Abstract

This study aims to prove collaborative academic supervision actions to improve teachers’ competence in developing learning materials as well as how collaborative academic supervision measures to achieve these goals. This research uses an action research design. This action research was carried out in the context of the school. This action research consists of cycles consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects in this study were 86 teachers in one Indonesian regent of Jambi provincial. This study was conducted in 2019/2020 academic year in the odd semester. The results of the study found that individual collaborative academic supervision actions to teachers could scientifically improve teacher competence in compiling learning materials, namely syllabus and lesson plans. This result is proven by the increase in the quality and quantity of syllabus and lesson plans assessed by teachers after collaborative academic supervision in the second cycle. The second cycle of action also resulted in an increase in teacher competency in preparing syllabi and lesson plans that were both 62% and 58%. This research recommends for the school principals that the implementation of individual collaborative supervision is very suitable to be used to improve teacher competence in developing learning materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of reward and teacher commitment on job satisfaction at SMK Negeri Kota Jambi. This research uses quantitative methods with a non-experimental research design (survey). The population used in this study were teachers at the State Vocational School of Jambi City who were PNS (Pegawai Negeri Sipil). The technique used in this research is random sampling, a total of 70 teachers. The data collection technique in this study used primary data in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) There is an effect of reward on job satisfaction with the tcount of reward of 2.867, while the t-table is 1.996, the result is that 2.867> 1.996, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is a partially significant effect between reward and job satisfaction. (2) There is an effect of teacher commitment on job satisfaction with the tcount of teacher commitment of 5.596, while the t-table is 1.996, the results are 5.596> 1.996, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is a partially significant effect between teacher commitment to job satisfaction. (3) There is an effect of reward and teacher commitment on job satisfaction with the Fcount value of 17.591, while the Ftable value is 3.13, because 17.591> 3.13, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is a significant influence between reward and teacher commitment. together on job satisfaction. Based on this research, it is suggested that school leaders / principals at State Vocational Schools in Jambi City can pay more attention to teacher job satisfaction, so that all teachers become more competent and have enthusiasm for improving their work performance, especially in carrying out their duties as educators, so that school goals can be achieved. Abstrak. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang pengaruh reward dan komitmen guru terhadap kepuasan kerja pada SMK Negeri Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian non-eksperimen(survey). Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru pada SMK Negeri Kota Jambi berstatus PNS (Pegawai Negeri Sipil). Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Random Sampling, Sebanyak 70 guru. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer berupa angket. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Terdapat pengaruh reward terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan nilai thitung reward sebesar 2,867, sedangkan ttabel sebesar 1,996, diperoleh hasil bahwa 2,867 > 1,996, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan secara persial antara reward terhadap kepuasan kerja. (2) Terdapat pengaruh komitmen guru terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan nilai thitung komitmen guru sebesar 5,596, sedangkan t tabel sebesar 1,996, diperoleh hasil 5,596 > 1,996, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan secara persial antara komitmen guru terhadap kepuasan kerja. (3) Terdapat pengaruh reward dan komitmen guru terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan nilai Fhitung sebesar 17,591, sedangkan Nilai Ftabel sebesar 3,13, karena 17,591 > 3,13, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara reward dan komitmen guru secara bersama-sama terhadap kepuasan kerja. Berdasarkan penelitian ini disarankan agar pimpinan/kepala sekolah pada SMK Negeri Kota Jambi dapat lebih memperhatikan kepuasan kerja guru, agar seluruh guru menjadi lebih berkompeten dan semangat meningkatkan prestasi kerjanya terutama dalam menjalankan tugasnya sebagai tenaga pendidik, sehingga tercapainya tujuan sekolah.