Abstract

The relationship between religion and culture is a constantly evolving discourse in Islamic and socio-cultural studies. Religion is often understood as sacred and transcendental teachings, while culture is viewed as a social product born of human creativity. However, in the reality of Indonesian society, the two often exist in a dialogue and are intertwined. This study aims to examine the relationship between religion and cultural rites in the Tedhak Siten tradition in Javanese society and the Toron Tana tradition in Madurese society, as well as to analyze the similarities and differences in the patterns of the relationship between religion and cultural rites in both traditions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a comparative research method. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation in two research locations: Tuban Village, Gondangrejo District, Madura Regency. Karanganyar and Lemper Village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the Tedhak Siten and Toron Tana traditions represent a form of acculturation between Islamic teachings and local culture, passed down through generations. Islamic religious values ​​are reflected in the recitation of prayers, gratitude to Allah SWT, and hopes for the safety and future of the child. The similarities between the two traditions lie in their symbolic function as rites of passage for infants in the early stages of life and as a medium for internalizing religious and social values. Differences are evident in the stages of the procession, ritual equipment, and the emphasis on cultural symbols, which are influenced by the social context and cultural environment of each community. This study concludes that religion and culture in the Tedhak Siten and Toron Tana traditions are not dichotomous but rather mutually reinforcing in shaping the religious character of the local community

Abstract

The development of information technology has led to the emergence of online legal consultation services provided by legalpreneurs as business actors in the legal services sector. This phenomenon raises legal implications, particularly regarding the liability of legalpreneurs toward clients in online legal consultation service agreements. This study aims to analyze the legal relationship between legalpreneurs and clients, as well as to examine the legal responsibilities arising in cases of breach of contract or losses incurred during the provision of services. The research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results indicate that the relationship between legalpreneurs and clients is based on a legally valid electronic agreement, which creates rights and obligations for both parties. Legalpreneurs are civilly liable for any losses suffered by clients due to negligence, errors, or non-compliance with the agreed services. In addition, such liability also encompasses aspects of personal data protection and the confidentiality of client information. Therefore, clearer regulations and professional ethical standards are required to ensure legal certainty and protection for all parties involved in online legal consultation services.

Abstract

The development of the Islamic capital market in Indonesia is influenced by various macroeconomic conditions, such as inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates. This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, interest rates (BI Rate), and exchange rates on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) during the 2020–2024 period, both partially and simultaneously. This research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis processed with IBM SPSS version 25. The data used are secondary monthly time series data from January 2020 to December 2024 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Bank Indonesia (BI), and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Before conducting regression analysis, the data were tested using classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests. The results show that simultaneously inflation, BI Rate, and exchange rates have a significant effect on ISSI, with an F-value of 32.414 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Partially, inflation has no significant effect on ISSI, while BI Rate and exchange rates significantly affect ISSI. The exchange rate variable is the most dominant factor influencing ISSI. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.615 indicates that 61.5% of ISSI variation can be explained by the three independent variables in this study

Abstract

This research discusses the learning motivation of fourth-grade students in IPAS learning at Al-Munawwarah Private Islamic Elementary School, Jambi City. The study focused on students’ learning motivation, the factors influencing it, and the teacher’s strategies to improve students’ motivation during classroom learning activities. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings revealed that students’ learning motivation showed different conditions. Some students were active and enthusiastic during learning activities, while others were still less confident and less involved in classroom learning. Both internal and external factors influenced students’ learning motivation. In addition, the use of varied learning methods, learning motivation from teachers, and interesting learning media helped improve students’ enthusiasm in IPAS learning.

Abstract

Teaching materials are very important for the teaching and learning process, with this teaching material it is hoped that the material to be provided by educators will be conveyed properly by students. Teaching materials have their own advantages, namely students can learn independently by using communication tools such as cellphones and computers so that they are more practical and can be accessed anytime and anywhere when needed. The purpose of researchers developing this teaching material is to find out the process of developing teaching materials based on Google Sites with Doratoon in the subject of aqidah akhlak material praiseworthy morals class XI MAN 2 Bojonegoro and to determine the feasibility of developing teaching materials based on Google Sites with Doratoon in the subject of aqidah akhlak material praiseworthy morals class The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model including analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Data in development research are observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Assessment in Google Sites teaching materials with Doratoon includes media expert validation, material expert validation, product trials, student responses and educator responses related to learning teaching materials. The results of the assessment of the development of teaching materials on Google Sites with Doratoon include media expert validation with an average of 85% with a very feasible category, material expert validation with an average of 95.83% with very feasible, practicality of educators and students averaging 96.29% with a very feasible category and trials to students and educators with readability aspects got an average score of 92.92% with a very feasible category. So it is stated that the development of teaching materials based on Google Sites with Doratoon is very feasible to use in learning Aqidah Akhlak subject matter of commendable morals.

