Abstract

The novelty of this research lies in the integration of technology applied to the project-based learning process through structured documentation that supports digitalization. The development of a Google Sites-based PjBL (Project-Based Learning) model integrated with a phased digital portfolio structure (planning–implementation–reflection–evaluation), which has not been systematically studied among PGSD (Primary School Teacher Education) students taking the Developmental Psychology of Learners course. Students can learn from anywhere, complete assignments, and lecturers can document all student assignments neatly stored as digital documents. The article uses a mixed method combining quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches: the quantitative aspect is measured from student response questionnaires after using the application, while the qualitative aspect comes from in-depth interviews and documentation of individual portfolio reports neatly organized for each meeting. This learning approach combines technological sophistication with efforts to reduce paper usage in the learning process. The researcher utilizes technology by integrating Google Sites. The results of this research can be seen from the questionnaire distributed to 35 students regarding: 1) The suitability of interactive multimedia learning with the learning theme, 2) Interactive Google Sites multimedia increases my enthusiasm for learning, 3) The multimedia's capability as a tool to understand and remember learning materials, 4) Challenges in using Google Sites and uploading portfolio assignments. In conclusion, the data results show that the portfolios are neatly stored in the Google Sites web as an integration of structured digital documents, serving as a tool in the distance learning process that also challenges students' critical thinking.

Abstract

This study explores EFL preservice teachers’ perceptions of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) integrated with digital literacy in improving teaching skills. In contemporary EFL contexts, teachers are expected to facilitate meaningful communication while also using digital tools to support interactive, flexible, and student-centered learning. Although CLT and digital literacy have been widely discussed separately, limited attention has been given to how their integration is perceived by preservice teachers as future English educators. This study employed a qualitative research design involving 85 EFL preservice teachers enrolled in English Language Education programs at universities in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed using qualitative procedures of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that participants perceived CLT integrated with digital literacy positively because it promoted authentic communication, increased student engagement, and supported interactive learning. Digital tools were viewed as useful for extending communicative activities through online discussions, collaborative writing, video presentations, and digital learning platforms. The participants also believed that this integration improved their teaching skills, particularly in lesson planning, digital tool selection, classroom interaction management, creative material development, assessment, feedback, and professional confidence. However, they emphasized that successful implementation requires adequate training, stable internet access, digital facilities, and opportunities for practice. The study concludes that integrating CLT with digital literacy can strengthen preservice teachers’ pedagogical, technological, and communicative competence. It suggests that EFL teacher education programs should provide practice-based training that connects communicative pedagogy with digital literacy development for sustainable future classroom teaching practice effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the learning interest and academic achievement of elementary school students in East Lombok Regency. The phenomenon of low learning interest and the disparity in achievement levels among students have become significant concerns in improving the quality of basic education in the region. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The population consists of all elementary school students in the Bunga Melati Cluster, while the samples were selected through purposive sampling from several schools representing the cluster. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of students' learning, followed by a data analysis of the factors affecting learning interest and achievement. The results indicate that internal factors, such as personal desire, feelings of enjoyment, attention, diligence, task completion, and discipline, have a significant influence on students' learning interest and achievement. Furthermore, external factors, including parental upbringing and the school environment, provide a substantial contribution to the improvement of learning outcomes. Simultaneously, both internal and external factors exert a strong positive influence on the learning interest and academic achievement of elementary school students in East Lombok Regency. These findings underscore the importance of synergy between schools and the family environment in creating a conducive learning atmosphere oriented toward the holistic development of students' potential

Abstract

Literacy is still a topic that resonates in the world, especially in the scope of education. Various efforts were made by the government to provide the program, one of which was through the School Literacy Movement. To support the program, efforts need to be made to increase children's literacy motivation. One of the efforts made is to develop storybooks that interest students. In addition to increasing interest in reading, storybooks can be used as a means of character education. Through the stories presented, students can learn the concrete experienced. So far, there are not many books presented that contain values that can be learned by students, so it is necessary to develop storybooks for children that are socio-cultural-based Efforts to maintain local and social culture are built in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education. Character education for elementary school students must start from early childhood, aiming to embed foundational values such as mutual cooperation, creativity, and respect for diversity, so that students can implement them in everyday life. In addition, children's story books are considered effective in teaching existing learning content to students. Learning to use children's storybooks is also more in line with the characteristics of elementary-age children who are in the concrete operational stage. In the story, students will be faced with a story that can be directly related to their life or experience in the real world. Values and learning materials can be revealed by utilizing the play, setting, or storyline in it. With the research, the development of this storybook is expected to make a positive contribution to the development of literacy and character of students. Developing storybooks with socio-cultural content is the purpose of this research, so the results of this research are packaged in the form of storybooks that can be used by schools.
