Abstract

Stunting is one of the chronic nutrition problems in Indonesia that impacts the quality of child development and can reduce the nation's competitiveness in the long run, thus requiring comprehensive and sustainable preventive efforts. This community service activity is organised with the aim of increasing knowledge and raising awareness among residents regarding the importance of stunting prevention through balanced nutrition education and strengthening the health of pregnant women. This programme is conducted in Legok Klaer Village, Cicaruy Hamlet, Sumedang Regency, involving 34 mothers with toddlers. The methods used include the distribution of materials using posters and brochures, interactive discussions, anthropometric examinations, and assistance in preparing balanced nutrition menus. The series of activities is reinforced through the implementation of Healthy Kitchens to Address Stunting (DASHAT), Stunting Consultative Forums, and Prenatal Yoga Practices aimed at improving the physical and psychological health of pregnant women. The results indicate an improvement in participants' understanding, as seen from their ability to answer questions more accurately and provide examples of balanced nutrition application in daily life. Furthermore, Prenatal Yoga attended by pregnant women has proven beneficial for psychological calmness and physical fitness. The success of this program is closely linked to the active involvement of the community, the role of posyandu cadres, and the support of the village government. Therefore, the combination of nutrition education, nutritious food practices, and strengthening the health of pregnant women through the prenatal yoga program can be considered an effective comprehensive strategy in efforts to reduce stunting rates at the village level.

Abstract

Household waste management in Citepok Village, Paseh District, Sumedang Regency, faces significant challenges, particularly due to the absence of a Temporary Disposal Site (TPS), leading residents to open burning practices. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Low-Smoke Waste Bin System (SiTomas), evaluate its effectiveness in reducing smoke emissions, and assess community acceptance of this innovation. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed with research subjects including residents as users, village officials as supervisors, and us as students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung facilitating the SiTomas implementation. Research procedures involved preparation, socialization, implementation, assistance, and evaluation. Results showed that after the SiTomas use, smoke intensity significantly decreased, community participation increased, and collective awareness of waste management improved compared to pre-implementation conditions. The implementation of this system enhanced local air quality, reinforced social responsibility culture, and provided a replicable model for sustainable waste management in other villages.

Abstract

Adolescents need balanced nutritional intake that is useful for optimizing growth and development, adolescents are classified as a vulnerable group for malnutrition, one of which is anemia. This community service was carried out at SMPN 1 CIMALAKA in 2025, with data based on SKI in 2023, namely 15.5% of anemia sufferers in Indonesia. One of the problems of anemia in adolescents is the lack of understanding in prevention efforts in adolescents. The method used is the lecture method, namely by explaining in a structured manner, and evaluation is carried out after the delivery of the material by asking random participants regarding the understanding of the counseling material. The delivery of alternative drink innovations to increase iron intake in the body is ABC smoothies with papaya and banana as the basic ingredients, with honey as a sweetener. Smoothies as one of the non-pharmacological approaches carried out as a preventive effort in overcoming anemia in adolescents. The increase in understanding regarding anemia in SMPN 1 CIMALAKA students was assessed subjectively by assessing a sampling of 3 participants to re-explain the counseling material and in accordance with what was conveyed. The innovation of alternative ABC smoothie drinks can be a non-pharmacological measure to increase iron intake into the body.

Abstract

Anxiety can occur in patients with hypertension. A patient with hypertension may experience anxiety because hypertension tends to require relatively long-term treatment, carries a risk of complications, and can shorten life expectancy. The purpose of this study was to identify nursing care for elderly patients with hypertension who have anxiety-related nursing problems. Methods this study used a case study approach with two hypertensive patients with anxiety nursing problems as subjects. Nursing interventions were carried out for 3 days using Murottal Al-qur'an therapy from Surah Al-Kahfi. Data collection was obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The instrument used was a medical-surgical nursing care format. The results of this study showed that the assessment found similarities in both patients, namely that they were worried about their illness. The nursing diagnosis found the main problem to be anxiety in both patients. The researcher adjusted the intervention according to the SLKI and SIKI books. The implementation used Al-Quran Murottal therapy from Surah Al-Kahfi, which was carried out for 3 days. and in the evaluation, the problem was resolved on the third day with a decrease in anxiety levels. The administration of Al-Kahfi Quran recitation therapy was proven to reduce anxiety in hypertensive patients and can be applied to other elderly hypertensive patients.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru SD di Sekolah Indonesia Kota Kinabalu mengenai konsep dan implementasi pembelajaran mendalam sebagai pendekatan yang menekankan proses berpikir kritis, pemaknaan, serta keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), yaitu pendekatan pemberdayaan yang menempatkan peserta sebagai pihak utama yang memahami kebutuhan, permasalahan, dan potensi mereka sendiri. Melalui metode PRA, guru terlibat aktif dalam proses identifikasi kebutuhan, analisis permasalahan, perumusan solusi, hingga penerapan strategi pembelajaran mendalam secara kolaboratif. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui tahapan pemetaan kebutuhan guru, diskusi partisipatif, lokakarya penyusunan perencanaan pembelajaran, praktik implementasi, serta refleksi bersama untuk mengevaluasi hasil. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan pada seluruh peserta. Dari 47 guru yang terlibat, 30 guru berada pada kategori pemahaman sangat baik, 12 guru dalam kategori baik, dan 5 guru berada pada kategori cukup baik, sedangkan tidak ada guru yang menunjukkan pemahaman kurang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode PRA efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual guru, kemampuan merancang pembelajaran, serta keterampilan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran mendalam. Secara keseluruhan, pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di Sekolah Indonesia Kota Kinabalu

