Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of the Employee Performance Target Information System (SI-SKP) at the Human Resources and Personnel Agency (BKPSDM) of the Surabaya City Government by integrating the DeLone & McLean Information Systems Success Model with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The main objective is to analyze how the system and information quality of SI-SKP influence perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, as well as their impact on user satisfaction, system usage, individual benefits, and organizational impact, considering that previous evaluations often overlooked the user perspective. The findings reveal that System Quality positively affects Perceived Usefulness, while Information Quality positively affects Perceived Ease of Use, both of which significantly influence User Satisfaction. Interestingly, however, Perceived Usefulness does not affect User Satisfaction, and User Satisfaction does not significantly influence Net Benefits (organizational impact). These results, together with the low R-square values, indicate the importance of non-technical factors such as organizational support and work culture in the successful implementation of SI-SKP. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of SI-SKP from both technical and user perspectives and offers practical suggestions for improvement as well as recommendations for further research.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the diagnostic delays in emergency urological cases at a general hospital emergency department (ED). Using a qualitative research approach and a literature review methodology, the study analyzes existing research articles, medical journals, and case studies focusing on diagnostic delays in urological emergencies. The findings indicate that diagnostic delays are prevalent in EDs, primarily due to factors such as insufficient specialized knowledge among emergency physicians, communication breakdowns, overcrowding, and limited access to diagnostic tools. These delays have serious consequences, including worsened patient outcomes such as kidney damage, testicular loss, and increased risk of sepsis. The study also identifies several strategies to reduce diagnostic delays, including improving training for emergency department staff, enhancing communication between medical teams, and integrating technology, such as telemedicine and AI-assisted diagnostic tools. The review highlights that addressing these factors through targeted interventions could significantly improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce delays, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes. Moreover, the research provides insights into the systemic challenges within EDs that contribute to delays, including overcrowding and inadequate staffing. The study’s findings emphasize the need for hospitals to adopt evidence-based practices to optimize diagnostic procedures and improve the efficiency of emergency care. This study contributes to the ongoing efforts to improve the quality of care in urological emergencies and underscores the importance of timely diagnosis in preventing severe complications.

Abstract

This study examines the changes in social relations within rural communities as a result of the influx of digital technology and new media. Over the past decade, rural areas have experienced significant shifts in their social fabric due to the increasing accessibility and usage of digital platforms, smartphones, and internet connectivity. The rapid growth of new media has altered communication patterns, social interactions, and community structures, leading to both positive and negative consequences. This research aims to explore how these technological advancements have transformed traditional social relations in rural settings, focusing on changes in communication, social integration, and cultural practices. Through qualitative interviews, case studies, and field observations in various rural communities, this study highlights key transformations in interpersonal relationships, community participation, and the negotiation of identity within the digital age. The findings suggest that while new media facilitates greater access to information, global networks, and economic opportunities, it also challenges local traditions, exacerbates generational divides, and creates digital divides among community members. Additionally, the role of digital platforms in reshaping power dynamics and social hierarchies within rural communities is critically analyzed. The results provide valuable insights into how digital technology is reconfiguring rural life, suggesting that these communities face unique challenges and opportunities in adapting to a rapidly changing technological landscape. This study contributes to the understanding of rural-urban dynamics in the digital era and offers recommendations for policymakers, community leaders, and social organizations to manage these transformations in ways that promote inclusive growth and social cohesion.

Abstract

The problem of waste management in Ponorogo Regency is increasingly complex along with the growth of the population and the increase in the volume of waste. One of the waste management locations that is facing problems is the Mrican Landfill, which has been operating since 1995 and is now experiencing excess capacity. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of relocating the Mrican Landfill to a new location that is wider and in accordance with technical, social, and environmental criteria. This feasibility study uses a multicriteria analysis approach involving Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) methods and SWOT analysis, as well as GIS techniques for site suitability evaluation. The results of the study show that the new 9.38-hectare site can accommodate waste for 28 years with a capacity of around 2,900,000 m³ or 750,000 tons. This relocation is feasible from various aspects, including environmental, social, economic, and technical. The selection of a new location meets the criteria of SNI No. 03-3241-1994, with considerations such as safe distance from settlements, topographic conditions, accessibility, and minimal risk of pollution. This research also recommends improving supporting infrastructure, an efficient waste management system, and socialization programs to the community. The relocation of this landfill is expected to improve the quality of waste management and support environmental sustainability in Ponorogo Regency.

