Abstract

The background of this research is based on the importance of religious character education from an early age as a moral and spiritual foundation, in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System and Permendikbud Number 137 of 2014 concerning National Standards for Early Childhood Education. This study aims to describe the strategies of Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) teachers in shaping the religious character of young children in the Society 5.0 era. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of PAUD teachers. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity testing using source and method triangulation. The research results indicate that teachers' strategies include (1) setting an example, such as greeting others, praying before and after activities, speaking politely, and dressing according to Islamic law; (2) habit formation, such as praying before meals, reciting prayers before and after learning, and performing congregational dhuha prayers; and (3) reinforcing religious values in learning through storytelling and the use of religious songs. These strategies are effective in fostering consistent religious behavior in children, are relevant to learning needs in the Society 5.0 era, and can be adapted in both school and home environments.

Abstract

PGMI teachers play a strategic role in shaping children's character and instilling values of tolerance through learning and role modeling in the elementary school environment. This study aims to describe how PGMI teachers play a role in instilling values of tolerance in students at MI 0723 Parmainan. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Research informants consist of several classroom teachers and subject teachers. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that teachers instill tolerance values through a multicultural education approach and contextual learning strategies, such as group discussions, case studies, picture stories, and the integration of values into subjects like Civic Education, Social Studies, and Islamic Education. Teachers also emphasize the importance of respecting differences, building empathy, and fostering mutual respect in the school environment. These findings confirm that the instillation of tolerance values can be done flexibly, integrally, and contextually through various learning activities in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the importance of saving from an early age at Parmainan 0723 Elementary School. The background of this study stems from the phenomenon of low interest in saving among elementary school children, who tend to be more interested in consumptive behavior than preparing for the future. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with teachers, students, and parents. The results show that school savings programs play a significant role in developing a thrifty character, fostering discipline, and teaching financial management from an early age. Key supporting factors include teacher support, parental involvement, and easily accessible school savings facilities. However, obstacles were also identified, such as children's low understanding of the benefits of saving, the influence of a consumerist environment, and a lack of intensive outreach from the school. Savings programs packaged with creative methods, such as savings competitions or savings with prizes, have been shown to increase student participation. In conclusion, the habit of saving from an early age has a positive impact on children's character development, particularly in terms of discipline and financial planning. It is recommended that schools collaborate with banks or school cooperatives to provide more attractive savings facilities and actively involve parents in the process of fostering students' savings habits.

Abstract

Indonesia, located within the Pacific Ring of Fire, is highly vulnerable to earthquakes. This disaster risk is exacerbated by the low level of community preparedness, particularly in Tegaltirto Village, where the majority of residents work as farmers, laborers, or livestock breeders with limited education and disaster knowledge. A community service program conducted by the Civil Engineering Department of Universitas Madani aimed to empower women, especially mothers, as the frontline of family-based earthquake mitigation. The program was implemented through socialization, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and post-activity mentoring. Initial surveys revealed that 85% of participants had minimal knowledge of practical earthquake mitigation measures. After the program, post-test scores increased by 72%, indicating a significant improvement in both theoretical understanding and practical skills, particularly in preparing emergency kits. These findings highlight that participatory methods combined with practical learning effectively promote transformative learning and enhance community preparedness. Therefore, similar training programs should be carried out sustainably with support from local authorities and community leaders to foster a culture of disaster preparedness at the family level.

Abstract

The tourism and hospitality industry is a strategic sector that contributes significantly to regional economic growth. However, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in this sector still face substantial challenges in financial management, ranging from limited financial literacy and inefficient budget utilization to the lack of digital technology adoption. These issues result in low operational efficiency and weak business competitiveness. To address these challenges, this community service research developed an Android-based application by adopting the Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) and Zero Based Modeling (ZBM) approaches. Android was chosen as the initial development platform, as it is the most widely used and accessible system among MSMEs in Indonesia. The main features of the application include zero-based budgeting, daily transaction recording, automated financial reporting, budget utilization notifications, and educational modules on ZBB/ZBM concepts. The development process was carried out through a participatory approach in collaboration with MSME partners in Bandung Regency (West Java) and Luwu Regency (South Sulawesi). The research methodology combined the ZBB application development framework for the tourism sector, the systematic waterfall model, and the analysis–design–implementation principles in digital application development. Preliminary testing results indicate that the Android application successfully improves financial understanding, facilitates budget planning, and enables MSMEs to monitor cash flow in real time. Thus, the application functions not only as a financial recording tool but also as a digital learning medium that strengthens the sustainability and competitiveness of hospitality MSMEs in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat desa melalui pemanfaatan limbah minyak jelantah memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan ekonomi kreatif sekaligus menjaga lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan pembuatan lilin aromaterapi dari minyak jelantah dan pemasaran produk secara online menggunakan aplikasi Shopee di Desa Tambakan, Klaten. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) dengan tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan keterampilan produksi dan manajerial, serta pelatihan pemasaran digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kemampuan teknis peserta dalam produksi lilin serta kemampuan pemasaran digital yang tercermin dari 80% peserta memiliki dan mengelola toko online aktif. Selain meningkatkan pendapatan, pelatihan ini juga berhasil mendorong terciptanya kelompok usaha bersama dan meningkatkan literasi digital masyarakat. Integrasi produksi berbasis aset dan pemasaran digital efektif dalam memberdayakan masyarakat desa secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The 2025 Regular Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) program is being carried out in Bukit Rawi village, Kahayan Tengah subdistrict, Pulang Pisau Regency. The main focus is on using biopori holes and making organic compost to improve soil fertility. The methods used include educating the community, providing training, and offering direct support. The results show that residents have gained more knowledge and skills in turning organic waste into compost. Seven active biopori holes have been created on household and demonstration lands. The community participation was very high, especially from farmers' groups and housewives. This activity is hoped to be continued independently by the community and to serve as a model for other villages in Kahayan Tengah subdistrict.