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the effect of leadership style and organizational climate on employee performance mediated by Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Primary data sources using a questionnaire taken on the research object of the Bank X with a total sample of 76 respondents. The study uses quantitative descriptive analysis and data processed with SPSS 24 namely regression analysis and path analysis. The results showed that there was a positive influence of leadership style and organizational climate on employee performance. Leadership style and organizational climate influence OCB. OCB mediates leadership style on employee performance and OCB also mediates organizational climate on employee performance. This research recommends that the leaders of Bank X need to review policy on improving the implementation of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in order all employees do more productive contribution in the office. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe in depth the role of the principal in improving the academic qualifications of PAUD teachers in the rose cluster Talo District, Seluma Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design that has meaning. With a qualitative approach, the information obtained can be more complete, in-depth and reliable. The main participant in this study is the head of PAUD who is a member of the rose group Talo Subdistrict, Seluma Regency with a total of 5 partisipants. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by means of a qualitative cross case analysis with emphasis on efforts to answer research questions through formal argumentative thinking. The conclusion of the study is that the role of the principal in improving the academic qualifications of PAUD teachers in the rose group Talo District Seluma District has been carried out maximally routinely and continuously but has not yet issued teachers in the rose group Talo District Seluma regency qualified S1 PGPAUD academies. Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan secara mendalam peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualifikasi akademik guru PAUD di gugus mawar Kecamatan Talo Kabupaten Seluma. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain case study yang memiliki makna Dengan pendekatan kualitatif maka informasi yang diperoleh bisa lebih lengkap, mendalam dan dapat dipercaya. Partisipan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala PAUD yang tergabung pada gugus mawar Kecamatan Talo Kabupaten Seluma yang berjumlah 5 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara cross case analysis kualitatif dengan penekananya pada usaha menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan penelitian melalui cara berfikir formal argumentatif. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualifikasi akademik guru PAUD pada gugus mawar Kecamatan Talo Kabupaten Seluma telah dilaksanakan secara maksimal secara rutin dan berkesinambungan namun belum mengeluarkan guru pada gugus mawar Kecamatan Talo Kabupaten Seluma berkualifikasi akademi S1 PGPAUD.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of Jigsaw as one of cooperative learning model toward students’ academic achievement in English subject. The respondents were the college students’ major in history who were taking English subject at their first semester, academic year 2018/2019. The study adopted the framework proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart (1988); which consists of planning, acting, ovserving, and reflecting. Two cycles were applied to the class, in which each cicle consisted of two meetings. From the treatments, it was revealed that at the first cycle, only 40% of students passed the minimum standard score of completeness 70. Then, at the second cycle, students’ academic achievement improved significantly. 80% of students pass the minimum standard score of completeness. Moreover, aside of improvement in academic achievement, students also motivated to learn English; during teaching and learning process, they actively participated in discussion. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menngetahui efektivitas Jigsaw sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap prestasi akademik siswa dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris. Responden adalah mahasiswa jurusan sejarah yang mengambil mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris pada semester pertama, tahun akademik 2018/2019. Studi ini mengadopsi kerangka kerja yang diusulkan oleh Kemmis dan McTaggart (1988); yang terdiri dari perencanaan, akting, ovserving, dan refleksi. Dua siklus diterapkan ke kelas, di mana setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Dari perlakuan, terungkap bahwa pada siklus pertama, hanya 40% siswa lulus skor standar ketuntasan minimum 70. Kemudian, pada siklus kedua, prestasi akademik siswa meningkat secara signifikan. 80% siswa lulus skor kelengkapan standar minimum. Selain itu, selain peningkatan prestasi akademik, siswa juga termotivasi untuk belajar bahasa Inggris; selama proses belajar mengajar, mereka secara aktif berpartisipasi dalam diskusi.

