Abstract

This study aims to analyze various factors influencing students' learning challenges in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project within the implementation of an independent curriculum at SMAN 8 Pontianak. Employing a qualitative field approach akin to previous research, the study includes 7 tenth-grade students, Subject Teachers, and the Curriculum Deputy as participants. Data collection techniques involve passive participant observation and direct communication methods, utilizing observation and interview instruments. Research implementation utilizes non-participant observation techniques. Findings suggest that learning difficulties in the Project within the independent curriculum implementation among students are influenced by factors such as students' health conditions, study habits, learning interests, as well as family, peer, and school environments. The conclusion drawn is that internal factors like project learning interest, health conditions, and attitudes towards project-based learning seem more dominant than external factors in causing learning challenges in this context. However, it's important to note that internal and external factors can interact and influence each other, underscoring the need for a holistic approach to addressing learning difficulties.

Abstract

This research is entitled Community Preparedness for Flood Disasters in Meliau District, Sanggau Regency.  The phenomenon of flooding often hits a watershed area that is unable to accommodate the rainwater that falls because the amount of rainwater exceeds the capacity of the river itself. Kuala Buayan Village which is one of the villages in Meliau District is the village most frequently affected by floods almost every year. This has disrupted community activities in Kuala Buayan Village. The purpose of this study is to determine community preparedness for flood disasters. This study uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. The data source for this research is the results of interviews with the village government, the Sanggau Regency Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency, and the Kuala Buayan Village Community as well as direct field observations. The results show that knowledge of community preparedness for floods is still lacking. This is based on the Emergency Response Plan, Disaster Warning System, and Mobilization of Community Resources which is still very lacking, considering that Kuala Buayan Village is a Flood-Prone Area. In addition, the community's knowledge about flood disaster preparedness is quite good, but there is still some knowledge and insight that the community needs to know about flood disaster preparedness.

Abstract

Traffic refers to the arrangement of traffic lights at road intersections to regulate vehicle flow. Traffic congestion is a frequent issue in various cities, including Bontang city. This congestion often occurs at several intersections such as Simpang Empat Kayu Mas KM 3 and Simpang Tiga Yabis in Bontang. There are many traffic lights with short green light duration and long red light duration. This study aims to optimize traffic light durations at Simpang Empat Kayu Mas KM 3 and Simpang Tiga Yabis using the Welch-Powell algorithm. Welch-Powell is a graph coloring algorithm based on largest degree. Secondary data obtained from the Transportation Department of Bontang City, including road segments, vehicle directions, red and green light durations. Based on calculations results, using the Welch-Powell algorithm for vertex coloring a chromatic number of 4 was obtained for the Simpang Empat Kayu Mas KM 3 graph, and a chromatic number of 3 was obtained for the Simpang Tiga Yabis graph. The effectiveness level revealed a 3.053% decrease in red light and a 10.435% increase in green light at Simpang Empat Kayu Mas KM 3. At Simpang Tiga Yabis, there was a 13.043% decrease in red light and a 42.857% increase in green light.

Abstract

Person self-efficacy plays a critical part in the learning process, when understudy self-efficiency is improved, students can attain their potential well in case understudy self-efficacy underpins it. The inquiry aims to clarify the relationship between self-efficacy and understudy learning results at SMAN 1 Sungai Raya Lesson XI IPS Geography. Abstract

