Abstract

This research aims to know, describe and explain how Performing Arts Management in Sanggar Sri Indera Bupala, Bengkong District, Batam City. This type is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The research instruments are the researchers themselves and are assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery, cameras and voice recorders. Data were collected through literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps of analyzing the data are data reduction, data description and conclusion. The results of the study show that the steps in the management of Sanggar Sri Indera Bupala are planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The planning stage includes determining the name, objectives, policies, procedures, and work programs consisting of long-term work programs, short-term work programs, and incidental work programs. The level of organization in the Sri Indera Bupala studio is to give positions to several members of the management as a form of sense of responsibility for the members in the studio. At the mobilization stage at the Sri Indera Bupala studio, the studio leaders gave direct briefings to studio members and also provided motivation to studio members in the form of rules such as, if studio members are diligent and active in participating in training, they will have the opportunity to continue to participate in studio performances, both scheduled and unscheduled. As well as other mobilization is to carry out all activities and programs that have been planned and determined in advance. The supervision stage at the Sri Indera Bupala studio is the studio leader who directly supervises in coordination with the management and team involved both during the rehearsal process and during the performance.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the values of character education in the children's drama script of the Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM. The object used in this study is the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM which contains the values of character education. This type of research is qualitative research using the content analysis method. The data collection technique is to read and understand the script of the drama Kingdom of the Bird by Saini KM with the aim of obtaining a clear understanding of the drama script, identifying dialogues or actions that have character education values in the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM, recording data related to character education values on the record sheet and inventorying the data that has been obtained in the form of a table format. The data analysis technique is to classify data regarding the character education values contained in the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM in the form of a data recording format, clarify or clarify the data that has been obtained, interpret the data regarding the values of character education in the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM and draw conclusions and report the results of data analysis. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was found that the values of character education in the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM, namely the values of character education (1) religious, (2) honest, (3) hard work, (4) democratic, (5) appreciating achievements, (6) friendly/communicative, (7) love of peace, (8) caring for the environment, (9) caring for social, and (10) responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Gasing learning method on mathematics learning outcomes of class VI spatial building materials of SDN 173420 Pollung T.A 2023/2024. This research is an experimental study with an experimental approach. The sample used in this study was 27 grade VI students. The research instruments consisted of (1) Interview sheets related to mathematics learning outcomes, and (2) test instruments in the form of questions to determine student learning outcomes. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively and continued with the N-Gain test to test the level of effectiveness of the learning method.Based on the statistical descriptive data analysis, the average pre-test score was 45.7 and the post-test score was 80.5. Then in the hypothesis test through the N-Gain test with an effectiveness level of 70%, it can be concluded that the Gasing learning method is quite effective on the learning outcomes of mathematics in the material of spatial structures of class VI. From the explanation above, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning: The effectiveness of the Gasing learning method on the learning outcomes of mathematics in the material of spatial structures of class VI SDN 173420 Pollung T.A 2023/2024.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of gymnastic variations on the level of physical fitness of class V SD Negeri 091486 Afd IV/V Jorlang Hataran T.A 2023/2024. This research is an experimental research with an experimental approach. The sample used in this study were grade V students totaling 24 students. The research instrument consisted of (1) Interview sheet related to the results of the variation of rhythmic gymnastics in the school, and (2) Test instrument using Sports Faal to determine the results of students' physical fitness. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively and continued with a non-parametric test using the Waxicon Test to determine whether there was a difference in the average of the two samples.Based on descriptive statistical data analysis, the average pre test result is 2.3 and the post test is 3.4. Then in the non-parametric test it is known that Asymp.Sig (2-tiled) is 0.000 because the value of 0.000 <0.50, it can be concluded that "Hypothesis accepted". This means that there is a difference between the results of physical fitness for the pre test and post test. So it can be concluded that "There is a difference in the results of students' physical fitness towards the variation of class V rhythmic gymnastics".

Abstract

Children are the next generation of the nation and a source of people for national development, so they must be cared for and nurtured as early as possible so that they become high-quality and useful people for the nation. Therefore, the alternative given is the reward and punishment method. This research is qualitative research, namely research aimed at describing and analyzing phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, thoughts of individual people and groups of data related to this research using field studies. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of applying the reward and punishment method in an effort to develop the emotional intelligence of children aged 5-6 years at Nurul Hidayah Kindergarten, Gunung Maddah, Sampang. Meanwhile, it is hoped that the use of this research will be beneficial for all groups. Obtaining valid data requires adequate informants and must use several techniques. There are three data collection techniques used in research, observation, interview and documentation methods. The application of rewards at Nurul Hidayah Kindergarten in group B was observed and researched by researchers by applying rewards by giving star marks. Where for children who do activities every day, listen to instructions from the teacher and carry out a habitual activity, the child will get a reward in the form of a star or by giving praise, a thumbs up, occasionally they are also given a prize in the form of a row in front of the first number, sitting on a bench. front, etc. Meanwhile, punishment is a punishment such as singing in front of them or something like that, so that they are deterred and don't make the same mistake..

