Abstract

Islamic culture is the result of human creativity, feeling, and will based on Islamic values as a guideline for life. This culture reflects human efforts to practice Islamic teachings in various aspects of life, including art, science, politics, economics, and social relations. The essence of Islamic culture lies in its integration with the teachings of revelation and noble morals sourced from the Qur'an and Hadith. Islamic culture is not only spiritual, but also includes worldly aspects that remain in line with the principles of monotheism. Therefore, this study aims to determine the meaning and essence of Islamic culture and this research method uses the library research method.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The focus of this research is to find out how Durkheimian theory is applied to the role of schools as social institutions in building shared morality at MTs Ma'arif Nu 1 Jatilawang. Another focus is to find out how schools become a link for the formation of values, norms, rules and patterns of interaction solidarity and morality which become habituation for students, teachers and parents. Apart from that, to find out how Durkheiman's theory will answer the extent to which MTs Manusaja contributes to realizing the pillars of morality in the personalities of teachers, parents and students in their environment. So that good habits, mutual trust, reciprocal relationships and positive social behavior emerge. In this research, the interview method was used to obtain data in accordance with the research focus. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The appropriate method for collecting data is direct observation of students and teachers as well as interviews with the head of the madrasah, student teachers and parents. The results of this research will certainly add to the general benefits of educational institutions, especially Islamic-based educational institutions or general formal institutions. Keywords: School, Social Institutions, Morality and Durkheimian ABSTRAK Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana teori Durkheimian diterapkan pada peran sekolah sebagai institusi sosial dalam membangun moralitas di MTs Ma’arif Nu 1 Jatilawang. Fokus lainnya yakni untuk mengetahui bagaimana sekolah menjadi penghubung terbentuknya nilai-nilai, norma, aturan dan pola solidaritas interaksi serta moralitas yang menjadi pembiasaan terhadap siswa, guru dan masyarakat. Selain itu untuk mengetahui bagaimana teori Durkheiman akan menjawab sejauh mana MTs Manusaja berkontibusi dalam mewujudkan pilar moralitas di dalam kepribadian guru dan siswa di lingkunganya. Sehingga timbulnya kebiasaan baik, saling percaya, hubungan timbal balik serta prilaku sosial yang positif. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara agar memperoleh data sesuai dengan fokus pebelitian, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Metode yang tepat untuk pengambilan data yakni melakukan observasi langsung terhadap siswa dan guru serta wawancara dengan kepala madrasah, guru, siswa dan orang tua. Hasil penelitian ini tentunya akan menambahkan kemanfaatan secara umum terhadap lembaga pendidikan khususnya lembaga pendidikan berbasis Islam ataupun lembaga formal pada umumnya. Abstract

A guidance and counseling teacher is a counselor/guide who works to help students through counseling. Guidance and Guidance Teachers must have a personality that is able to adapt to the needs of Phase F (Gen Z) students. This research aims to determine the personality of guidance and counseling teachers based on the criteria desired by phase F (Gen Z) students at Al Manar Medan Private High School. This research was conducted at Al Manar Private High School, Medan. With a sample of 3 students and 2 guidance and counseling teachers. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques use interview techniques with research instruments in the form of interview guides. The data obtained is analyzed by making a transcript, then the researcher must be careful and then reduce the data in order to draw conclusions. Based on the data obtained, it can be seen that guidance and counseling teachers have a very important role. And students in phase F (gen Z) have their own criteria for personality that a guidance and counseling teacher must have so that guidance and counseling activities at school run well. It can be concluded that the criteria for phase F (gen Z) students regarding the personality of a guidance and counseling teacher are having an honest, trustworthy, friendly personality, being able to keep secrets, being patient, being sensitive to students, praying warmly, always smiling, respecting everyone, having broad knowledge, caring, able to get closer and familiarize themselves with students and fun to socialize with or communicate with students.

Abstract

Religious moderation is an important issue in social life in the current era of globalization, especially in the Islamic boarding school environment. Al Khoir Tegalwaru Islamic Boarding School as a traditional Islamic educational institution plays a key role in forming students' attitudes of tolerance. This research aims to explore students' understanding of the concept of religious moderation in social life in Islamic boarding schools, as well as identifying the challenges faced in its implementation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with students and caregivers, as well as observations in the Islamic boarding school environment. The research results show that the majority of santri understand religious moderation as a balance between practicing religious teachings and tolerance for differences, but they face difficulties in interacting with other religious groups. Teaching of religious moderation is mostly done informally and is not well structured. Apart from that, the conservative Islamic boarding school environment also limits students' understanding of the wider application of religious moderation. The implication of this research is the need for a more systematic approach in teaching religious moderation, as well as strengthening the role of caregivers in guiding students to apply the values of moderation in everyday life. This research also provides insight for Islamic boarding school managers in improving the quality of education to be more inclusive and tolerant.Understanding santri

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) learning based on the Quran in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program (PAI) at STAI Syekh Manshur Pandeglang. The main focus of the study is to examine the methods, challenges, and impacts of integrating the values ​​of the Quran in the SKI curriculum to strengthen students' religious and historical understanding. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, and analysis of curriculum documents and teaching materials. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of SKI learning based on the Quran is carried out through a thematic approach, connecting historical events with the verses of the Quran, and linking Islamic cultural values ​​with the current context. The main challenges include limited teaching resources in contextual interpretation of the Quran, variations in students' understanding backgrounds, and the need to develop relevant teaching materials. However, this strategy succeeded in increasing students' learning motivation, deepening their appreciation of Islamic cultural heritage, and strengthening the integration of religious knowledge with history. This study recommends increasing the capacity of lecturers through integrative training, developing contextual Al-Quran-based modules, and optimizing learning technology to support more effective implementation. This finding is an academic contribution in developing a holistic and scripture-based SKI learning model in Islamic religious colleges.

