Kalimatuna: Journal Of Arabic Research
Kalimatuna: Journal of Arabic Research is a forum for Arabic education researchers, intellectuals, and practitioners to publish and disseminate their original research and studies. The journal is published online by the Department of Arabic Education (PBA) of the Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, in partnership with PP-PBA (Association of Arabic Education Departments), PPJKBA Indonesia (Association of Arabic Journal Managers), and IMLA (Arabic Teachers Association of Indonesia). The primary scope and focus of the journal include: Alquran and Arabic language; Arabic linguistics studies in micro and macro terms; Balagah or Arabic stylistic; Language acquisitions of Arabic language; Pedagogical Arabic instructional as a foreign language and for non-native speaker; Policies on Arabic teaching. Kalimatuna: Journal of Arabic Research is published twice a year. Editors welcome scholars, researchers and practitioners of Arabic Education to submit scholarly articles to be published through this journal. All articles will be reviewed by experts before accepted for publication.

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the level of readability of the Arabic teaching text book for sixth grade published by Pustaka Mulia and used in SD Islam Ruhama. The cloze test method was used to determine the level of readability of the text. The sample consisted of 80 students from the sixth grade of SD Islam Ruhama. The results of this study showed that the level of readability of the textbook varies. The readability level of the textbook is 34%, which means that the readability is at the level of frustration and the students' reading ability is 43%, which means the level of readability is at the instructional or educational level. The researchers concluded that the textbook did not meet the readability standards and that the readability of the textbook was varied. However, to further support students' reading skills, books or other additional references are still needed.]]>

<![CDATA[The book is a learning resource for students and sometimes does not always support the educational activities of students on Arabic language communication practices. This research aims to reveal the extent of the representation and presentation of educational activities in the Arabic language teaching book published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs based on the communication approach principles. This research is qualitative with a descriptive analysis that describes the presentation of educational activities based on the principles of Jack Croft Richards' communication approach. The method of data collection used is documentary studies with statistical analysis of the percentage assessment. Based on the results of data analysis and processing by using evaluative innstrument consisting of 17 points, the researcher concluded that the contents of the book were appropriate to the communication approach principles.]]>

<![CDATA[Al-Qur’an adalah wahyu Allah yang diturunkan pada Nabi Muhammad saw. Dengan proses berangsur-angsur serta merupakan kitab terakhir yang berasal dari samawi. Bahasa yang digunakan dalam Al-Qur’an adalah bahasa Arab. Hal ini dikarenakan masyarakat yang pertama kali Rasul berdakwah menggunakan bahasa Arab. Dikarenakan bahasa yang digunakan dalam Al-Qur’an adalah bahasa Arab, tidak sedikit orang yang terjebak dalam memahami makna-makna yang terkandung dalam Al-Qur’an. Kajian makna dikenal dengan ilmu dilalah dan dalam kajian bahasa Arab terdiri dari kajian homonim, antonim, polisemi, ambiguitas dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis polisemi kata Rasyada yang terkandung dalam Al-Qur’an. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kualitatif. Data yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini berupa kumpulan polisemi kata Rasyada dalam Al-Qur’an. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan bahwa polisemi kata Rasyada dalam Al-Qur’an berjumlah 19 kata yang mempunyai beragam makna. Adapun makna yang sering muncul adalah petunjuk.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by Sayyid Qutub’s assumption in his book (Fii Zilaal Al-Qur’an) that meaningful cohesion study has been carried out in the Al-Qur’an, but has not been studied literally and lexically. There was the impression that the lexical cohesion was the important thing to understand the meaning of Al-Qur’an. Lexical cohesion is a cohesion that associated with meaning and formed by the semantic relationship between another lexicon. In addition to the researcher chose the Surah Al-Qiyamah as the object of research to analyze the lexical cohesion devices that contained in Surah Al-Qiyamah by using Halliday and Ruqaiya’s theory of lexical cohesion. Halliday and Ruqaiya see lexical cohesion as being formed of two aspects: reiteration (repitition, synonym, antonym, hyponym) and collocation. Therefore, this research is trying to answer how many devices of lexical cohesion are contained in Surah Al-Qiyamah. ]]>

