Abstract

Most of the people of West Kalimantan use traditional medicinal plants for treatment. Kubu Raya Regency is one of the districts that has traditional medicine (Battra), which uses medicinal plants in its practice. This research aims to carry out an inventory of medicinal plants used by traditional healers in Batra. The research design used in this research is descriptive research. The method used was to observe Batra to obtain information, followed by interviews. The data analysis technique used is qualitative in the form of narrative analysis, where data is obtained from traditional healers and then described to find out the names, properties, parts used, and methods of making and using medicinal plants. From the research results, it was found that 12 types of medicinal plants were used by traditional healers, namely alang-alang roots, cat's whisker leaves, guava leaves, Euphorbia tirucalli leaves, pegagan leaves, bay leaves, buas-buas leaves, white cumin, tapak jala leaves, cengkodok leaves, red betel leaves, and turmeric. The parts of the plant used are roots, rhizomes, leaves, and seeds. The way to make and use medicinal plants is by pasting, smearing, or smearing them. Some diseases treated using medicinal plants include fever, toothache, high blood pressure, blood sugar, itching, fungus, scabs, diarrhea, ulcers, rheumatism, hemorrhoids, stomach aches, low back pain, burns, irritated wounds, and skin inflammation.

Abstract

The leaves contain flavonoid compounds messengers. Flavonoid compounds secondary metabolite which is effective as an antioxidant, antibacterial and bitter taste. This research aims to find out whether or not there are compounds of flavonoids and flavonoid compounds types what is contained in the leaves of the Messenger (Peperomia Pellucida L. Kunth). Research done by maceration extraction using a solvent of ethanol 96%. Identification of flavonoid compound test done by phytochemicals shows telling leaf extract contains flavonoids. Identification of flavonoid done in Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) to find a motion that gives the phase separation is good. After obtaining a good motion phase chromatography column done using phase of motion eluen of n-heksan: ethyl acetate: n-butanol (8:2:1) and Thin Layer Chromatography were tested using eluent n-butanol, acetic acid and water by comparison ( BAA) (4:1:5) to obtain the value of the Rf 92.85 and 94.28 indicating positive compounds of flavonoids from the isoflavones (Daidzein and Genistein).

Abstract

Gambir leaves (Uncaria gambir Roxb) contain phenolic compounds that have the potential to act as sunscreen and have antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine the total phenolic content, SPF value of gambier leaf extract in vitro and antibacterial activity against Propionibacterium acnes. Gambier leaf extract was made using the maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. Total phenolic content and sunscreen activity were tested by measuring absorption using UV-Vis spectrophotometry, while the antibacterial activity test used the agar well method. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel to test phenolic levels and SPF values, while for antibacterial activity using SPSS 25 with the One Way Anova test. The results showed that the total phenolic content of gambier leaf extract was 1.3322 mgGAE/g ± 0.2456 with ultra-protective SPF values at concentrations of 120, 100 and 80 ppm respectively, namely 31,94; 22,62; and 15,24. Gambir leaf extract has antibacterial activity against Propionibacterium acnes with inhibitory diameters at concentrations of 50, 25 and 12.5% respectively, namely 23,67; 18,00; and 14,57 mm.

Abstract

Instant powder beverages are beverages made from either fresh or dried ingredients that are boiled for more or less than 60 minutes, then sugar or no sugar is added and the water is evaporated until sugar crystals or powder are obtained. Fruits and vegetables from mango, watermelon, cucumber, carrots and broccoli have many health benefits as natural antioxidants. This study aims to determine the instant powder with the highest antioxidant activity from a mixture of fruits and vegetables or a mixture of ginger, temulawak, turmeric and lemongrass. This study was conducted experimentally by examining each instant powder preparation from a mixture of fruits and vegetables on antioxidant activity using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method and UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results showed that the instant powder drink from a mixture of fruits and vegetables had antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 100.341. These results indicate that instant powder from a mixture of fruits and vegetables has strong antioxidant potential.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out an overview of the implementation of clinical pharmacy service standards at the Wonosari Klaten District Health Center. This research method is a descriptive survey. The collection technique is to use a saturated sample technique. Data analysis in this research is by using the percentage of the results of each parameter. The results of research conducted at the Wonosari Klaten District Health Center regarding clinical pharmacy assessment and prescription services at Wonosari 1 Health Center had a presentation of 100% (very suitable) and Wonosari 2 Health Center at 75% (suitable). Wonosari Community Health Center 1's drug information service has a presentation of 75% (suitable) and Wonosari Community Health Center 2 is 100% (very appropriate). Wonosari 1 Counseling Community Health Center had a presentation of 75% (appropriate) and Wonosari 2 Community Health Center had a presentation of 75% (appropriate). Monitoring of drug side effects at Wonosari Community Health Center 1 had a presentation of 50% (quite appropriate) and Wonosari Community Health Center 2 had 100 (very appropriate). Monitoring of drug therapy at Wonosari Community Health Center 1 had a presentation of 50% (quite appropriate) and Wonosari Community Health Center 2 100% (very appropriate). Evaluation of drug use at Wonosari Community Health Center 1 had a presentation of 75% (appropriate) and Wonosari Community Health Center 2 at 50% (fairly appropriate). So it can be concluded that at Wonosari Community Health Center 1, the percentage is 100%, namely assessment and prescription services, 75% drug information and counseling services, 50% monitoring of drug side effects, monitoring drug therapy and evaluation of drug use, whereas at Wonosari Community Health Center 2, the percentage is 100%. namely drug information services, monitoring drug side effects, monitoring drug therapy and evaluating drug use, 75% assessment and prescription and counseling services

Abstract

ABSTRACT Jeruju plant (Acanthus ebracteatus Vahl) is a type of mangrove that has the potential as a natural source of treatment. Jeruju plants contain secondary metabolite compounds including alkaloids, saponins, terpenoids, flavonoids, anthraquinones and tannins. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of maceration and reflux extraction methods to levels of flavonoids and antioxidant activity using the FRAP method, a plant of jeruju originating from Tegal Kamulyan, Cilacap Regency. Jeruju leaf extraction method maceration and reflux using ethanol 96% solvent. The flavonoid content of the jeruju extract was determined using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer. Antioxidant activity was measured using the FRAP method. The results of the flavonoid level determination showed that the refluxed extract contained 35,07 mg/g of flavonoids, while the macerated extract contained 27,44 mg/g of flavonoids. The calculation of the antioxidant activity of the jeruju leaf extract obtained through the reflux method was 118.57 mgAAE/g of extract with an IC50 value = 34.76 µg/mL (very strong antioxidant) and a maceration method of 111.75 mgAAE/g extract with a value of IC50 = 33,69 µ/mL (very strong antioxidant).