Abstract

The rapid urbanization across the globe has increased the demand for environmentally sustainable construction materials, particularly concrete, which alone contributes to over 8% of global carbon emissions due to cement production. Addressing this environmental concern, this study aims to explore eco-friendly concrete technologies that can support the development of sustainable and resilient urban infrastructure. Utilizing a systematic literature review (SLR) method, this qualitative research synthesizes findings from peer-reviewed sources and policy documents published between 2018 and 2025. The study focuses on evaluating technological, environmental, and economic dimensions of green concrete innovations including geopolymer concrete, self-healing concrete, recycled aggregate concrete, CarbonCure technology, and ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). Findings reveal that these technologies offer significant carbon reduction potential (up to 90%), enhance durability, support circular economies through waste reuse, and extend infrastructure lifespan. However, challenges such as high initial costs, lack of technical standardization, and policy gaps, especially in developing countries like Indonesia, hinder their widespread adoption. The study recommends multi-stakeholder collaboration, smart urban labs for field testing, financial incentives, and integration of life cycle assessment (LCA) frameworks in urban planning as strategic pathways for implementation. The paper concludes that eco-friendly concrete technologies hold substantial promise for sustainable construction in modern cities and align well with national and global environmental goals. Their integration is essential for reducing emissions, improving efficiency, and building climate-resilient urban ecosystems.

Abstract

Free social interaction (commonly referred to as pergaulan bebas) can be defined as deviant behavior that violates social and religious norms. More specifically, the term is often associated with sexual relationships outside the bounds of official marital commitment. The current condition of such behavior has reached an alarming level, with increasing types of misconduct, a growing number of cases, and broader demographic involvement. This phenomenon is deeply concerning, as it can lead to the breakdown of individuals, families, communities, and even human civilization as a whole. As a religion believed to offer a complete and comprehensive legal framework, Islam provides an essential perspective in addressing the issue of free social interaction. Thus, it is necessary to examine how effective Islamic law is in tackling this moral crisis. Through a library research method, it is found that pergaulan bebas is influenced by multiple factors, including individual behavior, societal norms, social media, and governmental policies. The findings also reveal that Islamic law remains relevant across all times and contexts and proves to be highly effective in both preventing and resolving issues related to free social interaction. Among the Islamic legal principles are commands to maintain piety (taqwa) and to equip oneself with religious knowledge. Islam also sets specific guidelines for social conduct, such as the obligation to lower one’s gaze, dress modestly, and avoid seclusion (khalwat) or mixed-gender interactions without clear boundaries (ikhthilath). Furthermore, Islamic law enforces explicit and firm punishments for those who violate these moral boundaries, serving both as a deterrent and a corrective mechanism. This paper aims to contribute meaningful insights that may serve as a valuable reference for policymakers in formulating strategies to combat the issue of pergaulan bebas effectively.

Abstract

In the evolving landscape of digital media, 2D animation has emerged as a dynamic tool for cultural preservation, particularly among university students who are increasingly engaging in creative practices that reflect their cultural identities. This study explores how cultural values are represented in local 2D animation works produced by Indonesian students. The research is grounded in the context of the rising importance of culturally informed media content as a means of transmitting tradition to younger audiences in the face of globalization. Employing a qualitative exploratory approach through literature study and content analysis, the research draws on primary data in the form of student-produced animations retrieved from digital platforms and portfolios, and secondary data from academic literature. The study focuses on visual and narrative elements such as costumes, symbols, traditional folklore, character design, and storyline themes that are embedded with local values. Findings reveal that while most student works demonstrate high motivation to preserve cultural heritage and communicate moral messages, there exists a significant variance in the depth of cultural representation. Elements like batik patterns, traditional dances, and folklore-based narratives are visually present, but often lack contextual integration or symbolic depth. Despite these limitations, some animations successfully blend tradition with contemporary issues such as environmental awareness and identity politics, reflecting critical engagement. The study underscores the importance of fostering cultural literacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and curriculum development in art and animation education to enhance cultural authenticity in student works.
