Abstract

This study aims to perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on earthquake data in Indonesia obtained from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). The data used includes earthquake events from November 1, 2008, to January 26, 2023, and contains information such as date, time, latitude, longitude, depth, magnitude, and focal mechanism parameters. In this study, several EDA steps were performed, including calculating descriptive statistics, visualizing the distribution of earthquake magnitudes with histograms, scatter plots for geographical distribution, heatmaps for magnitude distribution patterns based on geographical location, and time series analysis to understand the temporal patterns of earthquake occurrences. Additionally, the earthquake data was visualized on a map using Folium with depth categories in three different colors to facilitate interpretation. The resulting interactive map was also saved as an HTML file to facilitate distribution and further analysis. The results of this study provide a deeper understanding of the characteristics of earthquakes in Indonesia and the existing patterns.

Abstract

Money laundering is a financial crime that has a major impact on economic stability and the integrity of the banking system. This crime involves disguising the origin of illegal funds through various financial mechanisms to appear legitimate. Banking is often the main medium in the money laundering process, either through storing, transferring or disguising illegal funds. This study aims to analyze money laundering mechanisms, banking institutions in preventing this crime, as well as the implementation of regulations in Indonesia, especially based on Law no. 8 of 2010 concerning Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering. Indonesia has also strengthened its supervision through institutions such as the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). However, cases such as the use of bank accounts to disguise funds resulting from corruption or narcotics trafficking show that regulation and supervision still face major challenges. Therefore, this research focuses on the role of banking law in preventing and eradicating money laundering in Indonesia.

Abstract

Uncertainty in global markets is a central issue in modern business management due to deep globalization. This uncertainty creates challenges for companies in all sectors due to rapid changes in consumer trends, government regulations, exchange rate fluctuations and geopolitical conditions. The aim of this journal is to provide an in-depth understanding of risk management in global markets as well as explore relevant risk management strategies, which are important for the future success of organizations in a complex global business environment. This research methodology combines a qualitative approach with literature analysis. By carrying out comprehensive risk identification, companies can determine appropriate mitigation steps. An integrated approach, which includes product diversification, hedging, technological innovation and corporate social responsibility, helps companies not only survive but also thrive. Thus, developing adaptive risk management strategies is critical to long-term success in dynamic global markets.

Abstract

In the digital era, transactions can be done online, and TikTok's live feature helps sellers build trust with consumers by showcasing product quality. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the akad salam in online transactions, especially among Zoomers. Using library research, this study examines fiqh literature, articles, and scientific works, with a sociological approach based on Imam Abu Hanifah's thinking. The findings conclude that TikTok Live's sale and purchase transactions align with the akad salam. The transaction adheres to the principles of clarity, avoiding gharar, and includes an agreement on the delivery of goods, transparency about product specifications, and clear delivery times, all based on honesty and trust. TikTok, as a platform, ensures payment is forwarded to the seller only upon receipt of the goods. This indicates that TikTok can fulfill sharia principles, particularly the akad salam.

Abstract

Social media has become an integral part of teens' lives, providing opportunities for social interaction, learning, and entertainment. However, its use also raises concerns regarding its impact on mental well-being. This study aims to conduct a systematic analysis of the literature that discusses the relationship between social media use and adolescent mental well-being. The study identified factors such as the duration of use, the type of platform, as well as specific activity on social media that contributed to both positive and negative outcomes, including anxiety, depression, self-image, and social relationships. The results of the study show that the impact of social media on adolescents is complex, influenced by individual and social contexts. This article provides insights for parents, educators, and policymakers to optimize the healthy use of social media for teens.

Abstract

This Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is a learning model that invites students to identify and solve real problems that can increase student engagement and motivation to learn. The purpose of the study is for students to collaborate in groups to explore knowledge, thereby strengthening critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. The results of this study indicate that the problem based learning model can help students in the learning process to understand the properties of light. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the problem based learning model has an influence on increasing student participation, especially in science subjects. This learning model focuses on the process and the end result and how students solve problems so that they can produce a problem solving or product. So this learning model is appropriate for use in science learning and the Merdeka curriculum which prioritizes student-centered learning.

Abstract

This article discusses land disputes over land use rights (HGU) between land owners and the community in the Simongan area, Semarang City. This dispute arises from a lack of legal certainty over the status of land, which has long been managed by local communities. The social, economic and legal impacts of this conflict are significant, including threats to housing, forced relocation and economic inequality. This research also highlights weaknesses in the land registration system which are often the root of problems. Using normative juridical research methods, this article proposes improvements to the land registration system, including the implementation of the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program and digitization of land data to prevent similar disputes in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a legal analysis of the hiwalah process in the context of Islamic law. Hiwalah is an important concept in the Islamic legal system that refers to the transfer of debt liabilities from one party to another. In the perspective of fiqh, hiwalah is considered a valid contract if it meets certain conditions such as the willingness of all parties involved, the existence of clear debts, and compliance with sharia principles. Hiwalah provides convenience for parties involved in financial matters, especially in settling debt and receivables obligations. In contemporary practice, the concept of hiwalah is also used in the Islamic banking and modern finance sectors, particularly in products such as credit transfer and debt management. This research examines the sharia policies on hiwalah, its terms, and its application in the modern context, as well as its potential benefits in creating a fair and ethical financial system.

Abstract

The learning media plays an important role in the learning process. Proper selection of media learning can increase the motivation and understanding of pesera learners in the process of learning teaching. The mainstream media is a powerpoint medium that can display text, pictures, and animated videos. However, the senior high school media is still on the chalkboard. Thus, asa solution to the problem researchers developed interactive, powerpoint learning media on simple aircraft matter viii. The study follows the development of addie through analysis (analysis), design (design), development (development), implementation (application), and evaluation (application). It aims to produce a worthy learning medium on the basis of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The results of this study are stated to be perfectly valid by the validator with an average score of 3.61. Practical test results came from the educational response sheet with an average score of 95% of the most practical criteria. Then the effectiveness of interactive powerbased teaching media is categorized highly effective with an average score of 87.5%. From these results it may conclude that the interactive powerpoint learning media is declared to be very valid, very practical, very effective, and worthy of use as learning media.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengupas tentang pembinaan terhadap warga gereja khususnya bagi lansia. Lansia merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang rentan menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik dari aspek kesehatan fisik, psikologis, maupun sosial. Proses penuaan sering kali disertai dengan penurunan fungsi tubuh, peningkatan risiko penyakit kronis, serta isolasi sosial yang dapat memengaruhi kualitas hidup mereka. Oleh karena itu, pembinaan lansia menjadi penting untuk mendukung kehidupan yang sehat, aktif, dan produktif di usia lanjut. Program pembinaan lansia mencakup edukasi kesehatan, pemberdayaan sosial, dan pelatihan keterampilan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka. Selain itu, pembinaan juga berperan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan mental melalui dukungan emosional dan aktivitas yang melibatkan komunitas. Dengan adanya pembinaan yang terstruktur, lansia dapat mempertahankan kemandirian, memperkuat hubungan sosial, dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan secara keseluruhan. Hal ini tidak hanya memberikan manfaat bagi lansia itu sendiri, tetapi juga mendorong terciptanya masyarakat yang inklusif dan peduli terhadap semua kelompok usia.
