Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the character formation of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) and the cognitive learning outcomes of students in Catholic Religious Education and Character Education lessons on the material of equality between women and men, so that they can act correctly and appropriately through the project based learning model. This study is a classroom action research involving 7 Catholic students in phase C class 5 at SDN 101845 Sukamakmur in the 2024/2025 school year. This study was conducted in 2 learning cycles. Data collected with observation guidelines and through written tests in each cycle and analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study showed that in cycle I the average percentage of P3 character formation was 70.7 with an average cognitive learning outcome of 80 with classical completeness of cognitive learning outcomes obtained at 71.43%. In cycle II, the average percentage of character formation of P3 was 85.2 with an average cognitive learning outcome of 97.1 with classical completion of cognitive learning outcomes obtained at 100%. Thus, the application of the use of project-based learning models assisted by audio-visual media can improve the formation of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) character and cognitive learning outcomes of students.

Abstract

This research aims to improve learning outcomes and the character of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) in the critical reasoning dimension through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with the help of snakes and ladders interactive media in the subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Character. The research was conducted in two cycles at SDN 07 Sintang with material on rights and obligations as well as pride as an Indonesian nation. Cycle I was carried out on September 12 2024 for 3 x 45 minutes. Based on the results of the first cycle of observations, it appears that the character of the Pancasila Student Profile in the critical reasoning dimension has emerged, but still needs improvement. There is one student in the advanced category, five students are proficient, six students are eligible, and one student is developing. The average post-test score for cycle I reached 73. In cycle II, which was also held on September 12 2024, there was a significant increase in critical reasoning character and learning outcomes. There is increased interaction between teachers and students as well as between students, which encourages better understanding of the material. The average post-test score increased to 83, with an increase of 10% for students who needed more attention. Thus, the use of PBL assisted by snakes and ladders media has proven to be effective in improving learning outcomes and student character in the subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Character

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes at SMA Katolik Cinta Kasih in Tebing Tinggi through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The background of this research is based on the issue of low student success rates in conventional learning, characterized by a lack of active participation and understanding of concepts. PBL was chosen as it encourages students to be more critical, analytical, and independent in solving real-world problems. This research employed a quasi-experimental approach, involving two classes as samples. The results showed that the implementation of PBL significantly improved student learning outcomes compared to traditional teaching methods. Additionally, PBL was proven effective in increasing student motivation and engagement during the learning process. Therefore, PBL is recommended as a learning strategy to enhance student success at SMA Katolik Cinta Kasih, Tebing Tinggi in catholic Religius Education subject.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of Catholic students in Catholic Religion lessons in class X with the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audio visual. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two learning cycles. The research subjects were 15 Catholic students in class X DKV SMK Negeri IV SPP-SPMA Singkawang. To determine the achievement of student learning outcomes, researchers used written tests as a measuring tool. Meanwhile, to determine the learning outcomes of Pancasila students' profile in the dimension of critical reasoning, observation techniques were used. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes by using problem-based learning, both cognitive and affective. Data on student cognitive learning outcomes, in cycle I the average value was 74%. Experienced an increase in cycle II to 83%. Data from the observation of the Pancasila learner profile of the critical reasoning dimension in cycles I and II showed an increase. Where in cycle I the average value was only 71%, it increased in cycle II by 82%. So, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem based learning model assisted by audio visual can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This classroom action research evaluates the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in improving critical thinking skills in Catholic Religious Education (PAK) learning in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Tanjungpinang. Involving 13 students in two cycles, the research used quantitative and qualitative methods. The research results showed significant improvements in cognitive and affective aspects. The average cognitive score increased from 71 in the pre-cycle to 86.6 in the second cycle, with learning completeness reaching 100% from initially only 15.38%. The average affective score also increased from 74 in the first cycle to 84 in the second cycle. Observations indicated increased student engagement in discussions, reflecting development of critical thinking skills. This research concludes the effectiveness of PBL in improving critical thinking skills and PAK learning outcomes, recommending wider application and further research.

