Abstract

This study discusses legal protection for Batak Toba women subjected to patriarchal inheritance practices. The patrilineal system places men as the sole heirs, while women—especially daughters and widows—receive only limited rights before marriage. This practice contradicts the principle of equality guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), ratified through Law No. 7 of 1984. The study aims to analyze the legal consequences of inheritance-based gender discrimination and identify forms of fair legal protection for women. A normative juridical approach is employed through literature review and field interviews. Findings reveal that discriminatory inheritance practices risk triggering agrarian conflicts and economic marginalization. Implementation of legal protection at the local level remains weak due to dominant customary norms and low public legal awareness. Therefore, harmonization between customary, national, and international law, along with community education, is needed to ensure gender justice and effective legal protection for Batak Toba women.

Abstract

Hipertensi sebagai salah satu permasalahan di dunia. Hipertensi tidak dapat disembuhkan melainkan dicegah sedini mungkin. Salah satu pencegahan hipertensi secara dini berupa penilaian awal menggunakan sistem skoring dalam memprediksi hipertensi berupa Early Detection of Hypertension Score. Sistem ini kemudian dikembangkan untuk masyarakat dalam bentuk ebook. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang hipertensi setelah diberikan edukasi dengan Ebook EDH Score. Kegiatan ini mengukur pengetahuan tentang hipertensi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi dalam bentuk Ebook EDH Score. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat didapatkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyakit hipertensi setelah diberikan edukasi. Abstract

Public awareness of early breast cancer detection remains low. A record 53.7% of the population has never performed breast self-examination (BSE). BSE is one method for early breast cancer detection. While standing upright facing a mirror, systematically palpate and observe the breasts. BSE is performed routinely every month, on the 7th-10th day after menstruation. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and sources of information and breast self-examination among adolescent girls in Hamlet II, Bawoza'ua Village. Method: This study used an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach, using chi-square data analysis at a 95% confidence level. Primary data collection involved distributing questionnaires directly to adolescents, a sample of 30 respondents. Result : The results of the study showed a relationship between knowledge and breast self-examination (p-value = 0.005 < (α 0.05), attitude and breast self-examination (p-value = 0.000 < (α 0.05), and information sources and breast self-examination (p-value = 0.000 < (α 0.05).Conclusion : The study concluded that there was a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and information sources and breast self-examination in Bawozau'ua Village, Nias, in 2025.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertema “Kegiatan Bersih – Bersih Sungai Unus di Kota Mataram Dalam Menjaga Kelestarian Lingkungan”. Tujuan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini, untuk mencegah terjadinya banjir dengan menghilangkan sampah yang menyumbat aliran air, menjaga kebersihan dan kesehatan ekosistem sungai serta meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya tidak membuang sampah sembarangan ke sungai. Pengabdiaan Masyarakat ini, menggunakan dua metode dalam pelaksanaannya yaitu: (1) Persiapan Kegiatan Bersih – Bersih Sungai Unus di Kota Mataram, (2) Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Bersih – Bersih Sungai Unus di Kota Mataram yang sangat bermanfaat untuk mencegah terjadinya banjir, menjaga kebersihan dan kesehatan ekosistem sungai serta meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya tidak membuang sampah sembarangan ke sungai. Kegiatan bersih – bersih Sungai Unus di Kota Mataram ini, menjadi sarana untuk mempererat kerjasama antar pemerintah dan warga masyarakat dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into English Language Teaching (ELT) has transformed education into a more flexible and engaging learning environment. ICT enables both teachers and students to access information, interact, and collaborate more effectively. This study explores the ways ICT is applied in English classrooms, its impact on students’ engagement and learning outcomes, and the challenges teachers face in implementing ICT-based instruction. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research involved two English teachers and thirty vocational students from SMK YPIP Talang Ubi. Data were gathered through interviews, classroom observations, and questionnaires. The findings show that ICT helps increase students’ motivation, participation, and comprehension, especially through tools such as Google Classroom, YouTube, Quizizz, and Padlet. However, teachers still struggle with limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, and unstable internet access. The study concludes that ICT integration is essential in modern ELT but requires adequate training, institutional support, and technological readiness to be effective.

