Abstract

This research is motivated by the low results of students' practical work on the material of haircutting angles, where only 47.06% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). Students have difficulty in mastering basic hair cutting techniques, determining partings, and creating appropriate cutting patterns. In addition, the learning media used is still limited to PowerPoint and printed books so that it does not support optimal practical learning. This study aims to develop and determine the feasibility of video tutorial media for haircutting angles for grade XI students of Beauty Treatment at SMK Swasta Gelora Jaya Nusantara. The study used the R&D method with the ADDIE model. The research subjects consisted of 34 students, three material experts, and three media experts. Data collection techniques used a needs questionnaire, expert validation, and product trials. The results showed that the validation of material experts obtained a percentage of 98% and validation of media experts was 95.5% with a very feasible category. The results of student trials showed a percentage of 87% in the small group, 91% in the medium group, and 93% in the large group with a very good category. Thus, the developed video tutorial media is declared very suitable for use in learning hair cutting.

Abstract

Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is an educational system oriented toward achieving measurable learning outcomes as the basis for planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. Implementing OBE in higher education requires learning innovations that can optimally support the achievement of graduate competencies. This research aims to develop web-based learning media through a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach and to test its feasibility and effectiveness in the Children's Fashion course. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. During the needs analysis phase, 92.5% of lecturers and 89.27% ??of students expressed a very high need for the development of web-based learning media. Product validation results showed that the assessment by material experts was 88.6% and the media experts 89%, both of which are in the very good category. User trials also showed positive results, with 81% of the small group, 85% of the medium group, and 87% of the large group, all in the good to excellent category. The effectiveness analysis showed that the average pretest score of 44.29 increased to 78.27 in the posttest. Furthermore, the N-Gain calculation was 0.61, which is in the moderate category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the web-based learning media developed using the Project-Based Learning approach is feasible and quite effective in improving student learning outcomes in the Children's Fashion course and supporting the implementation of an OBE-based education system

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of interactive modules based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in the General Biology course in the Science Education Study Program, Institute of Global Nusantara Education. The research design used was a one group pretest-posttest design involving 21 students as research subjects. The instruments used are in the form of multiple-choice test questions and validated descriptions. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and N-Gain index to measure improved learning outcomes. The results showed that the average pre-test score was 52.38 and post-test was 79.52 and the results of the hypothesis test with the t-test were <0.05. The average N-Gain obtained was 0.57 which is included in the medium category. As many as 80.95% of students were in the medium N-Gain category and 19.05% in the high category. It can be concluded that PBL-based interactive modules are effective in improving student learning outcomes in General Biology courses.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a storytelling-based embroidery book for the basic embroidery techniques course to improve the creativity of fashion education students. The study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D model that includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. From the results of the validity test of material experts, media experts and student trials. The validity of the material experts obtained 83.9% and the media experts obtained 82.87% with very good criteria. The results of the small group trial obtained 82.2%, the medium scale trial obtained 85.3% and the large group trial obtained 87.3% with a very good category. The results of the study show that the storytelling-based embroidery book for the basic fashion embroidery techniques course is suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a valid Textile Technology learning e-module. The research employed a research and development (R&D) approach, focusing on the development of a Textile Technology learning e-module product. The development model applied in this study was the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model. The research subjects consisted of FT Unimed students enrolled in the Textile Technology course. Data were collected using a questionnaire, while descriptive data analysis was employed to determine the feasibility of the Textile Technology e-module. The findings revealed that: (1) a Textile Technology learning e-module was successfully developed, and (2) the developed e-module was categorized as highly valid in terms of material aspects (0.90) and format aspects (0.82). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Textile Technology e-module is feasible for use as a learning module in Textile Technology courses at the higher education level.