Abstract

In this digital era, humans are very dependent on technology, especially gadgets that are very popular among various groups. The digital era has provided many conveniences. This article uses a library research method by utilizing articles, journals, books, and internet access as sources. This study aims to use the Canva application to make it easier for users to use applications that can help users to design various types of material online from greeting cards, posters, brochures, infographics to presentation media. Canva is not complicated because it has provided various sizes to templates for the designs that users want, and can be adapted to the purpose of making designs. The conclusions obtained in this research are that the Canva application is one of the media that can support the learning process visually and train visual literacy skills for users in this digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the use of the PBL learning model with Canva media can increase student learning motivation, which is indicated by increased interest, active participation, and enthusiasm of students in participating in learning activities through the PBL model in students at SMA Negeri 1 Prambanan. This type of research is classroom action research with research steps, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in each cycle. This study consists of two cycles. The research location is at SMA Negeri 1 Prambanan Sleman in Phase F students. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires and interviews. The results of the study in cycle 1 can be concluded that student motivation gets the criteria "good". This can be used as one of the benchmarks that learning activities with Problem Based Learning are good but need to be improved in asking questions to analyze critically, courage in conveying information, cooperation in groups, courage in expressing opinions and explaining reasons that support their thoughts. The results of the study in cycle II can be concluded that student activities get the criteria "very good". This can be used as one of the benchmarks that Problem Based Learning learning activities with Canva media are good and have increased compared to the first cycle. Based on the data obtained from the tests given to students in cycle 1, it was found that 66.6% of students were proficient and 33.3% of students were competent through the Problem Based Learning method. The desired achievement from this learning model in the second cycle is proficient 40%, proficient 50%, decent 10% and not yet developed 0%. The percentage of proficient students increased with the tests conducted in the second cycle, there was an increase in the percentage of proficient students. In cycle 1, the learning achievement was proficient 16.6% and proficient 83.3%. While in the second cycle, students who were proficient were 66.6% and proficient 33.3%. Looking at the learning outcomes in cycles 1 and 2, it can be seen that problem based learning was successful in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education (PAK) for 5th-grade students at SD Negeri 17 Rabak through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with innovative media. The PBL model encourages students to actively solve real-life problems, while innovative media enhances their interest and motivation to learn. Using a classroom action research (CAR) method involving 10 students, the results showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes from cycle I (71.2) to cycle II (82.8). Additionally, students' collaboration skills, critical thinking, and self-confidence also improved. The innovative media proved effective in deepening understanding and increasing student participation.

Abstract

This Class Action Research aims to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics (PAKBP) through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method with audio-visual media on the material "I Am a Unique Person." The subjects of the study were five fourth grade students of SD Negeri 101808 Candirejo, which showed low learning outcomes in this material. The research was carried out in two cycles, each through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In Cycle I, the average grade of the class increased from 65.4 to 71.8, but did not meet the success criteria. After improvements in Cycle II, including improvements in the quality of media and facilitation, learning outcomes improved with an average class score of 82.8 and 100% learning completion. PBL and audio-visual media have proven to be effective in strengthening the understanding and internalization of the value of self-uniqueness. Recommendations include expanding PBL implementation, media development, teacher training, follow-up research, and collaboration with parents and the church community.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class VII students in the Catholic Religious Education subject at SMP Negeri 2 Tarutung. There were 1 female and 7 male students who were research subjects in an effort to implement a problem-based learning model (Problem Based Learning). The research results showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after implementing the PBL learning model. In cycle I, the average student score was 71.25 with an achievement category of 2 adequate students and 6 proficient students. This indicates that there are still some students who have not achieved the expected competency. By implementing PBL more intensively and providing more targeted guidance, student learning outcomes have increased quite significantly. In cycle II, the average student score increased to 87.50 with the achievement category being 2 proficient students and 6 proficient students. This increase in learning outcomes shows that the PBL learning model is effective in increasing students' understanding of the Catholic Religious Education material I Have the Capabilities.
