Abstract

One of the most important aspects of language learning is vocabulary. Many students have difficulty mastering it. The researcher wants to reveal how effectively the Bingo game method increasesabic vocabulary mastery. This study uses a quantitative approach, with a pre-experimental design and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was 20 grade V students at SDN Guluk-Guluk II Sumenep. The sampling method is the saturated sample method. Researchers collect information through pretest and posttest. For data analysis, the SPSS 22 application was used which included the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test. The researcher then used the SPSS 22 application to test the hypothesis with the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. According to the findings of this study, bingo games can statistically improve vocabulary mastery by 79.6%. The results of the Mann-Whitney hypothesis test show this. The implication of the findings of this study is that bingo games can be used as an effective method for increasing vocabulary mastery in fifth-grade elementary school students. However, because this research was only conducted in class V SD, the results cannot be applied in general to all grade levels. Therefore, further research is needed to find out whether bingo games are also effective for use at other grade levels.

Abstract

Di Indonesia, di mana sebagian besar masyarakat adalah dwibahasa, pengenalan bahasa asing seperti bahasa Inggris telah menjadi fokus penting dalam sistem pendidikan. Program bilingual, yang mengintegrasikan bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris dalam kurikulum sekolah, telah menjadi subjek perhatian yang signifikan. Penelitian ini menganalisis fenomena bilingualisme dalam pendidikan Indonesia. Melalui metode studi literatur, penelitian ini menggali manfaat, tantangan, dan strategi dalam menerapkan program bilingual di lingkungan pendidikan. Dengan mempertimbangkan hasil dari sepuluh jurnal yang mengevaluasi kualitas sekolah bilingual di Indonesia, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa sebagian besar sekolah bilingual menunjukkan kualitas yang baik dalam sistem dan pelaksanaannya. Meskipun debat tentang manfaat dan tantangan bilingualisme masih berlanjut, banyak penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak bilingual memiliki keunggulan kognitif dan akademik. Namun, tantangan seperti pemilihan pendekatan yang tepat, pengelolaan waktu, dan konsistensi pengajaran bahasa kedua tetap menjadi perhatian utama. Untuk mendukung anak-anak dalam lingkungan pendidikan bilingual, strategi seperti komitmen terhadap kedua bahasa, penggunaan bahasa ibu sebagai fondasi, konsistensi pengajaran, praktik aktif, dan dukungan komunitas sangat penting. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemahaman mendalam tentang manfaat, tantangan, dan strategi dalam mendukung anak bilingual dapat membantu orang tua dan pendidik membuat keputusan yang lebih baik dalam pendidikan anak. In Indonesia, where the majority of society is bilingual, the introduction of foreign languages such as English has become an important focus in the education system. Bilingual programs, which integrate Indonesian and English in school curricula, have been the subject of significant attention. This research analyzes the phenomenon of bilingualism in Indonesian education. Through literature study methods, this research explores the benefits, challenges and strategies in implementing bilingual programs in educational environments. By considering the results of ten journals evaluating the quality of bilingual schools in Indonesia, this research found that the majority of bilingual schools show good quality in their systems and implementation. Although the debate about the benefits and challenges of bilingualism continues, many studies show that bilingual children have cognitive and academic advantages. However, challenges such as choosing the right approach, time management, and consistency of second language teaching remain major concerns. To support children in a bilingual educational environment, strategies such as commitment to both languages, use of the mother tongue as a foundation, consistency of teaching, active practice, and community support are essential. This research concludes that a deeper understanding of the benefits, challenges, and strategies in supporting bilingual children can help parents and educators make better decisions in their children's education.

