Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of deixis in Indonesian short stories, focusing on how these linguistic elements contribute to shaping the readers' perception of characters, setting, and plot. Deixis, as a part of pragmatic studies, refers to words or phrases whose meanings depend on the context of use, such as "I," "here," and "yesterday." Using a qualitative text analysis method grounded in pragmatics, this research identifies various types of deixis (personal, temporal, spatial, and social) in short stories and examines their impact on narrative interaction and the readers' experience. The findings reveal that personal and temporal deixis are the most dominant in the short stories analyzed. Personal deixis such as "I" or "you" fosters emotional closeness between the reader and the character, while temporal deixis helps organize the sequence of events and clarifies the plot. Additionally, spatial and social deixis enrich the understanding of the setting and the relationships between characters. In conclusion, the use of deixis in short stories not only aids readers in understanding the context of the narrative but also creates emotional bonds and specific perspectives. This research contributes to pragmatic studies and the analysis of Indonesian literature, particularly in understanding the role of language in shaping narrative and aesthetic experiences for readers

Abstract

This research focuses on exploring the use of swearing in the novel “Aku Tak Membenci Hujan” through a psycholinguistic perspective. In literary works, swearing often serves as a reflection of the characters' emotions, internal struggles, and psychological states. A psycholinguistic framework is utilized to analyze how swearing manifests in the interactions between characters and how individual psychological factors influence the use of offensive or negative language. The study identifies various forms of swearing within the novel and investigates the meanings and psychological roles behind them. Data is gathered using discourse analysis techniques, with particular attention to the characters, contexts, and emotional effects conveyed through swearing. The results of the study reveal that swearing reflects the characters' feelings of frustration, anger, and dissatisfaction with both their social and personal circumstances. This analysis demonstrates that swearing is not merely a negative expression but also a window into the deeper psychological dynamics at play in the characters' development. The study offers valuable insights into the connections between language, psychology, and literature.

Abstract

The Honimua-East Saparua Road section is a road section located in East Saparua District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province. This road section was completed in 2015. With a total road length of 3 km and a road width of 4 m. Meanwhile, currently the condition of the Honimua–East Saparua road section is experiencing quite serious damage, the causes include, among other things, flooding on the road section, coupled with the absence of road preservation carried out by the government on the Honimua–East Saparua road section, resulting in damage to This section of road is increasingly worrying. Based on the priority order value of the road, the Honimua road is included in the periodic maintenance program. The remaining life of the road plan uses the AASTHO method with a percentage reduction in the remaining life of the plan of 6.60%. Based on the results of planning the thickness of the road pavement for resurfacing the road surface for the condition of the Honimua - East Saparua Road, Central Maluku Regency with a design age of 10 years, the following are obtained: AC – WC = 40 mm, AC – BC = 60 mm, AC – Base = 0 mm, LPA Class A = 400 mm.

Abstract

The research that has been carried out is entitled "Development of Media Counting Box to Improve the Ability to Count Integers of Grade 1 Students of SDIT Syifaurrahmah" which is based on the background that students' ability to count numbers in addition and subtraction materials is still lacking, as well as the lack of use of teaching aids from teachers so that students get bored easily so that their understanding of addition and subtraction materials has not been achieved. The research methodology uses research and development methods or often called Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The data collection technique uses observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Then the data analysis technique of this study uses qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The validity of the Counting Box learning media by media expert validators was 97%, by material expert validators was 98% with a very valid category. The results of practicality by the teacher's response were 94% and the students' response was 97% and the results of the analysis of the two respondents received an average score of 96% in the practical category. The students' learning outcomes were an average score of 82% obtained through pretest and posttest questions which showed that the Counting Box media was effective to use.

Abstract

Banking supervision is an important element in maintaining financial system stability and supporting sustainable economic growth. As an independent supervisory institution, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) plays a strategic role in regulating and supervising the financial services sector, including banking, based on Law Number 21 of 2011. OJK Regulation Number 5 of 2024 exists as a response to global economic dynamics, technological advances, and new challenges such as cybercrime and customer data protection. This regulation forces strengthening governance, risk management and digital innovation in the banking sector. This study uses normative juridical research methods with a qualitative approach to analyze the legal framework and the influence of POJK 5/2024 on the banking sector. The analysis results show that POJK 5/2024 strengthens the risk-based supervision system (Risk-Based Supervision) and bank governance, as well as encouraging the digitalization of banking services. These regulations also increase transparency and consumer protection, although they pose challenges, especially for small banks that face capital and technology limitations. Through this analysis, it is hoped that adaptive supervision can strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesian banking, increase public trust, and support national financial stability. This research provides recommendations for improving coordination between institutions, as well as ensuring that the implementation of regulations is effective in order to achieve the goals of a fair and sustainable financial system.

