EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of class VIII C students of SMPN 50 Batam in determining figures of speech in poetry texts through the application of game-based learning models. The method used is a quasi-eksperimenta design with a pretest-posttest control group deisgn. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that received game-based learning and the control class that used conventional learning methods. The research instrument was a test of the ability to determine figures of speech in poetry texts. The data were analyzed using the normality and homogeneity prerequisite tests, then continued with hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class increased significantly compared to the control class. The significance value of the t-test was 0.009 < 0.05, which indicates that the game-based learning model has a positive and significant effect on students’ ability to determine figures of speech in poetry texts. Thus, the game-based learning model can be used as an alternative effective learning strategy in improving students’ understanding offigures of speech in poetry texts.

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) is a compulsory subject in the Merdeka Curriculum that students must master. However, limitations in the use of learning media, particularly in the areas of natural resources and landscapes, are one of the factors contributing to students' low understanding of these topics. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop an interactive multimedia tool based on Articulate Storyline for fourth-grade students, with a focus on the topics of natural resources and landscape. The research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects are fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Sudirman, Ambarawa District, Semarang Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The validation results from subject matter and media experts indicated that the developed media achieved a feasibility score of 93%, categorized as highly feasible. The practicality assessment reached 98%, indicating that the media is very easy to use. The effectiveness test using a t-test yielded a significance value below 0.05, indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Additionally, the N-gain test showed an improvement in learning outcomes in the moderate category, with a score of 0.5505 on the small scale and 0.5620 on the large scale. Teachers and students also gave very positive feedback on the media. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive multimedia ALAMEDIA based on Articulate Storyline is effective, feasible, and practical in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in Science.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies used by working parents in supporting children with speech delay. Using a qualitative approach and in-depth interviews with three families, data were collected on the dynamics and challenges parents face in providing language stimulation. The findings reveal that limited time due to work is a major obstacle; however, parents remain proactive in supporting their children through simple communication, educational media, and involvement of extended family members. Parents also realize the importance of creating a positive environment to make children feel comfortable while communicating. Consistency, patience, and rewarding children's efforts are key to supporting their language development. This research reinforces previous findings that emphasize the crucial role of parents in early childhood language development, especially in cases of speech delay.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of work motivation, employee development, and compensation on employee turnover at PT LKMAK. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that work motivation and employee development have a negative effect on turnover, indicating that increased motivation and the availability of relevant development programs can reduce employees’ intention to leave the organization. In contrast, compensation shows a positive effect on turnover, suggesting that increasing financial rewards without sufficient support from intrinsic and non-financial factors may lead to higher turnover intention. These results underscore the importance of strategically managing motivation and employee development, as well as designing a fair compensation system to effectively minimize employee turnover.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant effect of the TGT (Team Game Tournament) learning model on class VIII G at SMP Negeri 50 Batam and the comparison with the lecture method applied in class VIII C on student learning outcomes regarding Persuasive Sentence Analysis in Speech Texts. In this study, the author used a quasi-experimental design approach and applied a pretest and posttest. The research population was taken from 3 classes in class VIII SMP and the class research sample taken was in class VIII G which consisted of 29 students as the experimental class, then class VIII C which consisted of 29 students became the control class. The data analysis technique first carried out a swimmer test which required a normality test and a homogeneity test, then after the normal and homogeneous data were known, it was continued with a hypothesis test (t-test).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between students’ imagination ability and their descriptive writing skills among seventh-grade students at MTs Al Hidayah Sukatani. Writing skills are a crucial component of Indonesian language learning, especially in producing descriptive texts that require students to portray objects, scenes, or events in a detailed and engaging manner. In this process, imagination plays an essential role in forming mental imagery, creating original content, and organizing ideas creatively. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample consisted of 34 students selected from the total population using the Slovin formula. Data collection was carried out through a closed-ended questionnaire to measure imagination ability, based on Torrance’s theory, and a descriptive writing test assessed using five criteria adapted from Nurgiyantoro: idea content, content organization, grammar, vocabulary and structure, and spelling. Instrument validity and reliability were tested before the main data collection. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation with the help of SPSS version 25. The results showed a significant positive correlation between students’ imagination and their descriptive writing skills. This indicates that the higher the students’ imagination, the better the quality of their descriptive writing. These findings highlight the importance of imagination in the writing process and the need for Indonesian language teachers to provide opportunities for students to explore and express their creative ideas. Thus, imagination is not only a tool for writing but also a key element in enhancing the overall quality of language learning

Abstract

This study aims to examine the innovation of processing roa fish into chili sauce by MSME actors in Sidoarjo, as well as evaluate the market potential and the economic-social impact it causes. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation of culinary MSME actors in the Candi area, Sidoarjo. The results of the study show that the production process of roa fish sauce is carried out systematically through the stages of selecting raw materials, processing chili sauce, and packaging. This product received a very positive market response, with the majority of consumers expressing high interest in the unique taste of chili sauce. In addition to increasing the income of business actors, this innovation also encourages job creation, women's empowerment, and the involvement of the younger generation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Roa fish sauce not only strengthens the competitiveness of local products in the midst of increasingly fierce market competition, but also strengthens the role of MSMEs in the growth of culinary-based creative economy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the operational management of the Teaching Factory "Skala Boga" in the Culinary Department of SMK Negeri 1 Lamongan. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects include the head of the department, Teaching Factory managing teachers, and culinary students of SMK Negeri 1 Lamongan. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results indicate that the implementation of operational management has been carried out fairly well. (1) Planning covers aspects of human resources, production, finance, and marketing, all of which have been well structured. (2) Organizing includes a clear organizational structure and effective resource management. (3) In the actuating aspect, human resources have performed their duties and responsibilities effectively, production meets standard requirements, financial records are detailed, and marketing has achieved a fairly broad reach. (4) Supervision is conducted by teachers and coordinators, including regular financial audits and marketing evaluations.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing ethnopedagogical values and inclusive education practices in the novel Totto-chan: Gadis Cilik di Jendela. This study was also enriched by the results of the researcher's observations during teaching practice in inclusive public schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the content analysis method of the Harold D. Lasswell model by giving symbols and then interpreting them. Lasswell model by giving symbols and then interpreting them. Based on the results of the analysis, 8 data findings were found, consisting of 4 ethnopedagogical data and 4 data on inclusive education practices. The findings show that the novel can be a reflective medium and a source of inspiration in building inclusive schools that are humanist, adaptive, and rooted in local values.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the problems of SKI teachers in using learning media in the classroom. Learning media is an intermediary that can facilitate teachers during the learning process and help in delivering material to students. The use and development of learning media has become a must for every teacher because learning media can increase student understanding, motivate to be enthusiastic about learning, and attract student attention. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the utilization of learning media in MTs Nurus Syafi'i with SKI subjects is still not optimal, due to limited school facilities, lack of routine checks by the principal on teacher discipline in making RPP, lack of availability of human resources and teacher knowledge in planning learning media that are in accordance with the subject matter. In general, the utilization of learning media by SKI teachers at MTs Nurus Syafi'i is by searching for references on the internet and then displaying them on an LCD projector.
