Abstract

Based on the Regulation of the Director General of Civil Aviation KP 14 of 2015, every airport must have a certificate with ARFF facilities according to the category for flight safety. This certificate requires regular maintenance of ARFF vehicles, including oil and filter changes. The ARFF unit is responsible for handling accident and fire incidents with a quick response time. The purpose of this research is to analyze the maintenance activities of PKP-PK vehicles in supporting flight safety at Sultan Babullah Ternate Airport. This study uses a qualitative approach to explore and understand social and human issues related to ARFF vehicle maintenance. Data was collected through interviews with the head of the unit and two ARFF officers, direct observation, and documentation with the ARFF Unit at Sultan Babullah Ternate Airport, in May 2024. Then it was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The analysis results show that the ARFF vehicle maintenance procedures at Sultan Babullah Ternate Airport include routine daily, weekly, monthly, semester, and post-extinguishing activities according to SOPs. Challenges such as shortages of spare parts and budget delays hinder maintenance, which is essential for maintaining vehicle performance and flight safety. Simulations are conducted to improve the performance and response of officers according to AEP, supporting aviation security and safety

Top challenges include technology integration (65%) and resistance to change (58%). This research highlights the importance of adapting reward systems in line with employee needs and the organizational cultural context. The practical implications of these findings suggest the need for integration of reward systems with organizational strategic goals and a gradual approach in system transformation to achieve optimal results in increasing employee motivation and job satisfaction.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the influence of price and product quality on consumer purchasing decisions. By focusing on price variables, product quality, and purchasing decisions, this research provides insight into market dynamics in an increasingly complex competitive environment. Data was collected through a survey of 144 registered customers of the ZYX Company in Serang City, using a Likert scale-based questionnaire. The analysis results show that price has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. Competitive prices and attractive discounts have been proven to increase consumer motivation to buy products or use company services. On the other hand, product quality does not show a significant influence on purchasing decisions. This shows that although product quality is improving, this factor does not directly motivate consumers to buy, especially in markets with high price sensitivity. This research provides practical implications for company managers to pay more attention to price strategy as the main element in attracting consumer attention. Additionally, an optimal combination of price, service quality and product quality can be the key to driving customer loyalty. This study recommends further research to understand the mediating influence of competitiveness and profitability in purchasing decisions to improve business sustainability.

Abstract

The most severely affected racial and ethnic groups by poverty are the Black, Native, and Latinx populations. The disproportionate distribution of poverty should be recognized as a result of governmental decisions, some of which have endorsed violence, while others have established norms that persistently influence access to power, resources, rights, and safeguards. This review utilizes interdisciplinary scholarship from pediatrics, public health, environmental health, epidemiology, social and biomedical sciences, law, policy, and urban planning to investigate the primary subject. What is the correlation among structural racism, poverty, and pediatric health? We examine historical and contemporary events essential for comprehending poverty within the framework of American racism and pediatric health. We contest traditional frameworks that regard racialized poverty as an intrinsic aspect of American society. We propose a conceptual framework to demonstrate how white supremacy and American capitalism perpetuate structural racism and influence the racial allocation of resources and power in the environments where children and adolescents reside, learn, and engage in recreational activities, thereby exacerbating pediatric health disparities. We provide antipoverty techniques rooted in antiracist practices that address the cumulative, generational effects of racism and poverty on health to enhance the well-being of children, adolescents, and families.
