Abstract

The home industry is the backbone of the development of MSMEs in Indonesia which is growing quite rapidly so that it has a positive impact on strengthening the economy, both at the regional and national levels. The production of emping melinjo UMKM has emerged in Giriasih Village, Gunungkidul, the emping melinjo business actors are dominated by housewives with the majority of junior high and high school education levels. The limited ability and minimal knowledge and skills possessed by the emping melinjo business actors in developing the business, the emping melinjo industry which should have been able to become a superior product of local MSMEs, has not been able to develop properly, this is the background to this community service being carried out in Giriasih Village. The goal to be achieved in this community service is to provide assistance to emping melinjo industry actors in making product packaging and managing business legality. The implementation of this community service activity uses stages and methods of service starting from counseling, training and assistance for emping melinjo business actors. The output of this community service includes mandatory outputs in the form of journal article publications and additional outputs in the form of packaging design documents and business legality as well as national seminars on the results of community service.

Abstract

Japanese language education today has experienced globalization so that enthusiasts in the world are increasing. Japanese is a language that can be applied to various fields of science such as linguistics, literature, sociology culture, and others. In today's era of globalization, courses (guiding) have been introduced, namely guiding practices that lead to the use of Japanese for tourists. The need for Japanese-speaking tour guides will increase in line with the increasing number of Japanese tourists visiting North Sulawesi, Bitung City in particular. The provision of Japanese-speaking tour guides is an obligation, considering that tourists certainly want the most optimal service possible, such as getting the desired information in Japanese or communicating in their language. Anticipating the lack of tour guides, universities, especially Manado State University in collaboration with Bitung State Senior High School 1, are holding Japanese Guiding language learning to improve the quality of students at Bitung State Senior High School 1 and to provide practical Japanese language learning knowledge, especially Guiding, to support tourism in Bitung City. Applying practical Japanese language knowledge, especially Japanese guiding, practical tips in serving Japanese tourists. The capacity to communicate orally in Japanese means being able to communicate in common relationships from the professional lives of students later when they enter the world of work, especially in the hospitality sector.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity was to provide training for teachers on designing AKM problems. The activities were conducted at MTsN 1 Sleman and involving teachers as participants. Those were held from October to November 2024 in three meetings. Through this community service activity, the team made serious efforts for teachers to understand AKM better and experience in devising literacy problems which were relevant to their own subjects. The training activities on designing literacy numeracy problems for teachers provide sufficient understanding and skills about the importance of numeracy integration in learning. Based on the discussion held and the presentation of problems designed, teachers’ competence in designing literacy numeracy that are contextual and relevant to the subjects being taught is growing. Teachers now have profound understanding how to connect numeracy concepts with learning material to create meaningful problems. Well-designed literacy numeracy problems not only test numeracy skills, but also train students in analyzing, evaluating and solving problems.

Abstract

Bullying behavior can cause psychological trauma or emotional wounds, both for victims and perpetrators. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to mental health for students, especially to have the courage to tell everything they experience, both to their teachers and their parents in teaching children about the dangers of bullying behavior so that they do not become perpetrators or victims. This is where the role of parents, teachers and schools to play an active role in socializing for prevention, especially in the learning process in the classroom. Many ways to prevent bullying behavior can be done, including through good and open communication. Ask how children feel during school to tell, build children's self-confidence. When they know their abilities and feelings about themselves, feelings of intimidation they may feel will decrease. Then instill an anti-bullying mindset by not teaching shouting, hitting, pushing and teasing others and teach students how to deal with bullying. Then provide motivation and courage to report to teachers or parents if they experience or see bullying behavior among their friends. In addition to the role of parents in preventing bullying, teachers also play a significant role, as they can incorporate this into the learning process. The role of teachers in preventing bullying is crucial, as they are at the forefront of creating a safe and supportive environment for students.

Abstract

Given the challenges of the working world and the demands of professionalism as prospective educators, students are required not only to master academic competencies, but also to possess logical thinking skills and moral and ethical integrity as citizens. This community service activity aims to improve basic mathematical skills and an understanding of civic ethics for prospective undergraduate students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Cokroaminoto University, Yogyakarta. This training method provides participants with intensive material in two main areas: strengthening basic mathematical concepts and applying them, and instilling civic ethics values in the context of national and state life. The training method is carried out in a participatory manner through an andragogical approach, group discussions, case studies, and contextual practice questions. Evaluation of the activity shows that this training has a positive impact on increasing student self-confidence, strengthening their numerical skills, and fostering ethical awareness in decision-making as prospective educators. The results of this training encourage students to be better prepared to face the world of work and have social sensitivity as part of their civic responsibilities. This program is expected to be sustainable and become a model for developing transdisciplinary skills in preparing FKIP graduates who excel academically, ethically, and professionally.

