EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant influence of TikTok food vlogger content in the Surabaya area on the culinary interest of undergraduate students in the Culinary Education Program at UNESA. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. The sample consists of 90 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results indicate a significant influence of TikTok food vlogger content in the Surabaya area on the culinary interest of students in the Culinary Education undergraduate program at UNESA.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the needs of local wisdom-based literature learning modules in Vocational High Schools (SMK). The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and questionnaires to teachers and students. The results of the study indicate that literature learning in schools is not optimal because most teachers still rely on text teaching materials and have not consistently linked the material to local culture. Meanwhile, student responses showed high enthusiasm for literature learning that is contextualized with their regional life and culture. The use of learning modules is considered capable of improving the structure, interactivity, and relevance of learning materials. Therefore, the development of local wisdom-based literature modules is a strategic step to strengthen cultural identity, increase learning motivation, and make the learning process more meaningful.

Abstract

The digital transformation in education has driven a paradigm shift in assessment, from traditional forms to technology-based alternatives such as e-portfolios. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation patterns of e-portfolios in biology learning, evaluate their impact on student competency development, and identify implementation barriers. The research method used a meta-synthesis approach to English-language articles published between 2020 and 2025 from the Google Scholar database. A search using the combination of keywords "e-portfolio," "assessment," and "biology learning" yielded 200 articles, which were then systematically selected to obtain eight articles that met the criteria for meta-synthesis. Results: The results indicate that e-portfolios are implemented using various platforms such as Google Sites, WordPress, and Google Classroom, at high school and university levels, with varying biology materials. In general, e-portfolios have been shown to improve digital literacy (100%), creativity (75%), science communication (75%), and critical thinking (62.5%). However, several aspects, such as learning independence (25%) and metacognition (37.5%), are still not optimal. The main obstacles identified include difficulty adapting to technology (62.5%) and unstable internet connections (50%). These findings indicate that although e-portfolios have great potential as an alternative assessment in biology learning, their success is highly dependent on technological readiness, user digital competence, and institutional support. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the role of e-portfolios as an innovative assessment tool and identifying areas for improvement for more effective implementation in the future.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN 2 Bendogerit Blitar in the even semester of 2024/2025 which examines the use of canva-based interactive power point learning media in learning grade IV Pancasila Education. This study aims to analyze the use of Canva-based interactive power point learning media, the obstacles faced in using Canva-based interactive learning media in learning, and efforts that can be made to overcome the obstacles that occur in the use of Canva media in learning Pancasila Education grade IV SDN 2 Bendogerit. The research method and research approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in this study include interviews, observation, and documentation. To ensure data validity, source triangulation and technique triangulation were used. Meanwhile, data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of research on the use of Canva interactive media in learning Pancasila Education in class IV SDN 2 Bendogerit, it can be concluded that the utilization of this media has a positive contribution and impact on the learning process and results of students. The use of Canva not only clarifies the material, but also supports a fun, varied, and appropriate learning approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the innovation of curriculum objectives at the al-Hikamussalafiyah Islamic Boarding School in Cipulus, Purwakarta. Innovation of curriculum objectives is an important step in responding to the demands of modern society for education. Al-Hikamussalafiyah Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic boarding schools that is able to innovate and transform from traditional learning to more modern learning. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations and document studies. The data were then analyzed using the triangulation method. The conclusions of this study are: Innovation of learning objectives at the al-Hikamussalafiyah Islamic Boarding School in Cipulus, Purwakarta is carried out by establishing formal education and teaching non-formal vocational and skills education. This innovation of learning objectives answers several demands of modern society, namely: technology integration, educational gaps, teacher training, mental health and well-being, relevant curriculum, funding and resources, performance measurement and assessment, globalization and diversity, and school security.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the dual coding method on students' long-term memory. A true experimental approach with a between-participant design was employed in this research. The participants consisted of 32 students aged between 13 and 14 years, randomly assigned to two experimental groups (16 students in each group). Long-term memory was assessed using a presentation of concrete nouns. The first experimental group received a combination of words and images, while the second group was presented with words only. To measure long-term memory, students were asked to recall and write down the concrete nouns they had previously seen. Data analysis was conducted using the Mann-Whitney test due to the non-normal distribution of the data. The results revealed that the dual coding method had a significant positive effect on enhancing students’ long-term memory. These findings contribute to the development of instructional strategies that effectively integrate visual and verbal elements to strengthen memory retention.

