Abstract

Pancasila and Citizenship Education teachers have a strategic role in strengthening the creativecharacter of students at SMK Islam Al Madina Pecangaan District, Jepara Regency. This study aims todescribe the role of Pancasila and Citizenship Education Teachers in strengthening the creative character ofclass XII students at SMK Islam Al Madina. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptivemethods. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showedthat the teacher of SMK Islam Al Madina towards strengthening the creative character of students has a roleas: 1) facilitator, providing opportunities for students to express their ideas and providing learningreferences; 2) motivator, providing encouragement to students to express ideas; 3) manager, using severalmethods such as lectures, group discussions and assignments to students so that students are able to generateideas; 4) guide, guide students to read diligently and be confident in expressing ideas; 5) demonstrator, hasnot been implemented optimally because the teacher does not have varied learning media; 6) evaluator, usesseveral assessments (oral tests, independent assignments, presentations) which are used as a reference forthe level of student understanding; 7) role model, the teacher has not maximized his role as a role modelbecause he shows more discipline character to students. Researchers used six indicators of creativecharacter, namely 1) fluency; 2) flexibility; 3) originality; 4) elaboration; 5) high curiosity; 7) like to try newthings.Keywords: Role of Pancasila and Civic Education Teacher, Strengthening, Creative Character

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sentence function patterns in the text “Kepala Suku Len” containedin the Indonesian language textbook Bahasa Indonesia: Lihat Sekitar! for Grade IV SD/MI (MerdekaCurriculum edition). The study stems from the urgency of understanding syntactic structures in children'sreading texts, particularly in the context of text-based learning that emphasizes language skills and criticalthinking. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using content and syntactic analysis techniques.Data were obtained through documentation of sentences in the text, which were then analyzed based ontraditional and functional syntactic theories. The results show that the text is dominated by S-P (Subject–Predicate) and S-P-K (Subject–Predicate–Complement) sentence patterns, along with variations such as S-P-O, S-P-O-K, and K-S-P. These patterns indicate a tendency toward simple yet communicative sentencestructures that support the reinforcement of social and moral values. These findings suggest that the readingtext in the textbook conforms to syntactic rules and is relevant for the development of language competenceand literacy among elementary school students. This study is expected to contribute to the development ofmore functional, communicative, and learner-appropriate teaching materials.Keywords: children's reading text, Merdeka Curriculum, syntax, sentence function pattern, textbook

Abstract

Character education in elementary schools is an important aspect in shaping a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has moral and social integrity. Pencak Silat extracurricular activities as non-formal activities are considered to have the potential to instill character values through physical training, discipline, and social interaction. However, previous studies have primarily focused on character education within formal curriculum and religious activities, leaving the use of Pencak Silat as a medium for character development in elementary schools largely unexplored. This study aims to address this gap and uncover the character values reflected in Pencak Silat extracurricular activities. This study employsa descriptive qualitative approach with a field study conducted at Sukoanyar Junior High School in Kediri. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Source and technique triangulation was used to ensure data validity. The research findings indicate that pagar nusa activities reflect 11 out of 18 character values as defined by the Ministry of Education and Culture, including: discipline, responsibility, hard work, tolerance, religiosity, social concern, love for peace, and independence. These values develop through the process of habit formation, the example set by coaches, and social interaction during training. These findings confirm that character education can be implemented contextually through non-formal activities based on direct experience.Keywords: Character education; Extracurricular activities; Martial Arts

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approachin strengthening literacy skills while reducing the gap in academic achievement of class X.6 students at SMANegeri 106 Jakarta. The method used is classroom action research (PTK) by integrating initial diagnosticassessments and observations of student characteristics to develop adaptive learning strategies. The researchresults show a significant increase, especially in groups of students who had not previously developed, withan average increase in achievement of 20%. In addition, group-based learning provides higher results thanindividual learning, with an average increase in grades of 18%. The role of teachers as facilitators anddiagnosers of students' literacy needs has proven to be a determining factor in the success of TaRLimplementation. However, challenges such as the integration of psychosocial support and consistency offormative assessments still need to be considered so that the impact of TaRL can be more optimal.Keywords: Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL), literacy, academic gaps, differentiated learning, seniorhigh school