Abstract

يعد الجزء الثلاثين من القرآن الكريم من الأجزاء المتميزة بلغة بليغة وأسلوب فني راق. يحتوي هذا الجزء على مجموعة من السور القصيرة التي تتسم بكثافة بلاغية عالية وتعتمد بشكل كبير على التشبيه البليغ كأداة بلاغية لإيصال المعاني بطريقة مؤثرة وجذابة نظرا إلى أنه أحد أرقى أشكال التشبيه في اللغة العربية، تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل هذه التشبيهات البليغة وفهم دورها في إبراز المعاني البلاغية والجمالية في النص القرآن. يعتمد هذا البحث على منهجية تحليلية نوعية تستند إلى دراسة النصوص القرآنية وتفاسيره وجمع الباحث البيانات من النص القرآني وأسلوب تحليلها بجمع الآيات القرآنية والتعرف عليها وتصنيفها وتحليلها وتفسير معانيها ومناقشتها والاستخلاص منها. وتظهر نتائج هذا البحث في أن عدد التشبيه في الجزء الثلاثين ٢١ تشبيها بليغا مقسمة على ثلاث صور رئيسية: ١٩ تشبيها تأتي على صورة المبتدأ والخبر أو ما يشبههما، وتشبيه واحد يأتي على صورة الإضافة، وتشبيه واحد يأتي على صورة الحال وصاحبه. تميزت هذه التشبيهات البليغة بقصر ألفاظها وحذف أركانها، وذلك بسبب قوة التعبير وجماله. وبالتالي فإن حاصل هذا البحث يقول بأن أسلوب التشبيه البليغ في القرآن الكريم يؤثر في إتيان المعنى الأعمق للآيات القرآنية ويؤتي جمالها حتى يتناولها الناس أكثر لذة وجذابة.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal and examine the variety of Madurese dialects found in 4 districts in Madura (Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan, and Sumenep) and their factors, starting from acquisition factors to surrounding environmental factors, as well as their influence on a person's attitude patterns. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects that will be studied are the Madurese people in general from each district. The data collection instrument used structured interviews involving 3 people from each district and sources from the literature. The data analysis technique used by researchers is qualitative descriptive. Data analysis includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on research results, the diversity of Madurese dialects based on psycholinguistic and sociolinguistic studies is formed through the acquisition factor of Madurese language diversity in the form of vocabulary (dialect) by the human mental lexicon obtained by their social environment. Meanwhile, the diversity of the Madurese language accent is formed from various factors, including cultural, geographical, and social class factors, which influence their attitude patterns.

Abstract

This research aims to develop effective and structured teaching materials in CEFR Level A1-A2-based Arabic listening and speaking skills for use in Alexandria Islamic School Bekasi. Unlike previous research that used CEFR for curriculum creation, this research focuses on the development of CEFR-based teaching materials. The CEFR standard is important in learning Arabic to assess the level of language proficiency. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with qualitative and quantitative approaches, and uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model developed by Dick and Carey. Data collection techniques include tests, observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the use of the textbook "Al-Arabiyyatu Kulla Yaumin" obtained an effectiveness level of 85%-100%, which was categorized as "excellent". This product has been tested at the Islamic School of Alexandria through pre-test and post-test, with validation results showing high effectiveness. The result of this study is a CEFR-based teaching material for Arabic listening and speaking skills at Level A1-A2 that is ready to use. This teaching material is expected to improve Arabic language learning systematically and effectively, as well as contribute to the development of Arabic language learning in Indonesia.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan alat komunikasi utama yang memungkinkan manusia saling memahami baik dalam konteks sosial maupun budaya. Model mental merupakan sebuah representasi gambaran yang dimiliki individu berdasarkan pengalaman sebelumnya. Sedangkan proses produksi bahasa mencakup kemampuan dalam menyusun sebuah kalimat ataupun pemilihan diksi yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis relevansi antara model mental dan produksi bahasa pada faktor psikolinguistik; Metode yg digunakan adalah Kualitatif deskriptif dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber teori dan hasil penelitian sebelumnya; Model mental memberikan sebuah gambarang tentang pemahaman konteks maupun analisis konseptual sedangkan produksi bahasa memberikan ujaran dan tulisan yang dihasilkan dan dampak kepada psikoligis seseorang. Kesimpulan yang bisa diambil adalah mengintegrasikan model mental dan produksi bahasa melalui pendeketan psikolinguistik khususnya dalam pembelajaran berbahasa. Language is the primary communication tool that enables humans to understand one another, both in social and cultural contexts. A mental model is a representation or visualization held by an individual based on prior experiences. Meanwhile, the process of language production encompasses the ability to construct sentences and select appropriate diction. The aim of this study is to analyze the relevance between mental models and language production in the context of psycholinguistic factors. The method used is descriptive qualitative, involving the analysis of various theoretical sources and previous research findings. Mental models provide a framework for understanding context and conceptual analysis, whereas language production generates speech and writing, influencing an individual’s psychological state. The conclusion drawn is the integration of mental models and language production through a psycholinguistic approach, particularly in language learning

