Abstract

Technology continues to develop and affect several fields, including politics. Political education usually only obtained in formal education such as schools and universities has shifted to social media. The purpose of this research is to explain how social media can increase public knowledge about politics and social media in the digital era has changed its function, which used to be only to communicate with others but now social media can be used for political education. Agenda setting theory is used to find out how Instagram social media on pinterpolitik and totalpolitik accounts educate the public. Methodology This article uses a qualitative description approach with a literature study. Primary data comes from recent books and journals on political education, political communication, and social media. Secondary data comes from observation, the socialblade.com website from July 2019 to January 2024, and social media information. This study's result is that pinterpolitik accounts educate with content that contains interesting infographics, interesting titles, trusted sources, interesting visuals, current political issues, and short, concise, and clear content. Meanwhile, the totalpolitikcom account is slightly different from the pinterpolitik account on Instagram account, the difference can be seen in the uploaded content where they use images and provide captions on the content below the image, and per content uploaded on Instagram, totalpolitikcom uses an average of 2 slides of content. In the future, research on political education through social media can be carried out with a more in-depth analysis and the object of research is not only two accounts, this is because of comparison with other social media accounts that discuss political education.

Abstract

This article examines the role of Lajnah Bahtsul Masail Nahdlatul Ulama (LBM NU), which has significantly contributed to the issuance of legal decisions and the resolution of societal issues in both ritual jurisprudence (fiqh ibadah) and social jurisprudence (fiqh ijtima’i). The primary objective of this study is to analyze Nahdlatul Ulama's approach to Islamic legal thought, with a specific focus on madhhab-based ijtihad and institutional decision-making processes. Using a qualitative library research method, this study draws upon classical Islamic jurisprudential texts and contemporary scholarly works to assess how LBM NU addresses legal issues across both ritual and social domains. The findings reveal that NU employs a structured hierarchy of legal reasoning within its collective deliberations, including qauliy (textual referencing), ilhaqiy (analogical reasoning), and manhajiy (methodological reasoning). These methods enable LBM NU to maintain both flexibility and relevance, while remaining faithful to the traditions of the classical schools of Islamic law.In conclusion, LBM NU serves as a vital intellectual institution within Nahdlatul Ulama, effectively bridging the legacy of classical Islamic jurisprudence with the evolving needs of modern Muslim communities.

Abstract

Learning motivation refers to the internal drive within students that encourages them to acquire knowledge to achieve the success they aspire to. The lack of learning motivation in students becomes a challenge because the teacher’s teaching strategies are less innovative, particularly in applying teaching methods. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between the Demonstration Method and learning motivation at SMP Islam Said Yusuf Depok. The research variables include the Demonstration Method (X) and Learning Motivation (Y). The population in this study consisted of all students at Sa'id Yusuf Islamic Middle School, totaling 131 individuals. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, so the sample taken specifically for class VIII students amounted to 50 people. Data was collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documents. Data analysis was performed using SPSS statistics, including data description, validity test, reliability test, normality test, linearity test, and correlation test with product-moment Pearson correlation, significance test, and coefficient of determination. The data description for the Demonstration Method shows an average score of 125.62, a median of 127.50, a mode of 130, a standard deviation of 8.647, and a variance of 74.771, with the highest score being 147 and the lowest being 106. The data description for learning motivation shows an average score of 116.96, a median of 118.00, a mode of 102, a standard deviation of 8.647, and a variance of 329.546, with the highest score being 148 and the lowest being 78. The hypothesis test results, which examine the relationship between the Demonstration Method (variable X) and learning motivation (variable Y), show a correlation coefficient of r = 0.393 > r table 0.279. Therefore, Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected, indicating a positive relationship between the demonstration method and learning motivation in Fiqih subjects at SMP Islam Said Yusuf Depok. The correlation between these variables is statistically significant, as demonstrated by the t-test value of 2.960 > t table 2.021. The coefficient of determination is 0.154, meaning the contribution of the Demonstration Method to learning motivation is 15.4%, with the remaining influence coming from other factors.

Abstract

Islamic communication is a comprehensive and ethical framework rooted in the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, emphasizing truthfulness, wisdom, respect, and responsibility. It plays a crucial role in Da’wah (Islamic preaching), education, interfaith dialogue, media, and digital discourse. As communication methods evolve, Islamic communication must adapt to modern platforms while maintaining its ethical foundations. This study explores the theoretical foundations, methodologies, contemporary applications, and challenges of Islamic communication. It highlights how traditional approaches, such as sermons and direct interpersonal dialogue, have transitioned into digital spaces, including social media, online learning, and global media platforms. While these developments offer new opportunities for outreach and engagement, they also pose challenges such as misinformation, unethical media practices, Islamophobia, and the commercialization of religious content. The research underscores the importance of media literacy, responsible digital engagement, and scholarly participation in ensuring that Islamic communication remains authentic, impactful, and aligned with Islamic ethical values. Furthermore, it presents future directions for strengthening Islamic communication, including the integration of modern technology, youth engagement, and ethical guidelines for digital Da’wah. By examining both traditional and contemporary dimensions, this study provides a comprehensive understanding of Islamic communication and its role in fostering knowledge, unity, and positive social change in an increasingly interconnected world.