Abstract

This community service research aims to optimize the role of local leaders and the Village Head in strengthening community-based tourism education in Malaus Village. The initiative responds to the limited tourism literacy among residents and the lack of effective coordination within local leadership in developing the village dam as both an educational and recreational site. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the village head, RT/RW leaders, fish-cage managers, youth groups, and community members as key informants. The findings reveal that local leaders act as social facilitators who successfully mobilize community participation, while the Village Head provides policy legitimacy and structured direction for tourism development. Student involvement serves as a catalyst that enhances practical educational activities, including site cleaning, environmental arrangement, and digital content training for local youth. The results indicate that the success of tourism education is strongly influenced by active local leadership, community social capital, and synergy among village stakeholders.

Abstract

Workplace bullying remains a significant issue, particularly among early adults who are entering the workforce. This study aims to describe the tendency of early adults to engage in workplace bullying. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the study involved 103 workers aged 18–40 years in Jakarta, selected through purposive sampling. The modified NAQ-R instrument was used, consisting of 22 valid items (r = 0.418–0.936) with very high reliability (α = 0.959). The findings show that 67.0% of respondents have a low tendency to engage in bullying, while 33.0% fall into the high category. Both men and women exhibit similarly low tendencies. The most frequent forms of bullying reported relate to personal and work-related aspects. Civil servants and individuals with 2–4 years of tenure demonstrate higher bullying tendencies compared to other groups. Position and ethnicity do not indicate significant differences in bullying tendencies.

Abstract

Increasingly fierce market competition, driven by digitalization and social connectivity, places Brand Trust as the most critical non-financial asset an organization possesses. Brand Trust has long been proven to directly influence Customer Satisfaction because it reduces risk and uncertainty in purchasing decisions and service usage. However, the digital era has introduced a new dynamic variable, namely User Generated Content (UGC)- content created by consumers (such as reviews, testimonials, unboxing vlogs , and social media comments) rather than by the brand itself—which serves as a source of information that is inherently perceived as more credible and authentic. This study aims to examine and analyze the role of UGC as a moderating variable in the causal relationship between Brand Trust and Customer Satisfaction, specifically in the context of the [Specify specific context, e.g., e-commerce or hospitality industry] market. Using a quantitative approach with a hierarchical regression model (Moderated Regression Analysis), this study tests the hypothesis that the positive impact of Brand Trust on Customer Satisfaction will be strengthened (positive moderation) when Customers are exposed to high and consistent volume and quality of UGC, or conversely, the impact can be weakened by negative UGC.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran filsafat ilmu sebagai landasan pengembangan ilmu pendidikan di era digital yang ditandai oleh perubahan cepat dalam akses, penyampaian, dan validitas pengetahuan. Transformasi digital telah membawa kemudahan dalam pembelajaran, namun temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik pendidikan masih menghadapi kelemahan mendasar dalam memahami aspek ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi pengetahuan. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini menggali perspektif pendidik, ahli filsafat, dan praktisi teknologi untuk memahami bagaimana prinsip keilmuan diterapkan dalam konteks pendidikan digital. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya didukung pemahaman filosofis yang memadai sehingga berdampak pada lemahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis, literasi digital, dan kedalaman makna pembelajaran. Kurikulum dan pelatihan guru juga ditemukan masih berorientasi pada aspek teknis dan belum mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai filosofis secara komprehensif. Pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa filsafat ilmu memiliki peran penting dalam memastikan arah, makna, dan kualitas pendidikan di tengah arus digitalisasi. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa reformasi pendidikan digital perlu diarahkan pada penguatan prinsip keilmuan agar teknologi tidak hanya menjadi alat, tetapi juga sarana pembentukan pemahaman yang reflektif dan kritis. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan kurikulum, strategi pembelajaran, dan kebijakan pendidikan berbasis landasan filosofis di era digital.

Abstract

Kegiatan monitoring dan pengawasan cetak sawah di Desa Bina Mekar, Kabupaten Kapuas, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah, bertujuan memastikan kesesuaian pelaksanaan program perluasan lahan pertanian dalam rangka mendukung ketahanan pangan daerah. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, kegiatan ini menilai ketepatan pekerjaan terhadap rencana teknis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pembukaan dan penataan lahan sebagian besar telah sesuai standar, didukung verifikasi luasan berbasis GPS serta peningkatan fungsi saluran irigasi. Partisipasi petani meningkat melalui pendampingan teknis terkait pengelolaan air dan lahan rawa. Dokumentasi lapangan yang tersusun sistematis menjadi dasar evaluasi dan pembinaan lanjutan. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini meningkatkan kualitas pelaksanaan dan keberlanjutan program cetak sawah.
