Abstract

It is vital for Indonesia to accelerate the adoption of FinTech to democratize access to financial services. While Indonesia has huge market potential for FinTech, current and potential players have to be aware of the fundamental problems that have been hindering the growth of the sector. There are a number of roadblocks that FinTech players should take into consideration; they revolve around the lack of financial literacy and inclusion. FinTech innovations are enabling access to financial services through mobile devices for many unbanked in the world. Though FinTech innovations are touted as game changers in deepening financial inclusion, their wide acceptance and use still remain limited. Provided a strong financial literacy among the population, Indonesia will be able to achieve full financial inclusion, which can be accelerated with the adoption of FinTech. Financial inclusion is a key factor of social inclusion, particularly effective in combating poverty and income inequality by unlocking blocked advancement opportunities. FinTech is seen as a key enabler of financial inclusion; and mobile financial services, as the type of FinTech with the greatest potential to bring the unbanked into the formal financial system. The FinTech sector needs to prioritize financial literation for all populations of Indonesia to encourage growth in numerous sectors. Supartoyo (2017) on her paper said the financial sector can affect regional economic growth and play an important role to the economic growth of a region. Further implementation of FinTech into society needs to be as accessible as possible.

Abstract

This study employs an empirical methodology to investigate the calculation of indices for determining the unit costs of equivalent education. This study compares the Construction Cost Index (CCI) and Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) in order to evaluate their relative effectiveness. A review of the existing literature on these indices reveals a need for more refined calculation and comparison methods. The study employs data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (CSA), including CCI and PPP figures from 2021 and allocations for School Operational Assistance (SOA) for non-formal education in 2022, to examine the relative significance of the CCI and PPP. The findings indicate that the CCI exerts a greater influence than the PPP. Furthermore, the application of a relative importance approach through multiple regression analysis reveals a robust positive correlation between the CCI and PPP, underscoring their intricate interrelationship.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the direction of the Indonesian government's policy in responding to the AUKUS (Australia-United Kingdom-United States) trilateral defense pact agreement and its relationship to the China- ASEAN conflict in the South China Sea based on the free and active policy adopted by Indonesia. The research method in this study uses a fully qualitative approach. The type of data used in this research is secondary, from various scientific articles and related news. ASEAN has become divided in addressing Australia's nuclearpowered submarine program together with the AUKUS Alliance. Countries give different reactions, some support, oppose, or observe. Responding to this, it becomes a challenge for Indonesia to continue to play an active role in escalating tensions between AUKUS and China, which can lead to military conflict and even nuclear war in the Indo-Pacific region. With free and active politics, Indonesia should be able to play the role. Position Indonesia is not included in the vortex of blocks or influences from superpower countries competing for influence/hegemony, especially in the Asia Pacific Region.