Abstract

This study examines the situation of science education in Bangladesh, analyzing the effects of government changes and concentrating on the difficulties the educational system faces. The study is to shed light on curriculum, teacher preparation, and resource availability to enhance science education in both urban and rural settings. Semi-structured interviews, policy analysis, and a review of the literature were all part of the qualitative research methodology. In addition to interviews with elementary and secondary science teachers throughout Bangladesh, information was obtained from pertinent educational policies, scholarly publications, and reports. Teachers' opinions on the difficulties of teaching science, the availability of resources, and the efficacy of governmental reforms were all examined in the interviews. Recurring themes and patterns were found using thematic analysis. Results show that access to science education has increased, while there are still issues, especially in rural areas. Inadequate teacher preparation, a lack of resources, and an antiquated curriculum that impedes inquiry-based learning are major problems. Regional inequities and gaps in teacher skills persist despite government initiatives to promote digital education and infrastructure. To raise the standard of science education, the report emphasizes the necessity of ongoing investments in infrastructure upgrades, curricular reforms, and teacher development. A small sample size that might not accurately represent all regional contexts and possible bias in self-reported data are among the limitations. With its useful suggestions for resolving the issues and enhancing science instruction in Bangladesh, this study provides insightful information for researchers, educators, and policymakers.

Abstract

By giving teachers the necessary tools, teacher training plays a critical role in raising the standard of education. Training programs that are accessible and structured are becoming more and more important as educational demands change. The usefulness of teacher training frameworks, the incorporation of contemporary educational approaches, and the difficulties in obtaining and executing these programs are all examined in this study. This study examines global trends in teacher training literature (2019–2024) using Scopus and bibliometric analysis. Thematic focuses, important contributors, and publication trends were evaluated by data analysis using R/R-Studio, VoSviewer, and Microsoft Excel. Despite a rise in research activity, the results indicate a decreasing annual growth rate of publications. With a focus on particular locations, the study identifies important journals, authors, organizations, and nations influencing research on teacher preparation. Results show that training that is well-organized and updated often improves student performance and instructional efficacy. Adaptability to different classrooms is enhanced by the integration of inclusive education and technology. Nonetheless, there are still gaps in our knowledge of the long-term effects of training and in guaranteeing fair access to professional growth. When creating evidence-based teacher training programs, policymakers, educational institutions, and training providers use these insights as a guide. Comparative evaluations of training approaches, long-term efficacy, and international cooperation tactics in teacher education should all be investigated in future studies. For education systems around the world to advance, teacher training programs must be strengthened.

Abstract

This research explores the foundational principles and ethical framework of Islamic economics as a distinct paradigm from conventional economic systems. Anchored in Islamic legal and moral philosophy, the study examines core concepts such as the prohibition of Riba (interest), the obligation of zakat (almsgiving), the avoidance of Gharar (excessive uncertainty), and the requirement for halal (permissible) transactions. Using a qualitative content analysis approach, the research draws on instructional material to identify how these principles are articulated and positioned within Islamic economic thought. The analysis reveals that Islamic economics is not merely a financial model but a value-based system emphasizing justice, social welfare, and divine accountability. Unlike conventional economics, which prioritizes utility maximization and market efficiency, Islamic economics centers on moral responsibility, risk-sharing, and ethical profit. The findings highlight the potential of Islamic economics to address contemporary issues such as inequality and unsustainable growth. This study contributes to the literature by offering a structured interpretation of Islamic economics grounded in scriptural sources and pedagogical content. Its originality lies in clarifying the ethical-spiritual foundation of Islamic economics and its relevance in modern discourse on sustainable and equitable economic systems.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the development and transformation of Islamic thought from its classical roots to contemporary expressions, with a focus on how it responds to modern global challenges such as democracy, human rights, gender equality, and environmental issues. The theoretical framework draws upon the works of classical and modern Islamic scholars, including Al-Ghazali, Ibn Rushd, Muhammad Abduh, and Fazlur Rahman, emphasizing the dynamic interplay between wahy (revelation) and aql (reason), as well as the concept of ijtihad (independent reasoning) and contextual interpretation. Using a qualitative, descriptive-analytical method, this study analyzes selected texts and scholarly contributions to trace the historical trajectory and current discourse within Islamic thought. The findings indicate that Islamic thought is not monolithic, but rather evolves in response to historical and social contexts. Contemporary Muslim thinkers increasingly emphasize the need for contextualization, ethical renewal, and reinterpretation of Islamic sources to remain relevant in the face of current challenges. These results highlight that modern Islamic thought holds significant potential to contribute to social justice, inclusive governance, and human development when rooted in both textual integrity and contextual awareness. The implication of this research is the need to revitalize Islamic education and scholarly engagement with a focus on critical, reformist, and ethical approaches. The originality of this study lies in its synthesis of classical and modern perspectives within a unified narrative that frames Islamic thought as a living, adaptable intellectual tradition capable of informing contemporary discourse in meaningful ways.
