Abstract

ABSTRAK Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang ditakutkan oleh siswa Hal ini karena matematika terkenal dengan kesulitannya. Pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) membantu siswa dalam memahami materi matematika yang di sampaikan oleh guru sehingga siswa tidak merasa kesulitan. Salah satu pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) yaitu pada materi bangun ruang geometri dengan menggunakan bentuk-bentuk pada jajanan pasar Yogyakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengeksplorasi jajanan pasar Yogyakarta dalam materi bangun ruang geometri sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu library research atau studi pustaka. Data yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini diantaranya penjelasan singkat mengenai setiap jajanan pasar jogja yang digunakan dan analisis bentuk jajanan pasar tersebut pada bangun ruang geometri berupa bentuk, ciri-ciri dan rumus-rumusnya. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan jajanan pasar jogja berupa arem-arem berbentuk tabung, klepon berbentuk bola, wajik berbentuk balok, clorot berbwntuk kerucut dan meniran berbentuk prisma segitiga. Jajanan pasar Yogyakarta tersebut memiliki bentuk yang berbeda-beda. Kata kunci : geometri, jajanan pasar Yogyakarta, RME ABSTRACT Mathematics is one of the subjects that students are afraid of. This is because mathematics is known for its difficulties. Learning mathematics using the Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) approach helps students understand the mathematics material presented by the teacher so that students do not find it difficult. One of the mathematics lessons with the Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) approach is on geometric geometric shapes using shapes in Yogyakarta market snacks. The purpose of this study is to explore Yogyakarta market snacks in geometrical geometric shapes so that they can be used in learning mathematics using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques used namely library research or literature study. The data studied in this study include a brief explanation of each Jogja market snack used and an analysis of the shape of the market snacks in geometric shapes in the form, characteristics and formulas. From the results of the study, it was found that traditional Jogja snacks were in the form of tubular arem-arem, spherical klepon, block-shaped diamonds, invitation-shaped clorot and triangular prism-shaped meniran. Abstract

Salah satu penyebab munculnya rasa malas belajar matematika yaitu karena rendahnya motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik. Hal tersebut menjadi latar belakang terjadinya penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penulisan ini untuk merangkum faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan motivasi belajar matematika pada peserta didik dan untuk mengetahui apakah ada korelasi atau tidak antara motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik dengan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mencari, mengumpulkan dan menelaah artikel yang berkaitan dengan faktor motivasi belajar matematika. Setelah mengumpulkan data dilakukan analisis terhadap data yang diperoleh kemudian diambil kesimpulan oleh penulis sebagai hasil dari penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari artikel yang memuat tentang faktor yang menjadi penyebab motivasi belajar matematika yang terbagi menjadi faktor eksternal yaitu faktor sarana belajar, faktor teman sebaya, dan faktor keluarga dan faktor internal yaitu faktor minat, faktor perhatian, faktor kemampuan diri, faktor kesehatan, faktor waktu, faktor kebiasaan belajar peserta didik. Selain itu, terdapat korelasi antara motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik dengan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik.

Abstract

Education is one effort to improve the quality of human resources. This quality improvement is carried out through the process of learning activities. Indicators of the success of learning activities are learning outcomes. Student learning outcomes are still relatively low because teaching materials do not yet facilitate students in improving their learning outcomes. One of the teaching materials that can be developed to improve learning outcomes is LKPD. The research aims to improve student learning outcomes using discovery learning-based LKPD. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development) which consists of several main steps, namely: problem identification, data collection, product design, product improvement. Research was carried out on class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Jogonalan, Klaten Regency. The analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. The results obtained from this research are in the form of a product, namely a K-13 Student Worksheet based on Discovery Learning on Transformational Geometry material. The research results show that the feasibility of developing LKPD based on discovery learning as assessed by media experts is in the feasible category (0.81). and Thus it can be concluded that discovery learning-based LKPD can be used in the SMA Negeri 1 Jogonalan, Klaten Regency environment. The results of student learning using the essay test were 28 students (80%) who completed it by achieving a KKM score ≥ 75, and 7 students (20%) had not achieved the KKM score or had not yet completed it. Abstract

Geblek is one of Kulon Progo's specialty foods made from cassava flour with a shape resembling a figure eight. Geblek is the main pattern used in the batik typical of Kulon Progo. The batik motif uses repetitive and symmetrical patterns. The application of mathematics, especially cryptography, can be used to find repetitive patterns that can inspire batik motifs. This research aims to describe how a basic geblek pattern from Kulon Progo can be transformed into various other patterns using the concept of plane crystallography. The geblek pattern is applied to 17 crystallographic groups, resulting in 17 batik motifs. The use of Graphical User Interface (GUI) in MATLAB will make it easier to form batik motifs. Based on the exploration results, 17 patterns were derived from the basic pattern of Kuln Progo geblek. Uniquely, from these 17 patterns, there are the same and similar patterns. In other words, the patterns found from the basic geblek pattern do not reach 17 patterns. The development pattern of Kulon Progo geblek is further described in this article.

Abstract

Jembatan Lengkung Pekalongan merupakan salah satu bangunan peninggalan era kolonial Belanda di Indonesia yang berfungsi sebagai saluran irigasi yang menghubungkan sungai antar desa. namun belum ditemukan penelitian yang mengkaji jembatan yang penuh sejarah dan budaya ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi konsep etnomatematika yang terdapat pada Jembatan Lengkung Pekalongan yang terletak di Kabupaten Pekalongan, Jawa Tengah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara melakukan eksplorasi lapangan, wawancara, mengambil dokumentasi, melakukan riset studi literatur atau studi kepustakaan dari Arsip Nasional dan Observasi di sekitar jembatan lengkung Pekalongan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya konsep etnomatematika pada Jembatan Lengkung Pekalongan, yakni terkait konsep kekongruenan, luas permukaan, volume, garis dan pola sudut yang ditemukan pada struktur jembatan. Dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pengembangan etnomatematika sebagai materi maupun bahan ajar yang memanfaatkan Jembatan Lengkung Pekalongan sebagai konteks nyata untuk mengajarkan konsep matematika seperti kekongruenan, luas permukaan, volume bangun ruang, garis, dan sudut.

