Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the characteristics and motivations of foreign tourists with their decisions in choosing a hotel as a place to stay. The characteristics analyzed include age, gender, income, and cultural origin, while tourist motivations include recreational, business, health, and cultural purposes. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach, where data is collected from a number of foreign tourists who stay in various types of hotels. The interaction between tourist characteristics and motivations reveals that these factors do not work separately, but influence each other in the decision-making process. Hotels with relevant facilities and good reputations are more likely to be chosen by foreign tourists, especially if they have positive experiences or receive recommendations from third parties. This study concludes that a deep understanding of tourist characteristics and motivations is key for hotels to develop effective marketing strategies and more personalized services.

Abstract

Pharmaceutical services are an important component in the health care system. The role of pharmacists in pharmaceutical services has evolved along with changes in public health needs and developments in science. In order for treatment to be successful, pharmacists advise patients to adopt a healthy lifestyle. They also work with other health professionals to monitor the outcomes of treatment therapy that patients have completed. Pharmacists also consult, educate, and inform patients about the treatment therapy that they are undergoing. This emphasizes that pharmacists should increase their role in interacting with patients, be more oriented towards improving the quality of life of patients, so that the pharmacist's work orientation, which was previously only oriented towards medicine and tended to be behind the scenes, becomes a profession that is responsible for patients. Apart from that, pharmacists also play an important role in supporting the implementation of national health insurance and providing good pharmaceutical services. In managing a pharmacy, pharmacists are required to have knowledge and skills not only in the field of pharmacy, but also in the field of management. This is necessary so that the pharmacy can be managed properly and correctly.

Abstract

Prediabetes is a condition characterized by blood sugar levels that are higher than normal but have not yet reached the threshold for type 2 diabetes. Management of prediabetes through a regular exercise program is claimed to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. This literature research was carried out by reviewing various published empirical studies in health and medical journals in databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and the Cochrane Library. The studies analyzed were those that evaluated the effectiveness of a regular exercise program with a minimum duration of 12 weeks, and compared Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) scores, weight loss, and insulin sensitivity between intervention and control groups among individuals with prediabetes. Findings showed a significant reduction in HbA1c values, improved blood glucose control, and increased insulin sensitivity in individuals who underwent a regular exercise program compared to a control group who did not. It was identified that a combination of aerobic activity and resistance training provided the best benefit in reducing the risk of transition to type 2 diabetes. Regular physical activity plays an important role in combating the global increase in the incidence of type 2 diabetes, especially in individuals with prediabetes. Regularity and intensity of exercise are important factors in determining the success of the intervention. Based on the literature reviewed, a regular exercise program is effective in reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes in individuals with prediabetes. Recommendations for increasing the success of the intervention include creating individualized exercise programs, increasing awareness of the importance of physical activity, and support to maintain patient motivation.