Abstract

Minyak jelantah merupakan limbah rumah tangga yang jumlahnya terus meningkat akibat tingginya konsumsi minyak goreng di masyarakat. Penggunaan berulang tanpa pengelolaan yang tepat menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi kesehatan maupun lingkungan. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, KKN UNS 2025 Kelompok 293 melaksanakan program pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Purworejo, Kecamatan Gemolong, Kabupaten Sragen, dengan tujuan mengedukasi masyarakat terkait pemanfaatan minyak jelantah menjadi produk bernilai tambah berupa lilin aromaterapi. Metode kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi mengenai dampak minyak jelantah, pelatihan pembuatan lilin aromaterapi, serta edukasi pengemasan dan branding produk. Sasaran kegiatan adalah ibu-ibu PKK Desa Purworejo dengan jumlah peserta sekitar 50 orang. Pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui praktik langsung pembuatan lilin aromaterapi berbahan dasar minyak jelantah, didampingi mahasiswa KKN. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tingginya antusiasme peserta, ditandai dengan keterlibatan aktif dalam proses produksi dan diskusi. Peserta memperoleh keterampilan baru dalam pengolahan limbah minyak jelantah, pemahaman pentingnya pengemasan, serta motivasi untuk mengembangkan usaha kreatif berbasis produk ramah lingkungan. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai dampak minyak jelantah sekaligus memberikan solusi pengelolaan limbah yang bermanfaat secara ekonomi maupun lingkungan melalui inovasi lilin aromaterapi.

Abstract

Ketahanan pangan merupakan aspek penting dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, terutama di Desa Jemur yang memiliki keterbatasan lahan dan rendahnya kesadaran pemanfaatan pekarangan. Kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) ini bertujuan memberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan budidaya tanaman hortikultura berupa sayuran dan rempah khasiat obat dengan sistem vertikultur sebagai solusi alternatif. Metode yang dilakukan meliputi penyemaian bibit, sosialisasi kepada masyarakat, serta demonstrasi pembuatan vertikultur dengan memanfaatkan limbah plastik rumah tangga. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat, khususnya ibu-ibu PKK, dalam memanfaatkan lahan sempit untuk budidaya, sekaligus mendukung ketahanan pangan, mengurangi limbah plastik, dan berpotensi meningkatkan perekonomian melalui pemanfaatan hasil panen.

Abstract

The phenomenon of elopement (marlojong) still frequently occurs in Parmainan society. This practice occurs when a woman is taken away to elope (marlojong) by another man. Prior to the elopement (marlojong), the woman had already been betrothed according to custom by another man. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the resolution of elopement (marlojong) cases through traditional means is carried out through several mechanisms: First, through peaceful family and traditional channels. Second, through a marriage agreement to pay double the fine as a form of accountability. Third, if unsuccessful, they marry secretly. Fourth, some seek a marriage guardian in another location with a judge as the guardian. Meanwhile, the resolution of elopement cases (marlojong) through religious means has two approaches: First, through legal channels using a judge as the guardian if there is no parental consent. Second, the woman who eloped (marlojong) is separated from the man who took her away. Subsequently, the woman is married to her cousin according to the family's decision. From the perspective of local religious scholars, the resolution of elopement (marlojong) in Paramai fundamentally violates religious principles because it involves taking someone else's child to another place without parental consent (guardian). From an Islamic legal standpoint, the practice of elopement (marlojong) in Paraminan contradicts Islamic law.
