Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Berkarya, with registered number ISSN 2828 - 4011(Online) is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Pusat Studi Ekonomi, Publikasi Ilmiah dan Pengembangan SDM Azramedia Indonesia. It is in the national level that covers a lot of common problems or issues related to community services. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. ABDIMAS BERKARYA : Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat, contains various activities of the teaching staff to handling and managing the various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society. Implementation of service activities also involve the participation of the community and partners. Service activities are organized into an activity aimed at improving the welfare of society. Abstract

In the post Covid 19 pandemic New Normal era, the learning system in Indonesia has changed from a face-to-face classroom system to a hybrid learning system, which is a learning method that combines the concept of online learning with face-to-face learning or PTM. This is done in order to maintain the quality of education in schools in accordance with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution. One of the online learning methods that are widely used by schools is google classroom. Research on the use of Google classroom as an online learning media has been conducted with satisfactory results. The target audience in this service is teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Tomia, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. In the initial survey of the target audience, the team found that there were obstacles in the audience, namely the target audience had not mastered the use of Android / smartphone and laptop for online learning. So far, the target audience has only used online methods by using whatsapp groups to send materials and students collect assignments to school so that there is still contact between the target audience and students when collecting assignments. Based on these problems, the service team chose to provide training and assistance in online teaching using Google Classroom to overcome the problems of the target audience. The results obtained were very satisfying because they exceeded the achievement target of 99 percent from the initial target of 80 percent for mastering the use of Google classroom as an online learning media for teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Tomia, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

Abstract

Hypertension has become one of the causes of high mortality and illness and can cause complications such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure. The increase in hypertension in Indonesia, including Kapasa Village, is very worrying. Referring to the Government program, this CERDIK activity is considered necessary in order to prevent hypertension complications. The purpose of this research is to implement a community-based government program as an effort to detect and prevent hypertension disease. The method used, the implementation is divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the study showed that the respondents suffered from hypertension with a fairly high range and some respondents had experienced increased cholesterol and a lack of knowledge. This discussion suggests that hypertension is caused by negative behavioral triggers, such as the consumption of unhealthy foods and smoking and alcohol behaviors. The recommendations in this activity are to emphasize the community's compliance to carry out routine blood tests, light exercise in the morning, and the need to increase knowledge as a counter measuring tool for CERDIK to reduce the growth rate of hypertension cases in the community

Abstract

This community service is entitled Increasing Sales at Bae-Bae Rice Bowl Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. This community service activity is part of the learning process which aims to provide direct experience outside of the world of work. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the community service program at Bae Bae Rice Bowl, a Micro Small Medium Enterprise engaged in Food and Beverage in Kendari. This service program is focused on activating Tiktok social media accounts with promotional content to improve brand positioning, sales, and build reputation. The results of Community Service show that the service program at Bae Bae Rice Bowl has successfully reactivated the Tiktok account with an effective content strategy. The result is increased social media engagement and product sales, as well as improved brand positioning and consumer trust.

Abstract

The Sahid University Jakarta community service team partnered with the management of the Flamboyan Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) to hold banner design training using a cell phone with the Canva application. The aim of this community service is to provide knowledge and understanding about the importance of placing banners as promotional media, how to design banners and compose attractive and persuasive messages easily using a cell phone, so as to expand the culinary business market for women around this RPTRA. . This training activity was carried out in two stages, namely the first was providing material about the importance of making banners as a product promotion medium for women who operate micro-scale culinary businesses who live around the Flamboyan RPTRA. Second, practical assistance on how to design banners by the Fikom Usahid community service team, so that micro business women around the Flamboyan RPTRA, apart from understanding, can design banners and compose attractive messages, so that they can function as promotional media for their merchandise. After the evaluation was carried out, it could be stated that the training participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the training activities. Then, it can also be stated that the training in designing banners using cell phones was successful in increasing the knowledge and understanding of women who sell around the Flamboyan RPTRA. This is shown by the post test results being higher than the pretest results. Apart from that, at varying levels, training participants are able to design banners using cell phones, so that after the training the participants can design banners as promotional media for their merchandise, thereby increasing product sales.

Abstract

Pentingnya pencatatan keuangan dilakukan oleh Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah pada pengrajin Pandai Besi di Desa Palahidu Kecamatan Binongko bukan hanya untuk menjaga keberlangsungan usaha dalam jangka panjang tetapi juga dapat menarik investor dari luar. Tujuan dilakukannya Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada para pengrajin Pandai Besi di Desa Palahidu sehingga usaha akan lebih bisa berkembang. Pencatatan keuangan yang dilakukan oleh para pengrajin pandai besi di Desa Palahidu masih sangat terbatas dengan catatan kecil yang manual. Sebagai bagian dari UMKM di Kecamatan Biningko pengrajin pandai besi merupakan bagian penggerak ekonomi dan membantu dalam menyerap tenaga kerja. Pencatatan keuangan yang dilakukan dengan baik akan sangat membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan yang berkaitan dengan ekonom untuk pengembangan usaha. Pengetahuan yang memadai tentang pencatatan keuangan yang dimiliki oleh para pengrajin pandai besi sangat penting. Diantaranya adalah mendapatkan modal dari pihak lain, menjaga keberlangsungan usaha dan pencatatan keuangan yang memadai berkontribusi juga terhadap pengambilan keputusan.