Abstract

Visual thinking skill has an important role in solving mathematics problems. Visual thinking not only can be applied on the topic of geometry but also on the other topics including sequence and series. The visual cognitive styles have a relationship to mathematical abilities and types of tasks. This research aims to analyze the students’ visual thinking skill viewed by visual cognitive styles on the topic of sequence and series used grounded theory approach. The steps in this study are developing visual cognitive style questionnaire and visual thinking skill test, asking students to fill the questionnaire and do the test, and analyzing the results of questionnaires and students’ answer. The subjects of this research were 2 students at the eleventh grade (16-17 year-olds). The result showed that students with spatial visualization have better visual thinking skill than object visualization. Students with spatial visualization are very good at working on problems on indicators transforming problems or concepts into visual forms. Whereas, students with object visualization are very good at drawing for the nth term of a sequence. The analysis of this research can be used as material for consideration to make the learning design on the topic of sequence and series that is in accordance with the cognitive styles of students

Abstract

Literasi matematika merupakan kemampuan matematika yang membutuhkan logika pemecahan masalah dan kemampuan penalaran kritis sehingga dapat menyelesaikan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kemampuan literasi matematika seseorang dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya faktor lingkungan, termasuk penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literatur Review (SLR) untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis berbagai studi yang relevan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan meninjau beberapa artikel nasional yang diperoleh dari basis data google scholar, semantic scholar dan sinta. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif merupakan media yang sering digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dari tahun 2017-2024. Penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif tersebut dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dengan membantu mereka lebih terlibat dalam pembelajaran, meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, meningkatkan pemecahan masalah, serta membantu dalam memvisualisasikan objek-objek abstrak atau sulit dibayangkan sehingga mereka dapat mengimplementasikannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Student proficiency in mathematics, as reflected in learning outcomes, remains a challenge that requires solutions. This study aimed to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the "Collaborative Learning Pairs" strategy. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which included cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection to evaluate the effectiveness of the applied strategy. The "Collaborative Learning Pairs" strategy was an adaptation of the cooperative learning model Think-Pair-Share, which formed learning pairs based on students' abilities, proximity of their homes, gender, and familiarity with each other. The data for this study were students' learning outcomes on flat and solid geometry topics. The research subjects were 28 seventh-grade students from SMP Negeri 4 Geyer Grobogan during the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Data were collected through tests and observations. The data analysis included descriptive statistics, followed by a comparison with the research success criteria. The findings indicated that the strategy involved stages of student pairing, planning classroom and home activities, implementation, and evaluation. The data analysis results showed that before the strategy implementation (Pre-Cycle), the average mathematics score was 70.5, with only 28.57% of students achieving mastery with a Minimum Passing Criteria (KKM) of 80. In Cycle 1, after applying the strategy, the average score increased to 82.39, with 64.28% of students achieving mastery. In Cycle 2, the average score further increased to 85.32, with 78.57% of students achieving mastery. The results demonstrated that the "Collaborative Learning Pairs" strategy effectively improved students' mathematics learning outcomes. The significant increase in both average scores and the percentage of students achieving mastery from the Pre-Cycle to Cycle 2 indicated that this strategy was a viable solution for addressing the challenges in students' mathematics proficiency

Abstract

Education is very essential for the progress of a country. This is because education can provide enormous benefits to the younger generation. In carrying out education, learning media is needed to convey material and information by teachers to students. Media is very important in learning. So teachers must look for efficient media to apply in learning so that students are happy, comfortable and enthusiastic in learning. The approach used in this research is R&D with a 4D model. There are four stages that will be carried out in this research, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. In processing the data, researchers used descriptive analysis techniques to draw conclusions from the data obtained. In the initial stage, researchers define the problems that exist in mathematics learning. The next stage is that researchers design learning media according to teacher needs to support digital literacy. In the third stage, the researchers carried out validation. As for the validation percentage results, the material aspect received 78.125%, including the very feasible category, the integration aspect received 91.6%, including the very feasible category, and the media aspect received 68.75%, including the appropriate category. The final stage is disseminate, researchers disseminate learning media to MTS Miftahul Ulum.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) describe the implementation of HOTS in the learning process on student learning outcomes in Mathematics and Natural Sciences learning; and 2) describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing HOTS in Mathematics and Natural Sciences learning. The method used in this research is the Systematic Literature Review method or literature study which focuses on the process of reviewing and analyzing thoroughly several pieces of literature that are appropriate to the research topic. The results of this research show that: 1) the application of HOTS in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences learning process has proven to be effective in improving student learning outcomes. This effectiveness can be seen from changes in students' cognitive aspects, where in conventional learning they tend to use low-level thinking (LOTS), while with the implementation of HOTS, they begin to develop high-level thinking abilities, such as critical, creative and evaluative thinking. These three aspects equip students with a more mature mindset, enabling them to face and solve various problems in various situations; and 2) supporting factors for HOTS implementation include teacher competency, facilities and infrastructure, classroom management and learning planning. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors in implementing HOTS are inadequate teacher education qualifications and a relatively low level of teacher understanding regarding HOTS.
