Abstract

The study aims to provide an applied study of the mechanisms of the social curriculum using the religious text "Surah Youssef/Yusuf" as a model, with guiding considerations respecting the specificity and sanctity of the Koranic text, to provide a clear understanding of the story of Joseph "Allah peace" in the Holy Koran and to highlight its social semantics. The research also aims to learn about the social classes in "Yusuf Hizbul Peace" society, as well as the many types of caste conflict and its impact on Egyptian society. The study’s findings demonstrated the efficiency of using the social curriculum to highlight the unique characteristics of Egyptian society: their behaviors, values, and social phenomena, and providing logical analytical interpretations of the character's behavior in the story "Yusuf Alayhi al-Salam." Focusing on the linguistic part of the word revealed social connotations that highlighted the meaning and orientation of speech since it contains a variety of social values related to religion, culture, morals, and humans.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in educational institutions faces various challenges. Effective interactions between teachers and students, and among students, are crucial for success. These interactions enhance motivation, interest, and engagement. Effective classroom management is essential for a conducive learning environment. This study, using a descriptive-analytical and qualitative approach, reviews literature, prior research, and teaching observations. Findings show interactive methods, like group discussions and presentations, boost participation and language mastery. Structured interactions and clear, consistent classroom rules support learning outcomes. The study highlights how educational interactions and management together improve student motivation and performance, with technology enhancing engagement and classroom control. Abstract

This research explores the historical development of the methodology (manhaj) in Arabic grammatical studies (Al-Nahw Al-'Arabi). The study highlights how interactions between Arabic and foreign languages, the emergence of the lahn phenomenon, and the evolution of grammatical schools shaped the discipline. Starting from Basrah, the study traces the spread of nahwu scholarship to Kufa, Baghdad, Andalusia, and Egypt, analyzing shifts in methodological approaches—from descriptive to normative frameworks. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research synthesizes data from literature, including books, journals, and articles. The findings reveal that methodological transitions reflect both intellectual debates among classical scholars and the socio-cultural contexts of their time. This study underscores the importance of understanding historical methodologies to enrich contemporary Arabic linguistics and pedagogy.

Abstract

The preservation and conservation of the Arabic language are vital efforts, as demonstrated by various initiatives such as the development of the Arabic script system, the compilation of Islamic sciences' rules, dictionary creation, and the establishment of Arabic language institutions. These endeavors form the foundation for maintaining the relevance and sustainability of the Arabic language in the modern era. This article explores the origins and evolution of the Arabic script, tracing its roots from ancient scripts to the development of various calligraphic styles like Kufic and Naskh. It discusses significant reforms, including the introduction of diacritical marks and vowel signs to enhance readability and comprehension, addressing challenges such as varied pronunciation due to the absence of vowels in the written form. The paper also proposes solutions to these challenges, emphasizing early Arabic education and the integration of modern teaching tools to facilitate language learning and comprehension. Ultimately, the collective responsibility to preserve Arabic language and culture underscores the importance of these efforts in an ever-evolving modern context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the linguistic feasibility of the Arabic textbook for Grade III Madrasah Ibtidaiyah published by Grafindo Media Pratama. The analysis was conducted based on linguistic feasibility criteria, which include compatibility with students' developmental levels, grammatical accuracy, clarity of sentence structure, and the use of relevant and easily understandable vocabulary. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques consisting of document studies and content analysis. The results indicate that, in general, the textbook meets most of the linguistic feasibility criteria. The language used is relatively simple and suitable for students' abilities, although there are some deficiencies in term consistency and adherence to standard Arabic grammar rules. Therefore, revisions to certain sections are recommended to enhance the linguistic quality of the textbook, making it more effective in supporting Arabic learning at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level.

Abstract

This study examines the quality of Class VII Arabic textbooks published by Dar Al-Nile and the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag), based on W.F. Mackey's theory, which encompasses elements of selection, gradation, presentation, and repetition. The book published by the Ministry of Religion aims to support the national curriculum by integrating moderate Islamic values with a context-based thematic approach. In contrast, Dar Al-Nile’s textbook is noteworthy for its application of communicative and phonetic methods, emphasizing speaking skills in a more systematic manner. The researcher employed a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing primary data sources from the Arabic textbooks for MTs Class VII published by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and Dar Al-Nile. The analysis reveals that the Ministry of Religion’s book excels in the selection of diverse vocabulary that aligns with local needs, while Dar Al-Nile’s textbook is distinguished by its effective material gradation and appealing visual presentation. To enhance contextual and tailored learning experiences for students in Indonesia, this study recommends the development of Arabic textbooks that integrate the strengths of both approaches.

Abstract

This research is aimed at revealing the use of animation as an innovative learning medium to teach listening skills to grade X students of Madrasah Aliyah Al-Syuko. This study aims to measure the extent of the effectiveness of this media in improving listening skills and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its use. The research method used is a mixed method that combines quantitative and qualitative approaches. This study involved two groups, namely the experimental and control groups, consisting of 35 students of class X. Quantitative data analysis was carried out through pretest and posttest tests, while qualitative data analysis used the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models. The results showed that the use of animation significantly improved students' listening skills, with the average pretest score increasing from 53.88 to 76.94 in the posttest. The N-Gain test result of 0.5291 showed a moderate level of effectiveness. Statistical analysis also showed a statistically significant difference between the two groups (p<0.05).

Abstract

This article explores the application of lexical grammar (al-naḥw al-mu'jamī) in Arabic language teaching in Indonesia through the integration of the mind mapping-based PAIKEM model. This descriptive-analytical qualitative research examines the literature on lexical-grammatical theory and the contextual needs of learning in Indonesia, including curriculum analysis, teaching materials, and interviews with teachers. The results show that this method is able to overcome grammatical-lexical fragmentation by: (1) integrating top-down and bottom-up approaches for holistic understanding; (2) improvement of language fluency and accuracy from the beginning of learning; and (3) reduced reliance on internal translations. The main challenges include pedagogical readiness of teachers and adaptation of materials according to the local context. Through mind mapping-based PAIKEM, the research proposes a creative learning framework that combines lexical-grammatical structures with contextual activities, while emphasizing its flexibility in responding to individual learning styles. This study is the basis for the development of Arabic teaching methods that are more adaptive and oriented to the needs of Indonesian learners.
