In addition to original articles, the journal features the following special sections Learning consisting of theoretical and empirical research studies on learning. We invite manuscripts that investigate learning and its change and growth from various lenses, including psychological, social, cognitive, sociohistorical, and affective. Studies examining the relationship of learning to teaching, knowledge, and practices, the learners themselves, and the contexts social, political, physical, ideological, institutional, epistemological, and cultural are similarly welcome. Issues and Trends consisting primarily of analytical, interpretive, or persuasive essays on current educational, social, or philosophical issues and trends relevant to the teaching. This special section particularly seeks to promote informed dialogues about current issues in education, and carefully reasoned papers representing disparate viewpoints are welcome.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the phenomenon that occurs that success in learning is influenced by flexible and regular study time management. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group guidance problem solving techniques to improve student learning time management. The research used quantitative methods, namely experiments. Research subjects class VIII E students at SMP Negeri 2 Moyudan who have been selected according to the sufficient category. Data collection techniques used scale and observation. Data analysis techniques used the T-test formula. The results showed that based on the results of paired samples t-test, pretest and posttest were obtained. sig.(2-tailed) value of 0.000 then compared to the sig. 5% = 0.05, it can be determined that 0.000 < 0.05 means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion is that group guidance services using problem solving techniques is effective to improve student learning time management at SMP Negeri 2 Moyudan.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by mentally retarded children at SKH Negeri 01 Cilegon City is the difficulty in seeking further education guarantees for the development of their abilities or independence as career achievements and talents for themselves, even though every child has their potential. The method used is descriptive qualitative to present a detailed description of the social situation or clarify a phenomenon under study. Data was collected using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted in July-October 2022 with 3 respondents consisting of 3 children, namely IS, SZ, QA, and informants consisting of 3 people, namely class teachers, school principals, and parents of mentally retarded children. The conclusions of this study: 1) Planning for career guidance for mentally retarded children at SKH Cilegon City is in accordance with existing procedures and services. 2) The implementation of career guidance for mentally retarded children at SKH Cilegon City is carried out according to a predetermined time with several activities, namely music, singing, swimming, cooking, batik and others. 3) Evaluation at SKH Cilegon City, namely by looking at the child’s development, ability, and independence, and always paying attention to the results of all career guidance programs. 4) Supporting factors, namely: from educators, students and infrastructure.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' opinions of the counseling teacher's efforts to improve the learning outcomes of low achieving students . The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with the technique of collecting funds using a questionnaire or questionnaire. The study population was all students of grades X and XI SMA Adabiah Padang totaling 575. The sample was drawn using a purposive sampling technique and was represented by 51 students. The results showed that the social self-concept of the youth at the Tunas Bangsa orphanage in Solok City in the orphanage environment was in the high category on average . This means that the views or assessments of the orphanage adolescents on their ability to interact with the leadership of the orphanage, the caretaker of the orphanage, and friends who live in the orphanage are positive. The social self-concept of the youth at the Tunas Bangsa orphanage in Solok City in the average school environment is in the high category . This means that the views or assessments of orphanage adolescents on their ability to interact with teachers, school personnel and friends at school are positive.

Abstract

Families, especially parents , give an example to their children and also give good treatment to the children in learning in order to obtain a good learning result and can achieve the desired goals, and can be useful for their families in the days to come. However, of the phenomena that occur in the field can be seen many deviations behavior of children and adolescents . One reason is the lack of parenting good parenting on children , such as failure to adequately monitor children , disciplining children are less effective, and the lack of parental affection to their children and lack of responsibility to provide for the actions of their children. This study classified quantitative descriptive correlational study. This sample is 2 Padang SMP students numbering 125 people. This research instruments such as questionnaires about parenting parents and student learning outcomes in the form of grades 1 semester of school year 2013/2014. Data were analyzed using statistical techniques Product Moment Correlation through assistance programs Microsoft Office Excel and SPSS version 16.0

Abstract

The level of student learning outcomes is influenced by the readiness of students to take the exam. This study aims to examine the relationship between learning motivation and students' readiness to take exams. This research uses descriptive correlational method, data collection uses a questionnaire and is analyzed using the percentage formula and correlation test using SPSS 20.00. the sample is 72 with the sampling method using simple random sampling technique. The results of the study (1) the results of research findings on students' learning motivation are classified as moderate. (2) The research findings regarding students' readiness to take exams are classified as moderate , (3) there is a significant relationship between students' learning motivation and students' readiness to take exams. The implication of this research is that counselors provide guidance and counseling services that can minimize students who lack motivation to learn, so that students can develop their potential. The services that can be provided are information services, group counseling services, individual counseling services and other Counseling Guidance services. Then the school principal is to provide a minimum of 2 (two) hours per week for each class used by the counseling teacher to carry out the above activities.

