Abstract

This study delves into the perspectives of 240 Semester 3 cadets at the Maritime Institute Jakarta (STIP Jakarta) regarding Risk Assessment Approaches for Offshore Structures. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research unfolds over three semesters, encompassing approximately 18 months of academic, mental, and professional preparation for internships in the maritime industry. The cadets, hailing from diverse regions across Indonesia, undergo an international program at STIP Jakarta, necessitating a mastery of English communication in line with International Maritime Education standards. The research navigates through the complexities of maritime education, focusing on academic preparedness, motivations, language proficiency, and perspectives on risk assessment. Academic preparedness reveals a commendable level among cadets, yet the identification of lower preparedness levels signals potential areas for curriculum refinement. Intrinsic motivation, predominantly rooted in a passion for the maritime profession, underscores the institute's success in instilling commitment and purpose among cadets. Language proficiency emerges as a critical determinant, with recommendations for targeted language support to bridge proficiency gaps. The qualitative analysis of cadet perspectives on risk assessment unveils themes of practical application, interdisciplinary understanding, and the pivotal role of language proficiency. These themes advocate for a paradigm shift in teaching methodologies and curriculum design to align with industry demands. The research concludes with implications for curriculum refinement, passion cultivation, language support programs, practical integration, interdisciplinary collaborations, and a continuous feedback mechanism. These recommendations serve as a blueprint for STIP Jakarta's evolution, ensuring the institute remains at the forefront of excellence, innovation, and global relevance in maritime education.

Abstract

This qualitative research delves into the perspectives of 240 Semester 3 cadets at the Maritime Institute Jakarta (STIP Jakarta) on Maritime Transport Development in the Global Scale. Over a span of three semesters, these cadets undergo academic, mental, vocational, and professional preparation for internships in the shipping, cargo, or international delivery industry. The study aims to comprehensively understand their insights on the main opportunities, threats, and challenges in the dynamic landscape of global maritime transport. The findings reveal a collective awareness among cadets of the importance of academic preparedness, emphasizing the need for a seamless transition from theoretical knowledge to practical application. Linguistic proficiency, particularly in English Maritime, emerges as a central theme, highlighting its pivotal role in preparing cadets for international roles. The research illuminates a positive outlook on opportunities within the maritime sector, with cadets expressing enthusiasm for emerging technologies, automation, and sustainable practices. However, realistic concerns are voiced about potential threats such as job market saturation and the impact of automation on traditional roles. These concerns underscore the need for adaptive responses from educational institutions to equip cadets with skills relevant to the evolving industry. Challenges such as language barriers and limited exposure to real-world scenarios are identified, suggesting areas for improvement in maritime education. The implications of the research extend beyond STIP Jakarta, urging a more dynamic and responsive approach to maritime education globally. Recommendations include enhancing experiential learning, continuous language training, and incorporating emerging trends into curricula. The findings and recommendations provide a valuable roadmap for institutions seeking to prepare the next generation of maritime professionals for the complexities of the global maritime industry.

Abstract

People in the current era of globalization tend to prefer new cultures which are considered more practical compared to local culture. This of course has an impact on the fading of local culture, as a result of the lack of future generations who have an interest in learning and preserving it. This research specifically aims to describe the implementation of the traditional Songah musical instrument, a traditional musical instrument typical of the Sumedang region, West Java in the midst of globalization. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The research was carried out in an elementary school in one of the districts in West Java Province with data collection techniques used, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects are students, teachers and pupils who are important components in the research. The results obtained are that this implementation has quite an impact on students, apart from being enthusiastic about participating in activities, it can also foster a sense of nationalism and love for the country. Therefore, Songah musical instruments can be applied in implementing local wisdom-based learning, in order to create the next generation as heirs to local culture which is starting to be eroded by the flow of globalization.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the Indonesian language learning process for grade 6 students in elementary schools. In the process, all explanations, both material and learning media at SDN Koranji 2 Pulosari. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data using library research as well as direct observation when learning to read explanatory texts takes place at SDN Koranji 2 Pulosari. Based on the results of observations, researchers found that Indonesian language learning was carried out through the question and answer method. All Indonesian language material is given by teachers to students through independent assignments. Students submit independent assignments to determine the extent to which they understand the explanatory text. There are still students who do not fully understand the material provided by the teacher. This depends on the level of difficulty of the Indonesian language learning material provided directly. However, students still try to understand the material by asking questions or discussing. Thus, it can be concluded that the Indonesian language learning process through the question and answer method given by the teacher during the learning process for class VI students at SDN Koranji 2 Pulosari went quite well.

Abstract

The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method are two methods that are commonly used to handle multicriteria problems. The AHP technique uses a matrix of pairwise comparisons and a hierarchical approach to criteria in order to obtain the final criteria weights. In contrast, the TOPSIS approach incorporates the concepts of proximity to the ideal solution and preference. Next, TOPSIS uses the previously established criterion weights to compute each option's relative closeness score to the ideal answer. In order to determine how effectively the AHP and TOPSIS methodologies complement one another, this study aims to assess the protocols and underlying assumptions of the two approaches. When decision makers are aware of the benefits and drawbacks of each approach, they may choose the best course of action from a mix of the two. The results of the study indicate that the process may be streamlined, subjectivity can be reduced, and criterion weights can be stabilized by combining the AHP and TOPSIS approaches. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method are two methods that are commonly used to handle multicriteria problems. Abstract

There are three aims of writing this article: first to understand the identity of the Moghul kingdom;the second is to understand the growth of the Moghul empire, and the third is to study some of themisfortunes of the Moghul empire, such as in the fields of politics, socialism, and politics, art, andso on. The founder of the Moghul empire was Kutbu'ddin Aibak (1206–11), who was able toestablish an independent Islamic kingdom in India. There were three rulers: Aurangzib, ShahJahan, and Sultan Akbar. Sultan Akbar also combined Islamic and Hindu civilization and had aruler who was able to maintain the stability of the sultanate. On the other hand, Shah Jahan gaveaway a few secrets, such as the famous Taj Mahal. Other Aurangzib people are still struggling toimprove their education. However, after Aurangzib succeededin establishing the unity of thekingdom, the Moghuls were reluctant to become the few remaining kingdoms. The imprisonment ofthe Sepoys in 1857 marked the end of the Moghul era. The English were different from the Moghulmonarchy.