Sungai Raya Dalam Village is part of an area located on the outskirts of Pontianak City. The rapid growth of Pontianak City has had an impact on Sungai Raya Dalam Village, one of which is the need for housing. The increasingly expensive need for housing in urban areas makes people choose to live in suburban areas. The research aims to describe the relationship between location factors and the choice of residence in Sungai Raya Dalam Village. This form of research is descriptive quantitative research. This study had a population of 6,269 heads of families and the sample was calculated using the Slovin formula so that a sample of 98 respondents was obtained. The methods for collecting data were used as follows: primary survey techniques, secondary survey techniques, documentation study techniques, and literature study techniques. The tools and materials used to collect data in this research were: a  laptop, SPSS version 27, and questionnaires. The relationship between location factors and choosing a place to live in Sungai Raya Dalam Village is -0.253, according to the results of research conducted using the product moment correlation technique. The results of statistical calculations show the calculated r = -0.253 compared to the r table of 0.195, with a significance level of 5%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of suitability of rice farming land in Sungai Raya District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a spatial overlay analysis technique based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The parameters analyzed include physical environmental factors in the form of temperature (24-32 °C), soil texture (fine and medium), soil depth (>50 cm), soil pH (4.5-8.2), soil drainage, cation exchange capacity (CEC), and slope (0-15%). Secondary data were obtained from various institutions related to the observation years 2017-2023. The results of the study indicate that Sungai Raya District has great potential for the development of rice farming with a dominant classification of suitable (S2) covering an area of 92,457 hectares and marginally suitable (S3) covering an area of 19,451 hectares. The actual utilization of rice fields currently only reaches 24,614 hectares (S2) and 4,493 hectares (S3), which means that only 26.6% of S2 land and 23% of S3 land have been utilized. This study shows that there is still a great opportunity for extensification and intensification of rice farming in the region to support regional food security.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui hasil belajar geografi siswa kelas X di SMAN 3 Mandor yang menggunkan peta konsep berbasis canva. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam pelajaran geografi, yang diduga diakibatkan dari model pembelajaran yang kurang menarik dan tidak memberi memotivasi kepada siswa. Penelitian ini menerapkan metodologi kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini mencakup 2 kelas, yakni kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model peta konsep berbasis Canva, sementara kelas kontrol memakai peta konsep yang tidak non digital. Data penelitian terkumpul melalui sejumlah teknik, yakni mencakup observasi, tes beserta dokumentasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan pada siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran peta konsep berbasis Canva dibandingkan melalui model peta konsep non-digital. Dengan demikian, hasil belajar geografi siswa terbukti efektif ditingkatkan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran peta konsep berbasis Canva.

Abstract

This research examines settlement patterns along the Kapuas River, particularly in Kelurahan Dalam Bugis, East Pontianak, which is characterized by rapid but unplanned growth. The research objectives include: (1) describe the settlement pattern formed in the area, and (2) identify the factors that influence it. The method used was descriptive qualitative with primary data collection through observation and in-depth interviews, as well as secondary data from literature studies. The results of the analysis show two main patterns: a Linier pattern that follows the path and an organic pattern that develops naturally without a standard spatial layout. Shaping factors include the socio-economic characteristics of the community (port dependency and informal employment), natural conditions (flat topography but affected by waste accumulation), building characteristics (semi-permanent with wooden pile foundations), and infrastructure and accessibility constraints (narrow roads, minimal sanitation and clean water). These settlements also face the risk of flooding, poor sanitation and high density. Therefore, there is a need for integrated spatial planning, legalization of land rights, improvement of basic infrastructure and sustainable environmental management to create safer and more orderly settlements.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan tingkat motivasi belajar serta hasil akademik antara siswa yang tinggal di lingkungan pesantren dan mereka yang tinggal di rumah dalam mata pelajaran Geografi di salah satu SMA Islam di Pontianak. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan bersifat kuantitatif dengan rancangan komparatif. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas XI dan XII IPS, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 41 orang, terdiri atas 21 siswa yang tinggal di pesantren dan 20 siswa yang tinggal di rumah. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi belajar serta dokumentasi nilai hasil belajar, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,116 untuk motivasi belajar dan 0,944 untuk hasil belajar, keduanya lebih besar dari 0,05. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan baik dalam motivasi belajar maupun hasil akademik antara kedua kelompok siswa. Meskipun terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata, namun perbedaan tersebut tidak bermakna secara statistik.

Abstract

Riset berikut menelaah keterkaitan diantara minat belajar serta sikap siswa dengan hasil belajar mereka pada mata pelajaran Geografi. Terdapat tiga fokus utama kajian, yakni: (1) hubungan diantara minat belajar serta hasil belajar, (2) hubungan diantara sikap serta hasil belajar, serta (3) pengaruh gabungan kedua variabel tersebut atas hasil belajar. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 62 siswa dari kelas XA serta XB di SMAN 2 Sukadana, Kabupaten Kayong Utara. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berisi 20 butir pernyataan yang mewakili indikator minat belajar serta sikap. Proses analisis melibatkan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, serta uji korelasi Product Moment Pearson. Berlandaskan uji Kolmogorov–Smirnov, didapat nilai signifikansi senilai 0,96 yang melebihi batas 0,05 hingga data dinyatakan berdistribusi normal; akibatnya hipotesis alternatif diterima serta hipotesis nol ditolak. Uji homogenitas menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,367 serta 0,494 keduanya diatas 0,05 yang bermakna kedua kelompok sampel memiliki varians yang homogen. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwasanya minat belajar (X1) berpengaruh signifikan atas hasil belajar (Y), sedangkan sikap (X2) tidak mengindikasi pengaruh signifikan. Meskipun demikian, ketika kedua variabel (X1 serta X2) diuji secara simultan, keduanya bersama-sama terbukti memiliki korelasi yang signifikan dengan pencapaian belajar Geografi siswa.