Abstract

Although numerous countries have conducted studies on the function of school principals as supervisors, some principals, instructors, and even supervisors lack a thorough understanding of academic supervision. In the Province of Indonesian East Kalimantan, this study intends to examine the principal's function as a planner for academic supervision in the implementation of the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT) curriculum. The headmaster, a vice principal, and two teachers were all participants in the qualitative interview process used in this study. Thematic and interpretive analysis was done on the interview data. According to research findings, the JSIT curriculum was implemented successfully in the province of East Kalimantan by using school principals as academic supervision planners. Compiling the program, compiling and scheduling the implementation of academic supervision, and creating supervision tools in accordance with the JSIT curriculum are the three stages that make up the planning process

Abstract

Independent students are inherently capable of self-management, not relying on emotional support from others, especially parents, able to make independent decisions, and possess a strong set of principles. Furthermore, the objectives of this research are as follows: 1) to determine the level of independence among local students at FKIP USK, 2) to determine the level of independence among non-local students at FKIP USK, 3) to identify the differences in independence between local and non- local students at FKIP USK. This research employs a quantitative approach with a comparative research design. The population of this study consists of active S1 FKIP USK students from the 2022 cohort, who come from outside the Aceh province and do not live with family members or relatives (for local students), as well as those who reside in and originate from Banda Aceh or live with their parents (for non-local students), totaling 425 students. The research sample comprises 133 FKIP USK students, with 60 local students and 73 non-local students, selected using a simple random sampling technique. Based on the research findings, it was known that the level of independence among local students predominantly falls into the high category (60%), while independence among non-local students predominantly falls into the moderate category (49%). The research results show an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.026 ˂ 0.05, indicating that there was a difference in independence between local and non- local students at FKIP USK, as evidenced by the detailed mean rank values, with local students (75.18) having a higher mean rank than non-local students (60.27). Therefore, it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this research is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital classroom to improve the foreign language skills of MA MUQ Langsa students in facing digital-based learning challenges according to the demands of the 21st century. To find out the effectiveness of using digital classes in foreign language learning. The method in this study is the research and development (R&D) method. The results of this study were testing foreign language learning materials with a score of 4.00 (good category) and media testing with media experts obtained a score of 4.00 (good category). Meanwhile, for random testing of students, a score of 4.00 (good category) was obtained. The average score obtained at the pretest was 38.88 and the posttest was 39.00. So that it can be explained from the results of alpha and beta testing and seeing the effectiveness of product development, it can be concluded that the product is feasible and effective for learning foreign languages. This of course will be very beneficial for teachers in transferring teaching materials and providing innovation in student learning spaces.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes for passing in class body weight position is not forward. The aim of this research is to find out whether the use of the command learning method can improve the learning outcomes of basic passing techniques for mentally retarded children. The population and sample in this study were students with intellectual disabilities in class X SMALB, totaling 4 students. This research is Classroom Action Research. The data collection techniques used were performance tests, student and teacher observation sheets. Data were analyzed by exposure between cycles. Based on the initial data results, the average student score was 65.25. Learning improvements in cycle I, the average student score rose to 75.5 or 10.25%. Learning improvements in cycle II saw an increase in the average student score by 81 or an increase of 5.5%. The research results in cycle II showed that there was a significant increase in classical completeness compared to cycle I with scores having reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM 75).

Abstract

The use of gadgets can have a positive impact on children, but it does not rule out the possibility that gadgets can also have many negative impacts on children's character, such as the impressions given to children. Therefore, assistance and supervision is needed in selecting shows given to children, namely through the animated films Nussa and Rara. The aim of this research is to determine the cultivation of character in early childhood through the animated film Nussa and Rara in Sukaraja village, Cikeusal subdistrict, Serang-Banten regency. The method in this research was Qualitative Descriptive. Therefore, the data were taken using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Interactive models adapted from Milles and Huberman, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions was used as the technique of data analysis. As a conclusion, the results obtained show that the character cultivation in children has been well ingrained in accordance with the indicators that have been determined, including 5 children developing according to expectations, 1 child starting to develop, and 1 child still needs help. Success in instilling character in children can be found when character values ​​are manifested and developed in the child's behavior in everyday life in accordance with the goals of character education.