Abstract

Di antara problem sosial yang terjadi di lingkungan masyarakat Desa Laladon, Kecamatan Ciomas, Kabupaten Bogor adalah minimnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya pendidikan dan lemahnya perhatian terhadap kebersihan lingkungan. Rumusan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang ingin dijawab adalah bagaimana upaya yang efektif dalam pemberdayaan pendidikan dan meningkatkan kebersihan lingkungan masyarakat di Desa Laladon untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih, sehat, dan berdaya saing. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah di lokasi pengabdian masyarakat adalah pendekatan problem solving, yang meliputi identifikasi masalah, penentuan masalah, penentuan strategi, pengaturan strategi, riset, analisis, dan pengambilan keputusan. Untuk mengatasi kedua masalah utama tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini mengimplementasikan beberapa solusi, antara lain: mengklasifikasikan sampah menjadi organik dan anorganik, membuat alat pembakar sampah (insinerator), melaksanakan program Sabtu Bersih, mengajar anak-anak Sekolah Dasar, serta mengembangkan keterampilan hidup. Pemilahan sampah organik dan anorganik dilakukan secara rutin setiap minggu. Mesin insinerator dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat. Program fun study dirancang untuk membuat anak-anak lebih antusias dan termotivasi dalam belajar.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the response and participation of fifth-grade students at Islamic Elementary School Mazraatul Ulum in Tangerang City in vocabulary learning using the brain-based Wordwall program. The research highlights the problem of low student participation, as their activities are limited to listening and writing down vocabulary without effective collaboration, which negatively affects their understanding and performance. The researchers used the quantitative descriptive approach using pre- and post-questionnaires to collect data. The research sample consisted of 36 students, with the data analyzed using a Likert scale. The results showed a significant improvement in the level of classroom interaction, as the average response increased from 73.81 in the pre-questionnaire to 80.61 in the post-questionnaire. This indicates an increase in student participation after using the program. The results confirmed the effectiveness of Wordwall in improving students' language proficiency and enthusiasm for learning. The research provides recommendations for using innovative teaching methods to enhance the quality of education and classroom interaction, which contributes to solving the challenges of vocabulary learning more effectively.يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل استجابة طلبة الصف الخامس في مدرسة مزرعة العلوم الابتدائية الإسلامية بمدينة تانجيرانج ومشاركتهم في تعليم المفردات باستخدام برنامج وورد وول القائم على الدماغ. يبرز البحث مشكلة ضعف مشاركة الطلبة، حيث تقتصر أنشطتهم على الاستماع وتدوين المفردات دون تعاون فعال، مما أثر سلبا على فهمهم وأدائهم. استخدم الباحثون المنهج الكمي الوصفي باستخدام استبيانات قبلية وبعدية لجمع البيانات وتتكون عينة البحث من ٣٦ طالبا، مع تحليل البيانات باستخدام مقياس ليكرت. أظهرت النتائج تحسنا ملحوظا في مستوى التفاعل الصفي، حيث ارتفع متوسط الاستجابة من ٧٣،٨١ في الاستبيان القبلي إلى ٨٠،٦١ في الاستبيان البعدي. يدل ذلك على زيادة مشاركة الطلبة بعد استخدام البرنامج. وأكدت النتائج فعالية برنامج وورد وول في تحسين كفاءة الطلبة اللغوية وحماسهم للتعلم. يقدم البحث توصيات باستخدام وسائل تعليمية مبتكرة لتعزيز جودة التعليم والتفاعل الصفي، ما يسهم في حل تحديات تعليم المفردات بشكل أكثر فاعلية.

Abstract

This research aims to develop digital comics using the Canva application to teach reading skills, assess their validity, and analyze students’ interests and responses. The study employed the ADDIE model of research and development, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, and validation questionnaires from experts and students and analyzed using percentages and a Likert scale. Results showed that the educational medium was highly effective, receiving scores of 87.6% from subject experts and 84% from media experts, categorized as "very good." Students' responses also indicated a high level of interest, with a score of 85%, classified as "very good." These findings demonstrate that developing digital comics via the Canva application is a valid and effective solution for enhancing students' reading interest and improving their comprehension of reading materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Wordwall Program in vocabulary learning based on Brain-Based Learning. This research deals with the importance of solving the problems of teaching vocabulary through sound educational media. This research uses a quantitative method with an experimental approach. The experimental design used in this study was the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study involved two groups: the experimental group and the control group. The research subjects were fifth-grade students from class 5A as the experimental group, consisting of 36 students, and class 5B as the control group, also composed of 36 students. The data collection instrument is a test (pre-test and post-test). The researcher used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov, t-test and N-Gain to analyze the data. This study's results show that using the Wordwall Program based on Brain-Based Learning is effective in vocabulary learning. This is evident from the test results of both groups, where the post-test score for the experimental group was 84.22, while the control group scored 76.44. Additionally, based on the t-test, the sig (2-tailed) value was 0.024, which is greater than 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This means that there is a significant effect of vocabulary learning using Wordwall. This shows that class participation increased after using Wordwall. This study's findings confirm that using learning media in teaching vocabulary can significantly improve students’ language skills and enthusiasm for learning.