Abstract

Community Partnership Program (PKM) for UD. Kerupuk Mekar JayaThis Community Partnership Program (Program Kemitraan Masyarakat/PKM) aims to increase production capacity and strengthen marketing management for the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) UD. Kerupuk Mekar Jaya in Selimau 3 Village, Tanjung Selor, Bulungan Regency. The activities focus on two aspects: the application of appropriate technology in the form of designing and building a semi-automatic, electric-motor-powered cracker slicing machine, and a soft innovation product consisting of digital marketing and business management training.Before the intervention, the cracker production process was manual, yielding a capacity of approximately 30 kg per day, involving 8-10 workers, and requiring an effective working time of 8-12 hours. Following the implementation of the semi-automatic slicing machine, a significant increase in production capacity occurred, reaching 100 kg per day, with labor efficiency reducing the workforce to 3-4 people and production time decreasing to 3-4 hours per day. This increase reflects a productivity gain of more than 230% and a working time efficiency of 60-70%. Furthermore, the management and digital literacy training successfully enhanced the partner's ability to market products through online platforms such as social media. Overall, the program had a tangible impact on the sustainability of the small business and strengthened the MSME's position as the cracker production center in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze legal protection for the rights of female workers in Indonesia through the perspective of Max Weber's Social Conflict Theory, which emphasizes the dimensions of class, status, and power. Normatively, various laws and regulations have provided a basis for protection, but their implementation still faces structural obstacles. This normative-sociological juridical research uses a conceptual and legislative approach with qualitative analysis of secondary data in the form of regulations and case studies. The results show that employment relations are still dominated by power imbalances between capital owners and female workers, which are reinforced by a patriarchal culture. In the class dimension, employers often avoid compliance costs, making female workers vulnerable to economic exploitation. In the status dimension, patriarchal norms weaken legal protection against discrimination, harassment, and maternity rights. Violations of maternity rights, wage and promotion discrimination, and high levels of sexual harassment reflect social conflicts resulting from economic domination and status, so that formal legal protection has not been substantively realized. This study concludes that the weak protection of female workers is not only due to legal implementation, but also to structural power imbalances.

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in fostering national character and civilization. In Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) occupies a crucial position within the national education system. Its importance extends beyond the spiritual aspect to the development of students' morals, ethics, and personalities. PAI serves as the foundation for developing a generation with noble character, responsibility, and social awareness. This study analyzes the importance of integrating Islamic values ​​into formal education, particularly in the face of the challenges of globalization, moral degradation, and the identity crisis of the younger generation. PAI serves as an ideological bulwark against the negative influences of external cultures and is an effective medium for instilling the values ​​of tolerance, peace, and diversity in accordance with the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity). This study employed a literature review method with a qualitative-descriptive approach through document analysis, educational regulations, and research related to PAI in Indonesia. The results show that PAI plays a vital role in developing education that is not only cognitively oriented, but also affective and psychomotor. A comprehensive PAI curriculum has been shown to positively impact student behavior in schools and society.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of families in building religious awareness among patients undergoing treatment at Datu Beru Takengon Regional General Hospital, while also exploring various factors that support or hinder this process during hospitalization. The research method used a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach, involving eight patients and their family members selected purposively, as well as three nurses as additional sources of information. Data were collected through field observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive methods that focused on the dynamics of the experiences of patients and families. The findings revealed that families played a significant role in accompanying patients spiritually, acting as encouragers, reminders of prayer times, and religious motivators during hospitalization. The forms of support provided included reminding patients to pray, assisting with wudu or tayamum, reciting the Qur'an, and strengthening patients' religious motivation. The role of the family has been proven to have a positive impact, such as increasing inner peace, motivation, and awareness of worship in patients. However, this process is not without obstacles, including the physical weakness of patients, the family's limited understanding of worship in sick conditions, and limited visiting hours at the hospital.

Abstract

This study investigates the linguistic comprehension of third-grade students at MI Ma’arif Mangunsari concerning the distinction between active and passive sentence constructions through the integration of student worksheets (LKPD). Utilizing a qualitative descriptive design, data were obtained through systematic observation, semi-structured interviews, and analysis of students’ written responses. The results reveal that the LKPD facilitated learners’ grammatical awareness, with 75% of students demonstrating accurate identification of syntactic patterns in active and passive clauses. The contextual and interactive nature of the LKPD supported learners’ construction of linguistic meaning; however, difficulties persisted—particularly in recognizing the functional roles of subject and object as well as determining appropriate morphological adjustments in passive predicates. These findings indicate that learners’ syntactic and morphological competence is still emergent. The study affirms that LKPD can function both as a pedagogical tool and as a linguistic diagnostic instrument for mapping students’ comprehension. Further research is recommended to broaden the linguistic scope and participant diversity.
