habitable dwellings using conventional and ferrocement methods based on unit price work analysis. Data for this research was obtained from the implementation of BSPS in 2022. The results of the cost comparison analysis for habitable dwellings using conventional and ferrocement methods showed that the budget for a conventional type 27 house amounted to Rp. 345,549,510.48, while the ferrocement house required Rp. 242,127,415.19. For a conventional type 36 house, the budget needed was Rp. 390,354,427.82, while the ferrocement house required Rp. 274,401,749.21. Lastly, for a conventional type 39 house, the budget needed was Rp. 455,467,373.11, while the ferrocement house required Rp. 313,893,235.77.