Abstract

Digital transformation in Vocational High Schools (SMK) faces significant challenges, particularly the dominance of traditional teaching methods and the limited involvement of parents in the learning process. This study aims to develop a Moodle Plus–based e-learning platform integrated with parental involvement as supervisory partners, and to evaluate its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the plomp model, which consists of preliminary investigation, prototype development, and assessment phases. The trial involved 31 tenth-grade students at SMKN 2 Yogyakarta, adopting a One-Group Pretest–Posttest design. The validity of the e-learning platform was assessed using ISO 25010 standards, focusing on functionality, usability, and portability. Effectiveness was measured by comparing pretest and posttest results through the Wilcoxon test. The findings indicate thatthe Moodle Plus–based e-learning platform is valid, with product moment correlation values of r = 1 for functionality and portability (excellent) and r = 0.607 for usability (good). The Wilcoxon test produced a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), demonstrating a substantial improvement in students’ psychomotor learning outcomes after using the platform. In conclusion, Moodle Plus e-learning, supported by parental involvement as supervisory partners, is proven to be valid, practical, and effective, making it feasible for implementation as a Learning Management System in vocational schools.Keywords: e-learning, moodle plus, ISO 25010, parental collaboration

Abstract

This study aims to analyze research trends on writing skills learning materials in Indonesianlanguage learning in higher education through bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer software. This studyuses a bibliometric analysis method. Data were obtained through Publish or Perish to obtain metadata sourcedfrom Google Scholar between 2010 and 2025. Furthermore, the data were analyzed based on quantity,quality, and structure indicators using the VOSviewer. The results show that from 2015 to 2025, researchtrends on writing skills learning materials in Indonesian language learning in higher education experienced asignificant increase. Although in 2022 and 2025 there was a decline. Network visualization throughVOSviewer shows that the most frequently appearing terms are Indonesian language, learning material,student, and university, while research specifically discussing writing learning materials in Indonesianlanguage learning is still very limited. Articles with the highest citations emphasize learning media andlanguage teaching materials in general. These findings indicate a research gap as well as an opportunity forfurther research to develop teaching materials on writing topics that are more innovative and relevant to theneeds of Indonesian language learning in higher education.Keywords: Bibliometrics, Indonesian Language Learning, Learning Materials, Trends, VOSviewer

Abstract

The advanced development of Artificial Intelligence has created many platforms. One of the mostpopular Artificial Intelligence platforms in Indonesia is Gemini. However, the appearance of Gemini is notalways accepted in society. Some countries in the world take steps to block or restrict Gemini. This is becauseGemini can create plagiarism, and make people unable to think critically. This research aims to identifyGemini's ability as a means of providing information in the field of education. This research uses QualitativeMethod with Case Study approach. The result of the research is that the information generated by Gemini isnot always accurate. but based on testing Gemini by comparing information on the Alodokter website, Geminican provide accurate information even though the opportunity for misinformation can still occur. Therefore,it can be concluded that the use of Gemini as a means of providing information in the field of education thatdiscusses health can be applied, but only as additional information that does not yet have truth value beforecomparing it with trusted sources.Keywords: gemini, information, health, education

Abstract

This study aims to analyze various recommendations for Civic Education in terms of curriculumstructure, content, teaching, and learning models in Nigeria. The research uses a literature review method,which seeks to explore various theories related to the research topic as a reference for the findings. Theprocess includes data collection, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The data were obtained bycollecting books and journals from national and international sources such as Google Scholar, Taylor andFrancis, and other reliable sources. The data analysis used critical appraisal, which involves analyzing theselected journals to identify differences, similarities, and limitations among them. The results of the studyare: 1) In terms of curriculum structure, Civic Education in Nigeria is organized by educational levels. Atthe primary and secondary levels, it focuses on social studies and health issue s, while at the university level,Civic Education is taught as a general course covering political science, government and democratic. 2)Teaching in Nigeria is conducted by teachers according to their subject and grade level. In addition, moreexperienced and older teachers tend to better support diversity in their classrooms. 3) The learning modelused in Civic Education in Nigeria applies a holistic approach.Keywords: Nigeria, Learning Model, Civic Education, Teaching, Curriculum Structure

Abstract

Literasi membaca merupakan kompetensi dasar yang berperan penting dalam mendukungkeberhasilan belajar siswa, terutama pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) yang banyakmemanfaatkan teks informasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh literasimembaca terhadap prestasi belajar IPS siswa SMP Negeri di Jakarta Timur. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengandesain survei digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 60 siswa dari tiga sekolahnegeri. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas kuesioner literasi membaca dan dokumentasi nilai prestasi IPS. Datadianalisis menggunakan regresi sederhana untuk menguji hubungan antara kedua variabel. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan literasi membaca terhadap prestasi IPS dengan nilai signifikansi0,000 (p < 0,05) dan t hitung sebesar 8,062. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa siswa dengan literasi membacatinggi cenderung mencapai prestasi akademik yang lebih baik. Implikasi penelitian ini mendorong sekolahuntuk memperkuat program literasi membaca melalui strategi pembelajaran inovatif, seperti gamifikasi,microlearning, dan pendekatan diferensiasi, agar siswa mampu mengembangkan kemampuan membacasekaligus meningkatkan capaian akademik pada mata pelajaran IPS.Kata kunci: literasi, membaca, prestasi belajar, ilmu pengetahuan sosial, siswa SMP
