Water is the main composition in the body, the amount of water content contained in the body is about 50-80%, depending on age, most of the human body consists of fluids, so the body really needs adequate fluid intake. This fluid intake is obtained from drinking water and food. Abstract

The local people of Kehiran Village are heavily reliant on a sustainable harvesting of sago mushrooms from the surrounding forest; this not only provides them with a source of income, but sustenance too. In order to preserve this invaluable knowledge, it is imperative to educate the younger generation on the morphology, nutritional value and beneficial effects that sago mushrooms offer. This can be achieved through educational programmes for elementary school students in Kehiran Village, which should include information on the importance of conservation and habitat protection. This educational initiative was conducted at SDN Inpres Kehiran in Jayapura Regency from June to September 2024, utilising a multifaceted approach encompassing lectures, focus group discussions, participatory planning, and hands-on practicals. The programme met with remarkable success, surpassing initial expectations, largely due to the enthusiastic participation of the students and the instrumental role played by the Principal and teaching staff in its seamless execution.

Abstract

Sea turtles are one of the species essential for maintaining the balance of marine ecosystems, yet their populations have declined due to hunting, habitat destruction, and climate change. Sea turtle conservation is a crucial step in ensuring the sustainability of this species. This article discusses a community service activity involving the release of hatchlings as part of sea turtle conservation efforts at Maitara Village Tourism Beach, Tidore Islands City. The activity began with coordination among the village government, community leaders, and youth groups to plan and strategize implementation, involving all elements of the community. The release of hatchlings engaged students, tourists, and local residents, aiming to raise awareness and participation in sea turtle conservation. This activity not only provided hatchlings the opportunity to return to their natural habitat but also served as an educational platform to enhance public understanding of the importance of protecting sea turtles. Through a community-based approach, the program successfully strengthened collective commitment to coastal ecosystem conservation and opened opportunities for further development in support of natural resource conservation. The results of this activity demonstrate that collaboration among the community, academics, and government can have a significant positive impact on sea turtle conservation efforts.

Abstract

Based on the results of training on Techniques for Preparing Good Village Regulations, it was found that there are still many village officials (Village Heads and Village Consultative Body) who do not have the knowledge and expertise in drafting good village regulations in accordance with the provisions of statutory regulations. The low level of knowledge of village government officials in drafting village regulations has created a legal vacuum in society, thereby affecting the effectiveness of village government administration. If this is not addressed from the start, it can affect all village development policies in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages. The objectives of training in preparing good village regulations are (1) to provide knowledge and understanding of the procedures for preparing good and correct village regulations (2) to provide knowledge about the correct preparation of village regulations in accordance with the theory, principles and concepts of legislative science. The expected benefit from training in techniques for preparing good village regulations is that it can provide scientific contributions to village government officials and the community regarding the benefits of correct procedures for drafting village regulations and how to implement the village regulations themselves. Community service was carried out in Skouw Mabo Village, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City using the method: lectures and discussions with the theme "Training on Techniques for Preparing Good Village Regulations for Village Government Apparatus", then continued with a question and answer session to explore the problems and obstacles faced and find solutions as a form of resolving the obstacles faced by village government officials.