Abstract

Extracurricular activities are non-academic activities that support academic activities. Extracurricular activities are very important in growing and developing students' skills, both in their personal activities and community issues so that students are ready to face the world of work and their future. But in practice, extracurricular activities sometimes do not get a balanced portion compared to academic activities. This needs to be the concern of the Principal as the full control and manager in all program activities in the school. The study was conducted at MTs Keppe Larompong Subdistrict to find out how the managerial role of the Principal in developing extracurricular activities in schools and the obstacles encountered. Through the method of field research (Field Research) obtained the results that the Principal of MTs Keppe Larompong District has carried out its managerial role well. This is proven that currently there have been carried out six types of extracurricular activities namely Scouting, PMR, SSB Si Jagoraga, Drum Band, SPM and Arts and Culture. In addition, the fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure for extracurricular activities has been carried out by the school principal. The Principal also plays an active role in monitoring activities ranging from the appointment of the Teacher Guidance for each activity, conducting supervision, opening up the domain of coordination to the activity development innovation program. The obstacles faced by the Principal of MTs Keppe, Larompong Subdistrict are the lack of activity funds and the lack of competent human resources as co-teachers of extracurricular activities. Abstrak. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler merupakan kegiatan non-akademik yang mendukung kegiatan akademik. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sangat penting dalam menumbuhkan dan mengembangkan keterampilan (skill) siswa, baik itu dalam kegiatan pribadinya maupun soisal masyarakat agar siswa siap menghadapi dunia kerja dan masa depannya. Namun pada praktiknya, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kadang kala tidak mendapat porsi seimbang disbanding kegiatan akademik. Hal ini perlu menjadi perhatian Kepala Sekolah sebagai pemegang kendali penuh dan manajer dalam semua program kegiatan di sekolah. Penelitian dilakukan di MTs Keppe Kecamatan Larompong untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran manajerial Kepala Sekolah dalam mengembangkan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di sekolah dan kendala yang dihadapi. Melalui metode penelitian lapangan (Field Research) diperoleh hasil bahwa Kepala Sekolah MTs Keppe Kecamatan Larompong telah menjalankan peran manajerialnya dengan baik. Hal ini dibuktikan bahwa saat ini telah dilaksanakan enam jenis kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yaitu Pramuka, PMR, SSB Si Jagoraga, Drum Band, SPM serta Seni dan Budaya. Selain itu, pemenuhan sarana dan prasarana kegiatan ekstrakurikuler telah dilakukan oleh Kepala Sekolah. Kepala Sekolah juga berperan aktif dalam memonitoring kegiatan mulai dari penunjukkan guru Pembina masing-masing kegiatan, melakukan pengawasan, membuka ranah koordinasi hingga program inovasi pengembangan kegiatan. Adapun faktor kendala yang dihadapi yang dihadapi oleh Kepala Sekolah MTs Keppe Kecamatan Larompong yaitu minimnya dana kegiatan dan kurangnya sumber daya manusia yang kompeten sebagai guru pendamping kegiatan ekstrakurikuler.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the leadership style applied by the head of the National Narcotics Agency in motivating employees on the rehabilitation activities of narcotics abusers in the Primary clinic and to determine the impact of the leadership style that has been applied by the head of the National Narcotics Agency on employees’ performance. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study design, where researchers go directly to the field and socialize with employees and leaders, so the researchers know more deeply about the leadership style of the head of the National Narcotics Agency of the Regency (BNNK) of Batanghari in motivating employees. The leadership style in BNNK Batanghari in improving the employee’s performance is categorized in democratic, charismatic and autocratic. Democratic leadership style and charismatic leadership style are the dominant leadership styles that are applied by the head of BNNK Batanghari. While the autocratic style is only adapted to the situation, the democratic leadership style can be seen by the head of the BNNK opens space for subordinates to submit criticisms and suggestions in making decisions and supports subordinates to develop their potential. Charismatic leadership style is known that the head of the National Narcotics Agency has become a good role model for subordinates to become an admired person. The autocratic leadership style encourages subordinates to discipline in working and completing the work on time. These findings suggest that a leader should maintain what has been achieved, so that the performance of leaders and employees can drive BNNK institutions to be a greater institution. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan oleh kepala BNN dalam memotivasi karyawan pada kegiatan rehabilitasi penyalahguna narkotika di klinik Pratama serta untuk mengetahui dampak yang ditimbulkan dari gaya kepemimpinan yang telah diterapkan kepala BNN terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Dimana peneliti terjun langsung ke lapangan dan bersosialisasi dengan karyawan dan pimpinan, agar peneliti mengetahui secara lebih mendalam tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala BNNK Batanghari dalam memotivasi karyawan. Gaya kepemimpinan kepala BNNK Batanghari dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai adalah gaya kepemimpinan, demokratis, kharismatis dan otokratis. Gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan gaya kepemimpinan kharismatik merupakan gaya kepemimpinan yang dominan yang diterapkan oleh kepala BNN. Sedangkan gaya otokratis hanya disesuaikan dengan situasi yang ada. Gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dapat dilihat bahwa kepala BNN membuka ruang bagi bawahan untuk menyampaikan kritik dan saran dalam membuat keputusan serta mendukung bawahan untuk mengembangkan potensi. Gaya kepemimpinan kharismatik diketahui bahwa kepala BNN menjadi teladan yang baik bagi bawahan sehingga menjadi orang yang dikagumi. Sedangkan gaya kepemimpinan otokratis mendorong bawahan untuk disiplin dalam bekerja dan menyelesaikan pekerjaan tepat waktu. Dari temuan tersebut menyarankan agar seorang pemimpin hendaklah mempertahankan apa yang sudah dicapai saat ini sehingga prestasi kerja pimpinan dan karyawan dapat membawa institusi BNN lebih maju.