Abstract

To meet the demand for high-achieving martial arts athletes in West Java, mental toughness and achievement goals are essential for athletes to achieve optimal performance. This study aims to investigate the influence of mental toughness and achievement goals on the flow state among martial arts athletes in West Java Province. The method used is quantitative with a causal design. The participants consisted of 158 athletes aged between 13 and 35 years, from various martial arts disciplines such as Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, Karate, and others. The data analysis methods used include normality tests, linearity tests, multiple regression analysis, coefficient of determination tests, and categorization tests. All data analyses were conducted using SPSS Statistics version 25.0. The instruments used in this study include the Flow State Scale (FSS), the Mental Toughness Index, and the 2 x 2 Achievement Goals Questionnaire. The regression analysis results show that mental toughness has a significant influence on the flow state, while achievement goals do not have a significant partial effect. However, simultaneously, both variables significantly influence the flow state, with a contribution of 59.8%. These findings emphasize the importance of mental strength and achievement-oriented behavior in shaping the optimal performance conditions of athletes during competition. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for the development of psychological training programs aimed at enhancing the performance of martial arts athletes by strengthening mental toughness and managing achievement goals to produce outstanding athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adverse childhood experiencess and social support on self-harm behavior among adolescents from broken homes. The study sample consisted of 204 participants, including 65 males and 139 females aged between 13 and 21 years old residing in Karawang Regency. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling, which involves selecting participants based on their availability and ease of access. Data collection was conducted using a quantitative approach with three main instruments: the Self-harm Inventory (SHI) to measure self-harm behavior, the Adverse childhood experiences Questionnaire (ACE-Q) to measure adverse childhood experiencess, and the Social Provisions Scale (SPS) to measure perceptions of social support. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of the analysis indicated that adverse childhood experiencess significantly influenced self-harm behavior (significance value = 0.00; p < 0.05). However, social support did not have a significant influence on self-harm behavior (significance value = 0.187; p > 0.05). These findings indicate that adverse childhood experiencess play an important role in the development of self-harm behavior, while social support may not be sufficient to reduce the tendency toward self-harm behavior among adolescents from broken homes in Karawang.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a product for the development of a learning media using Easil in news text materials for grade VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Lawang Kidul. The type of researcher used is the RnD (Research and Development) method. The development model used is using the Alessi & Trolip development model.Learning media using Easil in news text materials for grade VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Lawang Kidul was developed based on the results of needs analysis and interviews of teachers and students. In the results of the needs analysis and interviews of teachers and students, learning media products using Easil are needed in learning news text material for grade VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Lawang Kidul. Next, the first step is to carry out the initial design of product manufacturing by making flowcharts and storyboards. Then the next step is the development of the initial form of the product, validation tests, and product revisions. The validation test has 3 aspects, namely, the media aspect which gets a percentage result of 92.86% with a very feasible category. Furthermore, in the material aspect with a percentage of 87.5% with a very decent category. Furthermore, the last aspect is the language aspect with a percentage result of 79.17% with a very decent category. From all three aspects, it was obtained in the category of very suitable for use in the learning media from research on the development of learning media using Easil in news text materials for grade VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Lawang Kidul.

Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of the Use of Digital Media on Student Learning Achievement in the Digital Class Management Course in the Economics Education Study Program, Class of 2021, Sriwijaya University. This research is a quantitative study with a correlational research type. The population in this study were 75 students of Economics Education, Sriwijaya University Class of 2021. Sampling used the Total Sampling technique where the entire population was used as a sample of 75 students. Data collection techniques were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The validity test of the instrument used the Product Moment formula and reliability used Alpha Cronbach. The results of the study showed that the Digital Media data obtained were categorized as good with an average percentage of 82.2% and learning achievement showed an average of 86.44% which was categorized as very good. Data analysis using the t-test shows that t_(count) = 2.059 ≥ t_table = 1.994 then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of digital media on student learning achievement in the Digital Class Management course in the Economic Education Study Program, Class of 2021, Sriwijaya University. Based on this study, it is hoped that students will improve their knowledge of digital media even better so that student learning achievement will improve even better.
