Abstract

The Music Service is an important part of the liturgy within the Evangelical Christian Church in Timor (GMIT). In this regard, it is necessary to carry out a training process to improve the quality of music, both for music players and other liturgy supporters. This process requires cooperation between various parties who have responsibilities and a desire to develop the quality of church music. IAKN Kupang, in this case the Faculty of Christian Religious Arts, also has a role in looking at the phenomena experienced by GMIT so that through coaching activities carried out through Community Service it can provide positive value for the development of church music within GMIT. Congregational singing, which is also something that is very dominant in worship, must be managed well so that worship can be of high quality

Abstract

This community service activity aims to disseminate and help develop the operational curriculum for early childhood education teachers in Klasis Amanuban Selatan. The community service implementation team from IAKN Kupang carries out this socialization and mentoring activity to address the need for more understanding among PAUD teachers regarding the new Merdeka Curriculum. The training will also enhance the teachers' ability to create effective teaching materials that align with the curriculum, thereby improving the quality of early childhood education. The expected outcomes include the development of operational curriculum tools, the publication of an article, and enhanced educational practices in the targeted area. This community service activity also serves as a platform for creating an environment where teachers can exchange knowledge and experiences, ultimately leading to better educational outcomes for children. Through this initiative, PAUD teachers will be better equipped to implement the Merdeka Curriculum, thus contributing to the enhancement of early childhood education standards in Southern Amanuban.

Abstract

This training is to provide an understanding to principals and teachers about the diagnostic assessment that is currently in effect in the independent curriculum. The targets of this Community Service group activity are principals, educators and education staff at SMA Negeri I Ba'a, Rote Ndao Regency. The activity was carried out for 2 days. The main material presented was to provide education and workshops through mentoring in making diagnostic instruments and providing practice/simulations regarding concrete steps in preparing diagnostic assessments. The method used in implementing the activity was Participatory Action Research (PAR). The PKM activity was applied with lecture activities and strengthened through FGD (Focus Group Discussion) discussions and questions and answers between presenters/stakeholders and participants. The number of participants who took part in the training was 35 teachers. The results of the training showed that the understanding and mastery of the material on writing diagnostic assessment instruments in the independent curriculum had been understood by the participants and produced a draft of the diagnostic assessment instrument and directly practiced concrete steps in preparing all the required documents. The training participants were very enthusiastic in participating in this activity because it was a requirement in the independent curriculum.

Abstract

Pendidikan pada masa kini mengalami ancaman yang serius karena kurangnya kesadaran dalam menanamkan literasi sejak dini. Persoalan lain yang masih ditemukan adalah rendahnya sumber daya manusia, kurangnya fasilitas sarana dan prasarana sebagai pendukung utama serta ketidaktrampilan guru maupun peserta didik dalam menciptakan lingkungan pembelajran yang kondusif. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan literasi dasar pada Sekolah Dasar Inpres Akle, Semau Selatan. Upaya ini bertujuan agar guru, siswa dan orang tua menyadari bahwa penanaman literasi dasar secara baik sejak dini dapat mempermudah guru maupun siswa untuk berdaptasi dengan berbagai isu perkembangan global di masa kini. Tujuan lainnya adalah guru maupun siswa termotivasi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan yang dimiliki serta menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang berilmu dan berkarakter. Dengan adanya literasi dasar maka guru, siswa dan orang tua lebih dipermudah untuk memahami dan mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan yang telah dipelajari dalam kehidupan setiap hari.

Abstract

Youth are the backbone of a nation as well as a church, therefore as youth they should do many things in life, and be the controllers of the rapid technological advances that are currently developing. However, in reality, with the advancement of existing technology, many young people fall into promiscuity (extramarital sex) which causes pregnancy. Because young people in the era of introducing technology, are still unable to control themselves well, they actually fall into habits that are detrimental to themselves, others, and society. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education and encouragement for young people in Siloam Humone so that they can know and understand the benefits and impacts of using technology, and be wise in using technology, so that they do not fall into promiscuity. The method of implementing PKM "guidance for young people of the Siloam Humone congregation regarding youth, sex and premarital pregnancy" is divided into the following stages: 1). The implementation of community service is preceded by initial observation with the pastor and the Humone community online, 2). Implementation of community service activities for young people in Siloam Humone. The importance of implementing this activity is to provide education so that we can act wisely in the technological era so that we do not fall into free association, but must hold on to the Christian faith, so that we are not easily influenced by technological advances and bad associations.

