Abstract

This study examines the strategy of internalizing discipline values through an integrated point system at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Campus 7 Kalianda, South Lampung. The research background involves serious problems related to student discipline, including tardiness, absenteeism, and violations of internal pesantren rules. This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing discipline values, the strategies applied, and the impact of the integrated point system on the formation of students' disciplined character. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with caregivers, teachers, OPPM administrators, and students, as well as documentation analysis. The results show that the integrated point system at Gontor Campus 7 is implemented through POACE management functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling, Evaluating) managed by the Modern Pesantren Student Organization (OPPM). The internalization process includes three stages: introduction of rules, habituation, and continuous supervision. Forms of reward include praise, reduction of violation points, and granting of leadership responsibilities, while punishment is educative such as additional tasks, special coaching, and temporary revocation of rights. The impact of this system is proven significant in improving student discipline, reducing the number of violations, and creating a conducive pesantren environment. This study recommends strengthening the socialization of the point system to new students and developing a digital-based system to improve transparency and efficiency.

Abstract

Learning interest is one of the important factors that influence the success of the learning process. The low learning interest of students in Biology subjects, especially on the excretory system material, becomes a challenge that needs to be addressed through the use of innovative learning media. This study aims to analyze the effect of YouTube educational media on students' learning interest in the excretory system material for 11th grade science students at MA Ma’arif NU Jenggawah Jember in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type. The research sample consists of an experimental class that receives learning using YouTube educational media and a control class that receives conventional learning. The research instrument is a learning interest questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.909. Data analysis was conducted using homogeneity tests and the Mann-Whitney U test with the assistance of SPSS version 32. The study results show that the average learning interest of students in the experimental class was 69.16, higher than the control class at 52.43. The Mann-Whitney U test results obtained an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, the educational media on the YouTube platform has a significant effect on students' learning interest in the excretory system material. The use of YouTube can increase students' attention, interest, motivation, and involvement in the Biology learning process.

Abstract

The dynamics of interaction among traditional traders are often characterized by fierce competition; traders are required not only to generate profit but also to uphold moral values in their trade. In this context, tasawuf akhlaqi (Sufism focused on ethics and character) serves as a spiritual foundation that fosters and guides the cultivation of noble character within social life. This article aims to analyze the social interactions of vegetable traders at the Rabuan market through the lens of tasawuf akhlaqi. The study employs a religious studies methodology with a phenomenological approach as the conceptual framework to analyze how the values of tasawuf akhlaqi are internalized within the traders' social interactions. Based on the methods, approaches, and theories utilized, this article presents analytical-descriptive data rather than merely narrative-descriptive data. The findings reveal that amidst intense competition, vegetable traders are able to maintain a balance between economic interests and spiritual principles in their trade; this is primarily due to the internalization of tasawuf akhlaqi values in their personal lives—acquired through influences such as parents, teachers, and their surrounding environment—which subsequently shapes their social interactions. Thus, tasawuf akhlaqi acts as a spiritual foundation capable of regulating inner states regarding behavior and managing conflicts among traders.

Abstract

The development of pesantren (Islamic boarding school) scholarship based on turats texts (classical Islamic texts) faces complex epistemological challenges, particularly regarding the preservation of classical scholarly traditions amidst the demands of modern knowledge and the necessity of contextualization. This situation highlights the need to maintain the authenticity of turats texts as primary sources of knowledge while simultaneously adapting them to advancements in science and technology. This article focuses on efforts to integrate traditional values with contemporary scientific approaches without compromising the distinctive character of pesantren scholarship. The scarcity of in-depth studies regarding the epistemological processes involved in developing turats-based scholarship that is responsive to changing times underscores the importance of this research. The study employs a qualitative approach involving a literature review, utilizing descriptive analysis of primary sources—supported by secondary documents—and content analysis methods. The findings indicate that the development of *pesantren* scholarship requires an integrative approach that combines traditional and modern methods, supported by competent and innovative human resources. Consequently, epistemological strengthening must be pursued through the revitalization of teaching methods and the development of curricula grounded in the values of turats texts while remaining contextually relevant. Future research could focus on formulating learning models and curricula that bridge tradition and innovation, while also evaluating their effectiveness in sustainably enhancing the quality of pesantren scholarship.

Abstract

The globalization of the economy and the development of digital technology have increased the intensity of cross-country business relations, manifested through various international business agreements. On one hand, international agreements provide opportunities for the growth of investment, trade, and technology transfer. On the other hand, there is a potential for national interests to be eroded if a country is unable to optimize the available legal instruments. This study aims to analyze the forms of protection of national interests in international business agreements as well as the legal strategies that Indonesia can implement in facing the development of the global economy. The research method used is normative legal research with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The research results indicate that the protection of national interests can be carried out through the strengthening of investment protection clauses, regulation of technology transfer, protection of natural resources, sovereignty over digital data, as well as the application of the principle of balance in international negotiations. The state needs to ensure that every international business agreement not only provides economic benefits but also guarantees the sustainability of national development.