<![CDATA[This study departs from the problem of decreasing motivation to learn Arabic and the lack of effective learning techniques used by teachers in learning. This study aims to obtain an overview of increasing motivation to learn Arabic with assignment-based learning. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method with the theory of Kemmis & MC Tagrt with a sample of 20 people. In each cycle, this research is focused on obtaining data on increasing motivation to learn Arabic for the fifth grade students of MIS Nurul Huda Caringin Bogor for the 2022/2023 academic year by using assignment-based learning. The data collection technique used is the distribution of questionnaires and questionnaires. Analysis of this research data with combined analysis, namely the quantitative technique based on the average score of the motivation questionnaire and the questionnaire score, while the qualitative technique is based on the description of the results of the analysis of the average score of the motivation questionnaire and the questionnaire score. The results of this study will prove that this assignment technique can increase the motivation to learn Arabic for the fifth grade students of MIS Nurul Huda Caringin-Bogor.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the style of language of the principles of da'wah in Surah An-Nahl verse 125, the concept of religious moderation according to the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and how the two are related. The results of this study concludes that there are three interrelationships, namely 1. The principle of Wisdom (al-Hikmah) gives birth to a reflection language style (Istifham) and realizes the value of tolerance (at-Tasamuh); 2. The principle of good advice (al-Mau'idzhah al-Hasanah) gives birth to a dialogue style (Hiwar) and realizes democratic values (asy-Syuuroo); 3 Principles of Plenary Argument (al-Mujadalah bi al-Husna) gives birth to an analogy language style (Amtsal) and realized the value of proportion (al-I'tidal).]]>

<![CDATA[The objectives of this research are to detect the impact of the use of Google Classroom on the results of learning students’ substantive reading skills at this school, and to analyse the supporting and inhibiting factors in its use. After the researcher's pretest and postest of the students, received the pretest with the largest results 65 and the smallest results 40 and the average 50. And posttest got the biggest results 80 and the smallest results 55 and average 68 and got N-gain 0,6 at the good grade level. The researcher analyzed the data by law (T-test) with the help of SPSS 21 obtained Sig value. (2-tailed) 0,000 below 0,05 the alternative hypothesis H_a accepted the original hypothesis H_0 rejected. The conclusion of this research is that the teaching process using Google Classroom for students in this school has a statistically significant effect on the results of learning the reading skill.]]>

<![CDATA[The researcher chose this topic because teaching speaking skill didn’t success in promote students’ competence in speaking. One of the problems is the lack of dialogue exercises material, which leads to a lack of opportunity in doing conversation, especially about health. There are no abstract materials and patterns of expressions of health. The research aims to develop speaking materials based on language functions about health. The researcher used R&D method with a qualitative approach. Its use the ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research shows that: (1) the speaking materials based on language functions about health supports in teaching speaking skill contains four materials: vocabulary, listening, speaking, and grammar. (2) The developed materials show their quality after being assessed by the expert in "Very Good” grade.]]>

<![CDATA[In the last few decades, especially after the fall of the New Order regime, the political constellation in Indonesia has been quite dynamic and tends to be populist. Many people consider that the populism aspirations of Muslims as the majority religion embraced by Indonesian citizens in several aspects of political life are experiencing a strengthening trend. One of the precedents that indicates the strengthening trend of Islamic populism is the case of blasphemy and the emergence of the 212 movement. This movement emerged after the 2017 DKI Jakarta election campaign where one of the candidate pairs at that time was suspected of insulting Islam by quoting Tarjamah Surah al-Maidah Verse 51 for pragmatic purposes of electoral politics. The question is, how do translation institutions in Indonesia that are considered authoritative translate this verse, especially the word "auliya". This study focuses its discussion on the presentation of tarjamah data for the word "Auliya'" which is contained in the work of Tarjamah Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and Tarjamah Tafsiriyah M. Thalib. The results of this study indicate that the differences that occur between the translations of the two translations are very diametrical. The translation of the word "auliya'" in the Tarjamah M. Talib uses a more fundamental diction when compared to the tarjamah of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion. The Tarjamah Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia chose to use the term "friend". Tarjamah M. Talib prefers to use the term "leader".]]>