Abstract

The issue of quality standards for Malaysian teachers and the moral competency of teachers is a foundational part of the practice of Teacher Quality Standards in Malaysia and are fundamental to the formation of the Malaysian Education Development Plan (MEDP) 2013-2025. This paper discusses the level of teachers' moral competency and Teacher Quality Standards practice based on demographic factors (gender, age, class size, number of subjects taught, and school experience). This quantitative study used cross-sectional survey approach to collect data on current situation of moral competency and Teacher Quality Standards practice. A Stratified random and multistage sampling techniques were used to select 142 samples from the study population of teachers in National schools in Kedah, Perlis and Penang in Malaysia. The instruments used were the Moral Judgment Test (MJT) (Lind, 2000) and the College Teaching Behaviours Inventory (CTBI) (Braxton, & Bayer, 2003). The results showed significant differences in moral competencies based on age, gender, number of subjects taught, and teaching experience, and significant differences in terms of Teacher Quality Standards based on age, teaching experience, and number of subjects taught. These results provided a basic knowledge of the Teacher Quality Standards practice in national schools and its relationship to moral competency based on demographic and experience in school aspects. National school teachers who practiced Teacher Quality Standards demonstrated that they have the capacity for moral competency in self-governance by applying Teacher Quality Standards when making decisions and considerations in selecting ethical practices in developing national education in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Leadership, Work Motivation, Work Discipline and Work Environment on the Performance of Employees of PT. Wingtech Technology Indonesia. In this study were the production employees of PT. Wingtech Technology Indonesia. The data used in this study are primary data by distributing questionnaires to production employees of PT. Wingtech Technology Indonesia. The sample in this study were 82 respondents, the sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection methods in this study were questionnaire and data analysis. Data is processed using SPSS 24, including Validity Test, Reliability Test, Classic Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis and Hypothesis Testing using T Test, F Test and R2 Test.The results of this study indicate that Leadership, Work Motivation, Work Discipline and the Work Environment have a positive and significant impact on Employee Performance at PT. Wingtech Technology Indonesia. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R2) is 0.740, which means that Leadership, Work Motivation, Work Discipline and the Work Environment have a 74% effect on Employee Performance and the remaining 26% is explained by other factors beyond the variables studied. Dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan produksi PT. Wingtech Technology Indonesia. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dengan menyebar kuesioner kepada karyawan produksi PT. Wingtech Technology Indonesia. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 82 responden, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dan analisis data. Data diproses dengan menggunakan SPSS 24, meliputi Uji Validitas, Uji Reliabilitas, Uji Asumsi Klasik, Analisis Regresi Linier Berganda dan Pengujian Hipotesis menggunakan Uji T, Uji F dan Uji R2. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Kepemimpinan, Motivasi Kerja, Disiplin Kerja dan Lingkungan Kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan di PT. Wingtech Technology Indonesia. Koefisien determinasi (Adjusted R2) diperoleh sebesar 0,740 yang berarti Kepemimpinan, Motivasi Kerja, Disiplin Kerja dan Lingkungan Kerja berpengaruh 74% terhadap Kinerja Karyawan dan sisanya 26% dijelaskan faktor-faktor lain diluar variabel yang diteliti.

Abstract

The era of the Covid 19 pandemic has changed the teaching and learning process from the face-to-face stage at school to distance learning at home. This effort is to break the spread of covid 19. Of course a means is needed to support an effective teaching and learning process, this study aims to see the influence of smartphone learning media. on student learning in the Covid 19 pandemic era.The formulation of the problem in this study is to determine the effect of smartphone learning media in the covid-19 pandemic era, the benefits of smartphone learning media in the pandemic era and the obstacles faced by students in the teaching and learning process using smartphones in the current pandemic era . The methodology in this research is descriptive qualitative, with a phenomenological approach. By collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation. From the research results, it was found that smartphone learning media was very influential in the teaching and learning process in the pandemic era, and this is one of the effective media for distance learning as it is today, and the benefits that students get by using smartphones a) as student learning media b). As an information center c). Adding student insight d) and tools to facilitate communication. And the obstacles faced by students a) students have to spend money to buy internet packages when studying b) students who do not have smartphones c) students lack motivation when studying at home. The benefit of this research is to provide information on learning media using smartphones which are very effective in the era of the Covid 19 pandemic. Abstrak. Era pandemin covid 19 telah mengubah proses belajar mengajar dari tahap tatap muka di sekolah hingga belajar jarak jauh dirumah upaya ini untuk memutus ratai penyebaran covid 19. Tentu dibutuhkan sarana untuk menunjang proses belajar mengajar yang efektif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh media belajar smartphone terhadap belajar siswa di era pandemi covid 19. rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh media belajar smartphone di era pandemi covid 19, manfaat media belajar smartphone di era pandemi dan kendala yang dihadapi siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar dengan menggunakan smartphone di era pandemi saat ini. Metodelogi dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan media belajar smartphone sangat berpengaruh dalam proses belajar mengajar di era pandemi, dan ini salah satu media yang efektif untuk belajar jarak jauh seperti saat ini, dan manfaat yang di dapatkan siswa dengan menggunakan smartphone a) sebagai media belajar siswa b). Sebagai pusat informasi c). Menambah wawasan siswa d) dan alat untuk memudah komunikasi. Dan kendala yang dihadapi siswa a) siswa harus mengeluarakan uang untuk menbeli paket internet pada saat belajar b) siswa yang tidak mempunyai smartphone c) kurang motivasi siswa pada saaat belejar di rumah. Manfaat penelitian ini untuk memberi informasi media belajar menggunakan smartphone sangat efektif di era pandemi covid 19.Â