Abstract

The Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program is a government initiative to strengthen the rural economy through the establishment of cooperatives in each village/sub-district. This study aims to analyze the level of public understanding of the legal aspects of cooperative establishment and formulate effective socialization and mentoring strategies in Mojogedang and Karanganyar Districts, Karanganyar Regency. The method used is community service through direct socialization and two-way discussions with the community on June 2-3, 2025. The results of the study show that the public's understanding of the legal aspects of the establishment of cooperatives is still low, where most residents only understand cooperatives as a simple savings and loan container without mastering technical aspects such as legal requirements, deeds of establishment, and legalization of legal entities. The main obstacles identified include limited legal literacy, administrative barriers, minimal human resource capacity, socio-economic constraints, and lack of mentoring. To overcome these problems, a community-based socialization strategy, simplification of legal materials, direct assistance by experts, cooperative management training, and continuous monitoring and evaluation are needed. The implementation of this socialization and mentoring program is expected to increase community understanding and support the formation of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative which is not only legally legal but also sustainable in encouraging the village economy.

Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) play a strategic role in improving the welfare of village communities through independent and sustainable management of local potential. The urgency of this research lies in the importance of understanding the implications of regulatory changes on the existence and management of BUM Desa, considering that BUM Desa is defined in Law Number 6 of 2014 as a business entity whose capital is wholly or mostly owned by the village through direct participation originating from village assets separated to manage village assets and potential. This study aims to compare the Job Creation Law with Government Regulations and Regional Regulations on BUM Desa. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method. The analysis results show that there are twelve main discussion scopes that are compared, including provisions in the Job Creation Law, Government Regulation Number 11 of 2021 concerning BUM Desa, and Wonogiri Regency Regional Regulation Number 6 of 2016. This comparison shows differences and adjustments to legal norms that impact the legal status, institutions, and governance of BUM Desa at the regional level, so that adjustments to regulations at the regional level regarding BUM Desa provisions are needed in accordance with national regulatory developments.

Abstract

UCY Thematics Community Service Program (KKN) is a program packaged as community service, representing a synergy between campus learning and community life. UCY, as a national campus concerned with the progress of the Indonesian nation and state, has a responsibility to contribute to village development thru KKN activities. In the implementation of this community service, there are several falgship programs, including youth and sports development in collaboration with Kampung Giwangan and waste management in the community. The morning youth and sports development program by KKN students in Kampung Giwangan was considered successful because it increased youth participation, strengthened social interaction, and had a positive impact on the health and togetherness of the community, despite some challenges. The socialization activities on plastic waste management in Kampung Giwangan, which focused on teenagers and parents, were categorized as yielding positive results because they increased awareness of environmental cleanliness. Thru interactive methods and active participation from the participants, waste management becomes an activity that can be continued even after the KKN program is over. Nevertheless, the continuation of this program requires a more sustainable strategy. Thru this activity, students learn to hone their soft skills to build partnerships, cross-disciplinary or cross-competency teamwork, and leadership in managing the potential of the village in the KKN area.

Abstract

The community service carried out by the author aims to find out how to weave social harmony in the community in Hamlet 3, Pulau Semambu Village, through the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach. The Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach is a method that is closer to the active participation of the target group during the activity process. The method used in the village development activities is based on active participation aimed for 3 months from October to December 2024, with a focus on 3 main divisions, namely environment, health, and education. Village development is carried out by dividing activities into preparation, program implementation, and evaluation with local parties. The results of the village development activities have had a positive impact, with more than 60% of students understanding the material that has been presented and giving a good impression of what has been provided by the Village Development Volunteer Team. The Village Development program's follow-up results include Sriwijaya University's collaboration in the PPK Ormawa program, under the auspices of KEMDISTISAINTEK. Village development activities in Hamlet 3, Pulau Semambu Village are expected to create an independent, intelligent, healthy and noble village based on Islamic values.