Abstract

This research was made to explain the implementation of the economic empowerment-based demonstration method in learning fiqh chapter of buying and selling at MA Walisongo Purwosari. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data collection techniques are through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include Fiqh teachers and students of MA Walisongo Purwosari and data analysis is carried out through summarizing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that the implementation of the demonstration method based on economic empowerment in fiqh learning is carried out through three stages, the first is planning, followed by implementation and closed with learning evaluation. In the planning stage, the researcher compiles learning tools, prepares practical media and designs buying and selling demonstration activities in accordance with Islamic law. At the implementation stage, researchers give examples and students practice, so that students become directly involved in the simulation of buying and selling practices, so that learning is more active. At the evaluation stage, the researcher assesses the success of the understanding received by students during the learning process. The implementation of the demonstration method based on economic empowerment provides satisfactory results for students' understanding of fiqh material on buying and selling, improving practical skills, and fostering Islamic economic values such as honesty, responsibility, and cooperation.

Abstract

This research, entitled "Innovation of Management Information Systems in Developing the Quality of Educational Services at the Amanatullah Islamic Boarding School in Banyuwangi," is motivated by a unique phenomenon at the institution. Amidst the current of global modernization, the Amanatullah Islamic Boarding School in Banyuwangi remains consistent in maintaining the identity and culture of a salafiyah Islamic boarding school that is steeped in traditional values. However, on the other hand, this Islamic boarding school demonstrates openness to technological advancements through the implementation of a digital application-based Management Information System (MIS). This study aims to discover, describe, and analyze in depth the innovations in product aspects and innovations in human resources aspects in the management information system to improve the quality of educational services at the institution. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study type. The researcher acts as the main instrument in data collection conducted through participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews with caretakers, administrators, and system operators, as well as documentation studies related to academic and managerial data. The validity of the data is tested through triangulation of sources and techniques to ensure the objectivity of the findings in the field. The research results show that innovation in the product aspect is realized through the development of a standalone digital application that integrates student data, financial administration, and academic progress reports in real time. This innovation provides easy access for student guardians and accelerates internal bureaucratic processes. In the human resources aspect, innovation is carried out through a continuous technology training program and restructuring of operational tasks that encourage Islamic boarding school staff to adapt to digital systems without abandoning Islamic boarding school ethics. Meanwhile, in the facilities and infrastructure aspect, the provision of network infrastructure and hardware is the main support for the sustainability of the SIM. Overall, the integration of salafiyah values ​​​​and modern management through this SIM innovation has proven to be able to increase accountability, transparency, and the quality of educational services, which ultimately supports the achievement of the vision and mission of the Amanatullah Islamic Boarding School in the digital era.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI) plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character, morality, and spirituality amidst increasingly complex social changes. The transformation of PAI learning needs to be directed toward a more profound, humanistic, and meaningful learning process. This study employed a qualitative approach. The findings reveal that deep learning serves as an educational approach capable of encouraging students to understand Islamic teachings reflectively, critically, and contextually, so that religious learning is not merely oriented toward memorization and cognitive achievement, but also toward the internalization of values in everyday life. Meanwhile, the love-based curriculum emerges as a new educational paradigm emphasizing the values of compassion, empathy, tolerance, and respect for humanity as the primary foundations of the learning process. In the context of PAI, these values are aligned with Islamic teachings that uphold the concept of rahmatan lil ‘alamin and the development of noble character. The integration of deep learning and a love-based curriculum is able to create PAI learning that not only develops students’ intellectual intelligence, but also fosters spiritual awareness, social concern, and holistic humanistic character. Therefore, the reconstruction of PAI learning through the deep learning approach and love-based curriculum becomes a strategic step in presenting Islamic education that is more relevant, inclusive, transformative, and capable of addressing the challenges of modern life.

Abstract

The rise of hustle culture in the digital era has encouraged a materialistic orientation of life and limitless productivity, resulting in widespread anxiety, mental exhaustion, and spiritual disorientation. This study aims to examine the concept of Tawāzun in Buya Hamka’s Tafsir Al-Azhar and analyze its relevance as a paradigm of balanced living within contemporary work culture. The research employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach using the thematic interpretation (maudhū‘ī) method. The primary source is the Singapore edition of Tafsir Al-Azhar in ten volumes published by Pustaka Nasional Pte Ltd, with thematic analysis focused on QS. Al-Qashash: 77, QS. Al-Baqarah: 201, QS. Al-Jumu‘ah: 10, and QS. At-Takātsur: 1–2. The findings reveal that Hamka conceptualizes Tawāzun not merely as time allocation between worldly and spiritual affairs, but as an integrated orientation of work, spirituality, and human purpose grounded in tawhid. This article formulates the concept of al-niyyah al-mutawāzinah as an analytical construct that positions work as an act of worship and meaningful existence. The concept offers a critical response to hustle culture while presenting an ontological, teleological, and psychological framework of balanced living.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the last decade has brought fundamental changes to the global educational landscape, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). On one hand, AI offers extraordinary transformative potential: adaptive learning, content personalization, and assessment efficiency. On the other hand, excessive technological dominance risks eroding the human dimension in education the soul, values, and teacher-student relationship that form the heart of PAI. This article critically examines the need to reconstruct the PAI curriculum to remain relevant in the AI era without losing its essence as humanizing education. Through a library research approach with multidisciplinary literature analysis Islamic educational philosophy, educational technology, and curriculum studies this research formulates an integrative human value based PAI curriculum reconstruction framework. The findings show that PAI curriculum reconstruction in the AI era must rest on three pillars: strengthening spiritual-ethical competencies as a foundation, critical-reflective technology literacy, and revitalization of humanistic pedagogical relationships.