Abstract

Religious education plays a crucial role in shaping students’ religious character. However, the limited instructional time allocated for religious subjects in public elementary schools has encouraged local governments to introduce a mandatory Madrasah Diniyah policy as an effort to strengthen religious education. This study aims to describe and analyze the integration of religious education in public elementary schools as a response to this policy. The research focuses on the forms of integration, the implementation process, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in the policy execution. This study employs a qualitative approach using a multi-case study design conducted in two public elementary schools with different implementation models. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving school principals, teachers, Madrasah Diniyah administrators, and other relevant stakeholders. Data analysis was carried out through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, and the validity of the data was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the integration of religious education is implemented through collaboration and coordination between schools and Madrasah Diniyah at the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Two integration models were identified: internal integration, where schools establish Madrasah Diniyah within the school environment, and external integration, where schools collaborate with nearby Madrasah Diniyah institutions. The integration includes curriculum alignment, scheduling adjustments, and the habituation of religious activities in students’ daily routines. Supporting factors include strong institutional commitment, support from local government policies, and community participation. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited learning time, the readiness of teaching personnel, and technical challenges during the arly stages of implementation.

Abstract

This research stems from the importance of developing an environmentally conscious school culture—one that focuses not merely on physical greening activities but also on institutional innovations capable of ensuring the sustainability of environmental programs within the madrasah (Islamic school). The Adiwiyata program, as a form of the "Green School" initiative, requires policy support, human resource management, and sustainability systems integrated into the madrasah's organizational culture. This study aims to describe and analyze Green School-based institutional innovations at MI Assunniyyah 45 Kencong, Jember, covering policy and strategic planning, human resource organization, and program sustainability systems. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing a descriptive-interpretative research design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects included the madrasah principal, teaching staff, and students. Data analysis followed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was verified through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that Green School-based institutional innovation is realized through: (1) environmentally conscious policies integrated into the madrasah's vision, budgeting, curriculum, participatory activities, and the management of eco-friendly facilities; (2) the establishment of a specific organizational structure—a working group—that systematically involves teachers and students in environmental program management; and (3) the strengthening of an environmental culture through the integration of learning, extracurricular activities, the use of school grounds as a learning medium, stakeholder participation, and the cultivation of environmentally conscious character traits. The study concludes that the Adiwiyata program at MI Assunniyyah 45 Kencong, Jember, has evolved into an institutional innovation integrated into all aspects of madrasah life, fostering a sustainable Green School culture grounded in Islamic values.

Abstract

This research examines the concept of Prophethood (Nubuwwah) according to Mahmud al-Alusi as presented in his exegetical work Rūḥ al-Maʿānī. The study analyzes his comprehensive perspective on Prophethood and evaluates both the strengths and limitations of his thought on the subject. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, the research collects and examines data from Al-Alusi’s tafsir alongside relevant authoritative scholarly sources in order to achieve its objectives. Particular attention is given to Quranic verses related to Prophethood and Al-Alusi’s interpretations of them. The study concludes that Al-Alusi developed a holistic understanding of Prophethood, regarding it as a lofty divine institution that integrates spiritual and moral perfection. He emphasized the role of Prophethood in the purification of the human soul and the cultivation of noble character, while presenting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the supreme model for humanity. Although Al-Alusi maintained a balance between reason (ʿaql) and transmitted tradition (naql), his interpretations were at times influenced by Sufism and philosophy, which occasionally resulted in ambiguity in his presentation. Moreover, the study finds that his exegetical approach does not sufficiently engage with several modern intellectual debates concerning Prophethood and revelation, thereby limiting its applicability within contemporary intellectual discourse.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perceptions and actions of Islamic boarding school students (santri) toward food security based on biological resources and Islamic teachings at Al-Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School in Diwek District and Urwatul Wusqo Islamic Boarding School in Peterongan District, Jombang Regency. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation involving students, administrators, and caretakers of the boarding schools. The results show that both Islamic boarding schools have implemented food security programs through agricultural and fishery cultivation as a form of food self-sufficiency. The biological resources developed include rice, corn, vegetables, and the cultivation of catfish, tilapia, and pangasius fish. The food security programs are supported by the availability of land, water resources, favorable environmental conditions, and the active participation of the students. The students’ perceptions of food security tend to be positive, as it is viewed as an implementation of Islamic teachings concerning environmental stewardship, self-reliance, and the prohibition of excessive behavior. The students’ actions are demonstrated through their direct involvement in seedling preparation, planting, maintenance, and the utilization of harvest products. This study indicates that Islamic boarding schools have strategic potential as centers for food security education based on Islamic values and sustainable biological resources.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of parents in Qur’an memorization activities at TK Tahfidz Al-Quds Samarinda. It employs a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach to understand the experiences and roles of parents as they support their children during the memorization process. Participants were selected using purposive sampling and consisted of guardians of students at TK Tahfidz Al-Quds Samarinda. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that parental involvement makes a significant contribution to early-childhood Qur’an memorization. Three specific key aspects were identified: the internalization of religious values and goals, parental roles and strategies, and the impact on child development. Parents act as facilitators, monitors, and motivators, supporting memorization through practices such as*muraja’ah (review), talaqqi (direct recitation/instruction), habituation, and integration with play activities, while providing support in the form of dedicated time, private tutors, and audiovisual aids. The impact on child development extends to cognitive, emotional, and moral domains, manifesting as improved memory, emotional regulation skills, and the early cultivation of proper character akhlaq regarding the Qur’an.
