Abstract

Human resource development (HRD) is a key factor in improving the competitiveness of education, especially in the era of globalisation and the industrial revolution 4.0. This article aims to examine the role of improving HR competencies in influencing the performance of educators and education personnel at Mts Al-Washliyah Kolam. The research method used is descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that development programmes such as professional workshops and collaborative learning communities significantly improved the ability and professionalism of educators. This finding confirms the importance of competency development in creating an innovative and effective learning environment. This article is expected to serve as a reference for policy makers and education practitioners in designing more effective HR development programmes, as well as providing insights into the importance of synergy between education and training in improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

In the modern retail world, competition is getting tougher, and leveraging technology is key to enhancing competitiveness. One technology with great potential to optimize product and service promotions is the Internet of Things (IoT). Figo Mart, as one of the players in the retail industry, needs to utilize IoT to offer a more interactive and efficient shopping experience for its customers. This study aims to explore how IoT can be used to optimize product and service promotions at Figo Mart. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study at Figo Mart. The results of the study show that the implementation of IoT can improve the effectiveness of promotions, increase customer loyalty, and provide accurate data for consumer behavior analysis. IoT technologies such as smart sensors and mobile-based devices can be used to inform promotions in real time, offer product recommendations, and optimize customer service.

Abstract

Warming up is a routine that should be carried out before doing more intense activities. Warming up serves to prepare the body to be better able to perform activities with less risk of injury. This research was conducted to analyze the importance of warm-up activities in supporting the success of sports activities in elementary schools. This research is processed by the literature review method to analyze the importance of warming up activities in supporting children's success in sports in elementary schools. The results of the analysis show that this research has various aspects, namely: the benefits of warming up in sports activities in elementary schools, effective warm-up methods for children, and the suitability of warm-up methods for elementary school children.

Abstract

This research explores the application of an Open Systems Approach to improve the quality of learning in the digital era. The background of the research is based on the significant transformation in education due to the advancement of digital technology, which presents challenges in effective technology integration and equitable access. The research method used is library research, analysing literature related to the Open System Approach and learning quality in the digital era. The findings show three important aspects of implementing the Open Systems Approach: first, Collaborative Project-Based Learning (PBPK). Second, the flexibility of learning methods. Third, digital portfolio-based evaluation that facilitates documentation of work, encourages self-reflection, and enables more personalised feedback. The findings suggest that the Open Systems Approach, through the implementation of these strategies, can effectively improve the quality of learning in the digital era.

Abstract

In the era of globalisation and rapid technological development, education systems face complex challenges that require innovative approaches. This article examines the role of systems thinking in education, which enables learners to understand the relationship between components holistically. The research method used is library research, by collecting data from various written sources to build a strong theoretical foundation. The research findings have 3 main points: 1. As a solution to complex educational problems 2 as a means of improving the quality of learning and 3 developing students’ critical thinking skills. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyse the role and process of systems thinking in education, and provide practical recommendations for educators and policy makers to improve the quality of education through the application of this approach.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Satisfaction Level of Imatora Sport Massage Services for KONI East Java Athletes participating in the Aceh-North Sumatra PON 2024. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population consists of 30 East Java PON athletes undergoing centralized training (Puslatda) at KONI East Java in 2024. Data collection methods include (1) observation, (2) interviews, (3) documentation, and (4) questionnaires. The study uses descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques. The findings, as shown in Table 4.5 regarding satisfaction levels with sport massage services, indicate the following 1 respondent (3%) fell into the strongly disagree category 2 respondents (7%) fell into the disagree category, as they reported a lack of knowledge about sport massage and inconsistency in therapy methods 16 respondents (53%) fell into the agree category, and 11 respondents (37%) fell into the strongly agree category. These positive responses were attributed to the comfort experienced during the massage sessions, which left respondents feeling relaxed and reporting improvements in bodily functions after the therapy. In Table 4.5, satisfaction with service ethics was also evaluated 1 respondent (3%) fell into the strongly disagree category. 4 respondents (13%) fell into the disagree category, noting that masseurs/masseuses need better communication skills to ensure comfort 17 respondents (57%) fell into the agree category, and 8 respondents (27%) fell into the strongly agree category, citing adequate service ethics and satisfaction with the professionalism displayed by the masseurs/masseuses. Based on the data presented, the researcher concludes that the satisfaction level of Imatora’s sport massage services for KONI East Java athletes is very good.

Abstract

Conflicts within community organizations are common, particularly in multicultural environments. This article explores conflict management approaches rooted in Islamic values such as syura (consultation), ishlah (reconciliation), and afw (forgiveness) through a literature review. The findings reveal that Islamic principles are effective in resolving conflicts and fostering social harmony, supported by Islamic leadership characterized by shiddiq (integrity) and amanah (trustworthiness). While these approaches are highly relevant, challenges such as limited understanding and leadership capacity highlight the need for further strengthening and development.

Abstract

Indonesia is the world's largest archipelago with a diversity of cultures that enrich its national identity. Among these cultures, the Bugis culture of South Sulawesi stands out for its rich traditions and deep maritime heritage. One of the major practice in Bugis identity is massompek, a centuries-old migration practice that reflects the Bugis ethos of resilience, self-reliance, courage and the search for a better life. Massompek brought Bugis communities to form influential diaspora networks in Indonesia and internationally, particularly in Malaysia. These diaspora communities contribute greatly to the local economy and trade, building strong social networks and encouraging cultural exchanges that reinforce their collective identity. This article examines massompek as a dynamic force shaping the Bugis diaspora, focusing on its cultural, economic and social impact in Malaysia. It also discusses the challenges of modernization and cultural preservation faced by younger generations of the Bugis diaspora and considers the role of the Indonesian and Malaysian governments in supporting the sustainability and integration of Bugis heritage through targeted cultural and economic initiatives.

Abstract

Indonesia has ethnoculinary diversity, one example of which is satay kuok and makan bedulang with the main side dishes being grilled fish kopiek dak betulang. This research aims to explore the role of traditional culinary delights, especially Sate Kuok and Makan Bedulang with the main side dish of grilled fish kopiek dak betulang, in strengthening the cultural identity of the Kampar community. Using participatory observation methods, this research analyzes the social and cultural values contained in these two dishes. The research results show that Sate Kuok not only functions as food, but also as a symbol of togetherness and social interaction in society. Order codes used in buying and selling transactions reflect local wisdom and strengthen relationships between community members. This research emphasizes the importance of preserving traditional culinary delights as part of cultural identity in the modern era. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide new insights into the relationship between culinary and cultural identity as well as contribute to the preservation of local cultural heritage.

Abstract

Obesity that occurs in adolescents can occur due to many things, both genetically and also to other external factors. The health problems that result from obesity were varied, and the worse is that it could lead to heart disease which could lead to sudden death. Therefore, it was necessary to have information on what factors were the causes of obesity in children. The purpose of this review article was to determine the factors that cause obesity in children. The method used in this study is the Literature Review method, namely by collecting secondary data from articles or research that has been done previously related to obesity. Search for the required data using the Garuda database, Google Scholar, and Science Direct. The key words used in the literacy search were obesity, youth. The obesity factor AND adolescent AND obesity factors. There were inclusion criteria set in determining the desired literature, namely the object in the research is a teenager, free full text, in Indonesian or English, registered in a scientific journal. Based on the results of the analysis of the literature reviewed, it was found that there are factors that can influence obesity in adolescents, namely: lack of physical activity, often consuming fast food, not having breakfast, lack of knowledge about nutrition, parental income as a supporting factor, and parental genetic factors.