Abstract

This study aims to describe implementation of local wisdom values of Pandeglang culture in learning at MI Darul Huda Pandeglang. Local wisdom values such as mutual cooperation, respect for parents and teachers, tolerance, and love for the environment are an integral part of the culture of the Pandeglang community that have great potential to be instilled in the world of elementary education. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and principals, and documentation of learning activities. The results of the study indicate that the application of local wisdom values has been carried out through integration in subjects such as Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn), Indonesian Language, and local content. Teachers actively shape learning materials with a local cultural context through folklore, school community service activities, and the habituation of polite behavior. The obstacles faced include limited locally based teaching materials and the absence of curriculum guidelines that explicitly regulate the integration of local wisdom values. However, students' enthusiasm for materials associated with local culture shows that this approach is effective in building character and strengthening students' cultural identity. This study recommends the need for the development of a local culture-based curriculum and teacher training in integrating local wisdom values into the learning process

Abstract

The rapid development of technology and digital media has had a major impact on various aspects of life, including the world of education. In the context of Islamic learning, technology offers opportunities to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching, but there are various challenges in its application. This research aims to analyze the application of technology in Islamic religious learning at SMPIT Buah Hati, with a focus on integrating Islamic values ​​in the use of digital media. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects consisted of school principals, Islamic teachers, and students. The data obtained was analyzed using data reduction methods, data presentation and drawing conclusions, as well as ensuring the validity of the data through triangulation of sources and methods. The results of the research show that the application of technology in Islamic learning at SMPIT Buah Hati experiences various obstacles, such as limited digital devices, inadequate technical skills of teachers, and gaps in access to technology among students. However, students show high enthusiasm for technology-based learning, and teachers feel helped by digital applications. This research provides important implications for schools to improve technological infrastructure and provide intensive training for teachers, so that Islamic religious learning can be more effective and relevant in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to develop educational innovations and the use of technology that can create conducive learning conditions because it can facilitate and accelerate students' work, as well as improve students' skills in utilizing technological advances. This research is a literature study with a type of descriptive qualitative research method with a literature review that seeks to describe the role of educational innovation in digital technology-based learning. In this study, the author uses various written sources such as articles, journals, and documents that are relevant to the study in this study. This literature study focuses on the role of educational innovation, digital technology in education, and the use of technology in education. The results of the study show that innovation is a process of renewal and change. The world of education needs innovation to continue to develop and be able to keep up with the development of other fields. The use of technology has a positive and negative impact. The impact can be focused on the positive and minimize the negative impact if there is good cooperation from various parties so that the use of technology is in accordance with its purpose. The role of educational innovation in digital technology-based learning is very important. Innovation is needed so that the use of digital technology can be carried out optimally and comprehensively. It is hoped that all elements of society can support and collaborate to optimize various educational innovations based on digital technology. The presence of technology today, it is hoped that it can be used well by all parties such as teachers and other education actors.

Abstract

Pre-marriage counseling is a mandatory step that must be undertaken by prospective brides and grooms before the marriage contract, aimed at preparing them for married life. This study aims to identify and assess the effectiveness of the pre-marriage counseling program conducted by the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) of Medan Tembung District in reducing divorce rates in 2024. This study evaluates the effectiveness of pre-marriage counseling through five indicators: efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. The research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the pre-marriage counseling conducted by KUA Medan Tembung has been effective in reducing the divorce rate. This is due to the requirement for prospective couples to attend pre-marriage counseling before the marriage contract. The program has proven to be very helpful in preparing couples for married life, thus reducing the potential for divorce. The main objective of the pre-marriage counseling program implemented by KUA Medan Tembung is to prevent divorce among young couples in the district.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way individuals understand and internalize religious values, especially for Generation Z who grew up in a digital ecosystem. The practicality of accessing religious knowledge through social media such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook creates its own challenges in strengthening a deep understanding of Islam and noble manners. This study aims to explore the challenges and formulate strategies in internalizing akhlakul karimah in the digital era. Through a qualitative method based on a literature review, the study reveals that Islamic educational institutions play a crucial role in developing a valid understanding of Islam through a curriculum that focuses on digital literacy and the critical ability to sort out religious information. The proposed strategies include integrating technology in learning, enhancing the role of educators in social media, and establishing a learning environment conducive to Islamic values. By implementing adaptive strategies, it is hoped that the younger generation will be able to internalize the values of akhlakul karimah well amid the swift flow of digital information.
