Abstract

Learning media plays an important role in increasing the effectiveness of the educational process in elementary schools. An interesting alternative is to use a herbarium to support learning. A herbarium is a collection of plant specimens that have been dried and preserved in a form that can be studied by students. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of using herbaria as a means of supporting learning in elementary schools to increase students' understanding of plant biodiversity and the importance of protecting the environment. This research uses qualitative methods combined with document research methods. Data was obtained by collecting articles and analyzing articles by researchers. The results of this research indicate that the use of herbarium as a learning medium in elementary schools can increase students' interest in learning about plants and the environment. Learners show higher involvement in the learning process, with direct observation of real plant specimens

Abstract

Post operative nausea vomiting or PONV occurred about 24 – 48 hours after surgery, the impact caused by vomiting such as dehydration, electrolyte balance disturbances, increased risk of aspiration, risk of open sutures, esophageal rupture and postoperative pain. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of peppermint aromatherapy on the reduction of postoperative nausea vomiting with spinal anesthesia. The research design used Pre-Experiment with one group pretest and posttest design. This research conductecd at May, 2024 at Recovery Room of RSI Jombang. The population in this study was 30 persons and 13 samples were involved in this study and it was taken by using consecutive sampling. Data were collected by observation and structured interviews using questionnaires. The data was analyzed by using Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The results of this study were obtained that the p value in the 1st of 30 minutes was 0.004 <0.05, in the 2nd 30 minutes it was 0.001<0.05 and in the 3rd 30 minutes it was 0.001<0.05 meaning that there was an effect of peppermint aromatherapy on the reduction of postoperative nausea and vomiting with spinal anesthesia at RSI Jombang both in the first, second and third of 30 minutes. The typical aroma and menthol content of peppermint essential oil can provide a relax effect so that physiologically it can reduce the nausea and vomiting response. Abstract

Regional languages play a strategic role as markers of cultural identity that reflect the characteristics, values, and heritage of a community. This article examines the role of regional languages in maintaining cultural identity in the midst of modernization and globalization that tends to erode linguistic diversity. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive. The data collection technique uses interviews. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the data analysis found that regional languages are not only a means of communication, but also a symbol of pride and social solidarity. Regional languages contain unique expressions of traditions, customs, and life philosophies of each community group. However, social changes and the influence of national and global language dominance have led to a decrease in the use of regional languages in many regions. For this reason, efforts to preserve regional languages through formal education, cultural revitalization, and digital media are important in maintaining cultural identity in the modern era. This article emphasizes that the preservation of regional languages is an important step in maintaining cultural diversity and strengthening national identity

Abstract

Gender equality in the agricultural sector, especially in tobacco farming, is an important issue affects tha sustainability of the rural economy. This study aims to gain an understanding of how the division of labour is based on gender, including the social, cultural, and economic dynamics thah influence the division of labour. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach using primary data sources obtained directly from interviews, observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs); and secondary data sources include supporting data in the form of previous research reports and relevant literature. The data analysis technique used in this research is inductive analysis, by analyzing facts or things that are specific or concrete events then generate a conclusion. The results of this study show that the division of labor in tobacco businesses in Lombok reflects a combination of biological (nature) and socio-cultural (nurture) factors. Men generally take on heavy work such as menaek and maintaining the oven fire, while women take on light tasks that require precision, such as begelantang and sorting dry leaves. Social norms put men in charge and women in charge, but both play an important role in maintaining the quality and sustainability of production. Despite wage differentials, women's contributions remain crucial to the success of the business

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of rhizophregal bacteria in increasing soil fertility and plant productivity. This type of research is a qualitative research that uses the literature review method. Research data sources include books, scientific articles. The main sources of articles are from various journals and indexed on the Google Scholar database. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis show that the role of Rhizobium in increasing soil fertility is very important. Through the process of nitrogen fixation and soil quality improvement, these bacteria not only function to support plant growth, but also contribute to the sustainability of agricultural practices themselves. Therefore, the use of Rhizobium as a biofertilizer is a smart and strategic step to increase agricultural yields while maintaining the sustainability and health of soil ecosystems

Abstract

Soft cookies made from mocaf flour with varying amounts of margarine and butter are baked products composed of mocaf flour, cocoa powder, margarine, butter, eggs, powdered sugar, and chocolate chips. This study aims to examine the effect of different margarine and butter proportions on the sensory attributes of soft cookies, including shape, color, aroma, taste, texture, and overall preference. It also includes a nutritional analysis of the best formulation. This experimental study used variations of margarine and butter (40%, 45%, and 50% of the total dry ingredients) as the independent variable. Data were collected through sensory evaluation involving 35 panelists (4 trained and 31 semi-trained). Data analysis employed one-way ANOVA followed by Duncan’s multiple range test. The results showed significant differences in shape, aroma, taste, texture, and overall preference among the soft cookies with different margarine and butter ratios. The best soft cookie formulation—containing 50% margarine and butter—had the following nutritional values: carbohydrates 70.10%, fat 6.08%, protein 7.90%, moisture 11.80%, and fiber 2.98%.