Abstract

Background: In PAUD programs, learning activities are designed to develop various aspects of child development, including language skills. Objective: This study aims to improve children's language skills through the application of the Storytelling Method in Group B of Ummul Mu'min Kindergarten, North Kolaka Regency. Methods: The study used a classroom action research design (PTK) with two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 16 children in Group B of Ummul Mu'min Kindergarten. Data were collected through observation, as well as documentation of the learning process. Results: The results showed that the implementation of the Storytelling Method significantly improved children's language skills. In cycle I, there was an increase from 40% to 72.22%, and in cycle II it reached a success rate of 93.75%. Conclusion: The implication of this study is that the Storytelling Method can be used as an effective alternative method in developing children's language skills at the kindergarten level. This research is expected to contribute to the development of learning strategies in kindergarten and provide guidance for teachers to design learning activities that support children's language development.

Abstract

English language proficiency has an important role in communication, daily life, and academic pursuits. English language proficiency opens up future opportunities such as employment and higher education, which often require proficiency standards such as TOEFL or IELTS. Even though it is a compulsory subject in school, many have difficulty learning English. The four main skills to be developed are reading, writing, listening, and speaking, all of which are essential for communicative competence and vocabulary mastery. In response to these challenges, educators are increasingly using technology such as the Rosetta Stone app. This app is known for its Dynamic Immersion and TruAccent features that make learning interactive and effective. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the Rosetta Stone application on the vocabulary mastery of grade VII students at Al Azhar Islamic Junior High School Tulungagung. The experimental research method was used by dividing the research subjects into two groups, namely the experimental group that used the Rosetta Stone application and the control group that did not use it. The results showed that students' vocabulary scores increased significantly from 73.20 to 90.80 after using this application. Statistical analysis with paired sample t-test confirmed the effectiveness of the application in improving students' vocabulary mastery and interest in learning English. The study confirms the positive impact of technological interventions such as Rosetta Stone in improving English language skills, validating their efficacy through rigorous statistical analysis and practical results.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of guidance and counseling teachers in providing career information through career guidance to class IX students at Al-Ihsan Maryke Private MTs, located on Jln. Education No.1 Maryke, Maryke Plantation, Kutambaru, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. The research method used is qualitative with a focus on how guidance and counseling teachers convey information regarding career choices and educational paths after graduation. The research results show that guidance and counseling teachers at Al-Ihsan Maryke Private MTs play a vital role by providing an overview of various professions and their requirements, as well as facilitating group discussions and question and answer sessions. They also invite practitioners from various fields to provide direct insight to students. However, there is a lack of depth of information and personalization of guidance. The career guidance provided is often felt to be too general and not suited to students' specific needs. Many students feel that the information presented is not in-depth enough and is difficult to apply to their personal situations, so they have difficulty connecting career choices with their interests and talents. To increase the effectiveness of coaching, a more structured and detailed approach is needed as well as more personalized coaching sessions. This is expected to help students plan concrete steps for their future and make better decisions regarding education and career.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the types of connotative meaning found in Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die album, and the reasons of connotative meaning found in positive and negative by using Feng et al theory. This research used descriptive qualitative design. The data for this research was collected by using three steps, there were downloading, listening, transcribing, and identifying by the songs. The data analysis for this research used triangulation method, namely data condensation, data display, drawing and verifying conclusion. The result of this research was found that there are 65 connotative meaning found in lyrics of 12 songs on Born to Die album by Lana Del Rey. Furthermore, from 65 connotative meaning consisted of 33 positive connotative meaning and 32 negative connotative meaning. Moreover, from 37 lexicon types of connotative meaning consisted of 17 positive lexicon and 20 negative lexicon. Finally, from 28 lexicon types of connotative meaning consisted of 16 positive predicate and 12 negative predicate types.

Abstract

This research is based on the low learning outcomes of students in Indonesian language subjects because students feel bored, fed up with learning carried out using the lecture method so that students are not interested in participating in learning. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru in Indonesian language subjects by using animation media in the learning process. This research is classroom action research (PTK). The subjects in this research were class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru, totaling 25 students. Meanwhile, the object of this research is the use of animation media in Indonesian language learning to improve the learning outcomes of class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru. This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle was carried out over two meetings. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of research on the use of animation media in Indonesian language learning in improving the learning outcomes of class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru are that in the first cycle, 82.25% of teacher activities were in the good category, 83.2% of student learning outcomes were in the good category. In cycle II, the results of using animation media increased, 96.25% of teacher activities were in the very good category, 96% of student learning outcomes were in the very good category. The results of this research show that the use of animation media in Indonesian language learning improves the learning outcomes of class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru improves student learning outcomes.