Abstract

This community service aims to strengthen the capacity of digital promotion in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) groups in South Buton Regency through a qualitative approach. The method of this activity was carried out by organising a seminar attended by MSME players in the region. The seminar was designed to provide an in-depth understanding of digital promotion strategies and the effective use of digital technology to increase the competitiveness and market reach of MSMEs. The results of the activity showed that the active participation of participants in the seminar was able to increase their digital knowledge and skills, thus enabling the implementation of more effective promotional strategies In addition, the findings underscore the importance of ongoing support and intensive training to ensure the implementation and sustainability of digital promotion strategies among MSME actors. In conclusion, strengthening digital promotion capacity can be a key factor in driving local economic growth and competitiveness of MSMEs in South Buton District.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition in which blood vessels have high blood pressure (systolic blood pressure ?140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure ? 90 mmHg). This community service aims to invite the public to understand the emergency management of the elderly with hypertension. This community service was carried out on 30 hypertension patients. This activity includes; blood pressure checks and education on emergency management of the elderly with hypertension. The knowledge evaluation instrument used a hypertension knowledge questionnaire and blood pressure assessment using a sphygmomanometer. The provision of emergency education for the elderly with hypertension increased the knowledge score, the score before 42 and the score after 83 so that the post-test score increased by 98% from the pre-test score. The results of blood pressure examination for the elderly with a TD of > 140/90 mmHg were 21 people (70%) and the elderly with a TD of < 140/90 mmHg were 9 people (30%). Providing emergency education for the elderly with hypertension can increase the knowledge of the elderly related to hypertension so that the quality of life is maintained.

Abstract

Encouraging development and strengthening can be the right way to overcome generation Z unemployment, and at the same time be an important step in building a strong economy in the future. This service activity is in the form of training, which is packaged in an entrepreneurship seminar. This activity aims to provide insight and motivation for students with the hope of becoming successful young entrepreneurs and can open up job opportunities to reduce unemployment. This activity was carried out by MA Bahrul Ulum, Besuk District, Probolinggo Regency with class XII participants. The implementation method uses stages, namely the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages, focusing on the positive impact of participation in entrepreneurship seminar training. The results of this service, the school welcomed well and the participants participated in the activities very enthusiastically during the implementation with 90% of the participants attending and the participants gaining knowledge reached 70% of the participants' understanding, to become a young entrepreneur with more confidence. The implementation of this entrepreneurship seminar training activity has a positive impact on increasing the knowledge of participants to foster an entrepreneurial spirit in themselves by holding entrepreneurial principles that are creative, always innovating, taking risks and taking responsibility. It can be concluded that this seminar activity is the first step for students in doing entrepreneurship so that it can be developed in individual knowledge and skills that can be useful for society and to create job opportunities.

Abstract

The month of Ramadhan is expected to be the moment for Moslems to carry out religious and good deeds. In this holy month. In line with this momentum, in Ramadhan 2024, our team – the team of Community Service Program from Sahod University, together with other Community Service teams carried out a community service program in the form of an educational program about Family Communication at the Kelurahan Cililitan, East Jakarta. This program was to express our concern and care towards the community’s problems by distributing food and organizing educational program to prevent and suggesting solution to juvenile delinquincies. This program was held on April 3rd, 2024, at the auditorium of Ruang Publik Terpadu Ramah Anak (RPTRA) Cicilitan, East Jakarta. There were 60 participants, who consisted of cadre, yang terdiri dari kader, public figure and residents of the Cililitan village, East Jakarta. The activity started with a main material about “Building a Healthy Family: which were continued with distribution of food supplies. This program was warmly accepted by all participants and the Head of Village and RPTRA, and they addressed their hope that it could be an ongoing program.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide knowledge and develop abilities, as well as motivate high school students in terms of public speaking and self-imaging. This community service activity was carried out at Santa Maria High School Yogyakarta. The method of implementation is collecting initial data, analyzing problems, formulating solutions, and implementing training with a focus on improving the soft skills of the students. The results of this service, the school was very welcomed, and the students participated in the training and mentoring with great enthusiasm. As a result, the students consider that public speaking skills are important to master from an early age because these skills have many crucial benefits for their personal and professional development. Not only that but building their personal branding as early as high school is useful for positively establishing their own identity and reputation, as well as preparing them for a future in the competitive world of work. Having a good self-image can give students a leg up in securing scholarships, college places, or jobs.