Abstract

Abstract. This article analyzes the differences in land registration policies in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, focusing on the effectiveness and challenges in each country. Despite similar goals in providing legal certainty and protecting land ownership rights, the three countries have adopted different approaches. In Indonesia, the registration process is still hampered by bureaucracy and a continuous lack of human resources; Malaysia has used the simpler Torrens system but faces some technical issues; while Singapore has a highly efficient digital system, but still faces privacy and data security challenges. Policy effectiveness in all three countries is influenced by the legal system, technology, and government readiness. Keywords: Indonesia; Land Registration; Malaysia; Singapore; Abstrak. Artikel ini menganalisis perbedaan dari kebijakan pendaftaran tanah di Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Singapura, dengan fokus pada efektivitas dan tantangan di masing-masing negara tersebut. Meskipun bertujuan serupa dalam memberikan kepastian hukum dan melindungi hak kepemilikan tanah, ketiga negara ini menerapkan pendekatan yang berbeda-beda. Di Indonesia sendiri, proses pendaftaran masih terkendala birokrasi dan kurangnya sumber daya manusia secara terus menerus; Malaysia sendiri telah menggunakan sistem Torrens yang lebih sederhana namun menghadapi beberapa masalah teknis; sedangkan Singapura telah memiliki sistem digital yang sangat efisien, namun tetap menghadapi tantangan privasi dan keamanan data. Abstract

Restorative Justice (KR) adalah pendekatan inovatif untuk manajemen kejahatan yang berfokus pada pemulihan korban dan reintegrasi pelaku ke dalam masyarakat. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah tingginya angka kejahatan yang seringkali tidak diselesaikan dengan pendekatan hukum konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas KR sebagai solusi untuk menurunkan angka kejahatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah yuridis normatif dan deskriptif, dengan analisis literatur, peraturan, dan praktik yang ada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KR tidak hanya berhasil menurunkan angka kejahatan tetapi juga meningkatkan kepuasan korban melalui proses mediasi. Prospek KR di Indonesia menunjukkan potensi untuk diterapkan lebih luas dalam sistem peradilan pidana, mendukung terciptanya keadilan yang lebih manusiawi.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the definition, historical development, and scope of 'Ulum al-Qur'an. The findings reveal that 'Ulum al-Qur'an is a discipline that thoroughly explores various aspects related to the Qur'an, including its history, methods of interpretation, and relevant principles. This field plays a fundamental role in comprehensively understanding the Qur'an, as the holy scripture serves as the primary guide for Muslims and the main source of Islamic teachings. A deep understanding of the Qur'an requires mastery of 'Ulum al-Qur'an, which encompasses essential aspects of interpretation, including the requirements and appropriate methods. Through studying 'Ulum al-Qur'an, readers are expected to accurately comprehend the words of Allah through tafsir, recognize correct interpretive methods, and understand the prerequisites necessary for the process. This study emphasizes the importance of mastering 'Ulum al-Qur'an as a key to comprehensively understanding Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Generation Z, which consists of individuals born from 1997 to 2012, brings special characteristics to the world of education. Gen Z grew up in the technological era, is very familiar with technology, is able to multitask, and tends to look for learning experiences that are interactive and relevant to real life. To support their fast and independent learning style, Gen Z demands a more personal, flexible and technology-based approach. However, digital distractions, social media pressures, and the need for digital literacy skills must be overcome. This article discusses how the world of education can adapt to the needs of Gen Z. This can be done by implementing learning technology, creating appropriate curricula, and using a more inclusive and collaboration-based learning approach. By understanding the features and requirements of Gen Z, educational institutions have the ability to create learning environments that not only educate but also empower this generation to face future hardships.

Abstract

Improving reading skills in grade 1 elementary school (SD) students is very important for building the basis of other learning skills. One effective method to achieve this goal is to utilize comic media. Comic media, which combines images and text, can attract students’ attention and make it easier for them to understand the stories they read. Using comics in learning to read can increase interest in reading, enrich vocabulary, and help students understand the story line more easily. Apart from that, comics can also stimulate students’ creativity through making simple comics. Therefore, using comic media in teaching reading in grade 1 elementary school can be a fun and effective strategy for improving students’ reading skills.