Abstract

Anak adalah berkat yang dianugerahkan Tuhan pada setiap keluarga. Karena itu selayaknya anak diperlakukan dengan penuh kasih sayang sebab anak-anak kelak akan menjadi generasi penerus bangsa. Anak-anak harus dilindungi tidak hanya dalam lingkungan keluarga meliankan lembaga lain seperti lembaga keagamaan, lembaga pendidikan bahkan instansi pemerintahan harus ikut berperan. Banyaknya kekerasan yang terjadi pada anak baik itu kekerasan fisik, psikis sampai kekerasan seksual tentu sangat memprihatinkan bahkan sangat ironis ketika kekerasan itu dilakukan oleh orang-orang terdekat seperti keluarga. Kekerasan tidak hanya menyisakan luka fisik namun dapat menimbulkan traumatis mendalam bagi para korban. Melihat kenyataan ini tentu diperlukan tindakan nyata untuk memulihkan perasaan takut dan traumatis anak sebagai korban kekerasan. Trauma Healing dengan pendekatan mental-spiritual menjadi salah satu alternatif yang dilakukan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan dan pendampingan. Hasilnya sangat baik, terlihat dari tingkat partisipasi dari para pendamping atau pekerja sosial bahkan anak-anak binaan yang hadir berjumlah 30 anak. Kata Kunci: Anak, Kekerasan, Trauma Healing

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve fine motor abilities in group B2 at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 01 Kupang Kota, which is located in Nangka Street No. 85, Oetete Village, Oebobo Subdistrict, Kupang City. The research was conducted over a two-month period, from May to June 2023. 15 children from group B2 at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 01 Kupang Kota participated in the study. The data was gathered through observation and review. According to the study's first cycle's findings, four children (26.66%) did not demonstrate any significant improvement in their fine motor skills, four children (26.66%) attained the level of fine motor development that the teachers had predicted, and four children (26.66%) displayed excellent fine motor development. Meanwhile, 3 children (26.66%) required further coaching. The capacity of the children to engage in coloring simple drawings improved in the second cycle, with 8 children (43.33%) demonstrating greater skills. Furthermore, there was an increase of 7 children (46.66%) in fine motor skills when participating in coloring activities. Based on the findings of the study, it is possible to conclude that simple coloring activities can improve the fine motor abilities of children aged 5–6 years at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 01 Kupang Kota.

Abstract

Sinode Gereja Masehi Injili di Timor (GMIT) sangat mendukung pengembangan musik gereja, karena musik gereja memiliki peranan penting dalam ibadah lebih khusus dalam liturgi ibadah, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pembinaan secara intensif terhadap warga gereja.Untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan para pemusik gereja, maka perlu diadakan pelatihan musik gereja dengan baik dan benar seperti mengajari teknik dan strategi yang tepat ketika melayani dalam gereja.Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu metode praktikum secara langsung dan metode ceramah. Pentingnya prokantor dan kantoria, dalam peribadahan, mengapa perlu adanya paduan suara dan vokal grup jemaat dalam gereja tersebut, bagaimana keterlibatannya dalam ibadah dan siapa yang harus mengambil peran pelayanan sebagai pemimpin paduan suara serta perlunya anggota paduan suara dan vokal grup yang memiliki kompetensi yang memadai.Berdasarkan dari hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Tim di Jemaat GMIT Sion Uel dan Jemaat GMIT Getsemani Oelbubuk, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Rata-rata jemaat lebih khusus mereka yang terlibat secara langsung sebagai pemusik gereja masih kurang memahami tentang fungsi, peran dan tanggungjawabnya sebagai seorang pemusik gereja, Para pemusik masih mengandalkan felling sebagai bentuk untuk menafsirkan bahkan memainkan partiture yang ada, Hampir keseluruhan pemain musik gereja tidak mengatur proses latihan

Abstract

This PkM activity is carried out in the context of spiritual formation for groups in the categories of children and adults. One of the focuses is serving children creatively. This is necessary because children's services experience problems in various churches, due to a lack of human resources, but also a lack of creativity in children's services which has an impact on reducing children's interest in attending worship services. These concerns prompted the STT ATI team to carry out PkM activities as a way to overcome them. The activity was carried out at GPPIK "Bukit Torsina" Runut, Landak Regency, West Kalimantan. The methods used in this PkM activity are stories, movements and songs, games, creations, and sermons or lectures. The results of this activity show that the activity had a good impact on the congregation and received a positive response from the local church. Apart from that, children learn new things through creative children's services. Services in the adult category also received a good response.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat keimanan keluarga, mempererat hubungan antaranggota keluarga, serta meningkatkan kepedulian sosial dalam lingkungan sekitar. Rangkaian kegiatan yang dilaksanakan meliputi seminar, diskusi, dan praktek langsung di lapangan, yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang peran keluarga dalam pelayanan dan kepedulian sosial. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian materi melalui seminar, sesi diskusi interaktif, dan kegiatan bakti sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga kegiatan tersebut membawa dampak positif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman iman, keharmonisan keluarga, dan kesadaran sosial di lingkungan sekitar. Kegiatan ini juga berperan dalam membentuk karakter keluarga yang solid dalam pelayanan kepada Tuhan dan masyarakat. Dengan demikian, partisipasi keluarga dalam kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi teladan yang menginspirasi keluarga-keluarga lain untuk semakin terlibat dalam pelayanan dan kehidupan sosial yang positif.
