Abstract

This research aims to improve students' abilities in writing announcement texts using the Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach in class X-TKJ at the SMK PONPES Cadangpinggan. The method in this research is used action research which consists of: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Based on the results of action research, it can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach can improve students' Announcement Text writing skills in class X-TKJ at SMK PONPES Cadangpinggan.

Abstract

Evaluasi pendidikan sering terkait dengan hasil belajar, termasuk konsep yang luas. Kualitas peserta didik menjadi faktor penting dalam evaluasi pendidikan, dan program evaluasi pembelajaran dapat memengaruhi kualitas mereka. Dalam mengatasi masalah peningkatan kualitas peserta didik, pelaksanaan program evaluasi pembelajaran menjadi krusial. Evaluasi ini dianggap sebagai program karena melibatkan berbagai komponen, termasuk guru, peserta didik, dan sarana prasarana. Diperlukan kemampuan guru untuk mengelola semua aspek input dengan baik agar evaluasi pembelajaran berjalan efektif. Evaluasi ini penting untuk mengukur keberhasilan sistem pembelajaran dan melihat dampaknya terhadap kualitas peserta didik. Pendidik, dalam merancang evaluasi pembelajaran, perlu memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip dasar dan persyaratan yang relevan. Evaluasi bertujuan untuk menilai keberhasilan siswa dalam program pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggali konsep, fungsi, dan tujuan evaluasi pembelajaran, dengan fokus pada mata kuliah pengantar akuntansi, dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2021. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan alat evaluasi pembelajaran bertingkat dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir abstrak mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prosedur pembelajaran. Selain itu, Pendidikan Agama Islam diarahkan untuk membentuk kultur akhlak mulia pada mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik. Model penilaian self dan peer assessment digunakan untuk menilai pembentukan akhlak mulia. Penelitian ini bersifat kuasi eksperimen dan dilakukan dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama mencakup pembuatan instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur ketercapaian kompetensi hasil pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Mata pelajaran ini memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk akhlak dan pribadi siswa, dengan tujuan meningkatkan keimanan, pemahaman, dan pengamalan agama Islam. Pendidikan Agama Islam juga diarahkan agar siswa menjadi pribadi muslim yang beriman, bertakwa, dan berakhlak mulia dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan.

Abstract

Research on the influence of problem-based learning methods really needs to be carried out. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based learning (PBL) method in improving students' writing skills. This research uses quantitative methods. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups of students, one group received conventional teaching without treatment, while the other group received treatment in the form of PBL teaching. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test writing assessments, and the results were analyzed using a t-test. The research results showed that students who received teaching using the PBL method showed significant improvements in their writing skills compared to those who received conventional learning. This research concludes that PBL can be an effective method for improving students' writing skills by providing opportunities for real-world problem-solving, collaborative learning, and revision based on feedback.

Abstract

Research on students' perceptions of YouTube music as a learning medium is very important to carry out considering that learning media is currently an important instrument in education. This research aims to explore students' perceptions of YouTube Music as a learning medium for listening mastery at the high school level, both related to student motivation and the impact of YouTube Music. The research methodology used in this research is descriptive quantitative and data was collected using a questionnaire with 18 statement items related to YouTube Music. Research findings show that there are positive student perceptions of the use of YouTube Music in improving listening skills. Firstly, YouTube Music motivates students to master listening because YouTube can attract their attention, increase their motivation, and increase their interest in learning. Secondly, most students have a perception positive of YouTube Music, it can be seen that students stated that YouTube Music has many benefits as a learning media to improve listening. Thirdly, based on their perceptions, YouTube Music improves students' listening abilities by increasing students' vocabulary knowledge. The students also agree that YouTube music is used as a listening medium in class. Nevertheless, based on this research, several limitations can be considered for future researchers to perfect research because this research has shortcomings that need to be corrected

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess how effective RUN BTS videos on the Weverse app work as a substitute for vocabulary enrichment activities. This study used an experimental pre-test-post-test control group design using a quantitative methodology. One senior high school class from Jakarta, Indonesia served as the research sample. For four weeks, the experimental class received treatment by watching two RUN BTS episodes on the Weverse app. Pre-test and post-tests totalling twenty questions were used to gather data. This is predicated on the pre-test mean score of sixty and the post-test mean score of seventy-nine points. Observing RUN BTS on Weverse has an impact on learning outcomes, based on the results of the rise in learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to understand the mentoring role in developing the leadership capacity of student teachers from the perspectives of the mentor, the mentee, and the head teacher. It explored the opportunities and pitfalls that arise during the mentoring process and how they affect the development of leadership skills in student teachers. Data was collected through Google form questionnaire and telephone interviews with the mentor, mentee (the student teacher), and the head teacher. The findings of this study revealed that mentoring could be a valuable tool for supporting the professional development and leadership capacity of student teachers. However, effective mentoring relationships depend on various factors, including the mentor's qualifications, experience, support of the mentor, the readiness and willingness of the mentee to learn, and the level of support the head teacher provides, some of which are identified as challenges in the study. Thus, effective mentoring programs should be supported by the appropriate training, resources, and support to ensure mentors are equipped to support their mentees in developing their leadership skills. The head teachers should be aware of the importance of mentoring and create an enabling environment to support the mentoring program. Finally, the authors recommend that a clear framework and guidelines be developed to ensure that best is attained from the practice.

Abstract

Speaking is the process of constructing and exchanging meaning. There are some problems can be detrimental to EFL students. Many students hesitant to speak up and some will almost certainly remain silent due to lack of confidence, prior knowledge of the topic, a poor teacher- student relationship. Recently many alternatives to make students enjoy and confidence to speak up by social media such as tik tok and now social media is a tool to students can improving their skill especially speaking ability. So, this research to find out “ The Effect of Using Tik Tok as Social Media to Improve Students’ English Speaking Ability”This research used descriptive qualitative Methods (Creswell, 2012) explained the process of descriptive method is to find the detailed explanation and description about the object of the research systematically. This research was conducted  fifty students at tenth grade STM Taruna Bangsa Bekasi Utara. The data collection get by two instruments namely interview and questionnaire. This finding revealed during learning took place, the student who use tik tok media can confidence to speak up than student can't use tik tok media. They agreed that students need to have their enjoy learning during learning. The result proves that using tik tok as media social can good effect to improve students’ English speaking ability.

Abstract

Research on the topic of ethnomathematics is starting to be conducted frequently. Moreover, research that links aspects of mathematics lessons with cultural aspects. This research is motivated by ethnographic and cultural aspects. This research aims to 1) To find out the Geometric aspects contained in the Irarat Melan mama boat of Ritabel Village, North Tanimbar District, Tanimbar Islands Regency, and 2) To find out the symbolic meaning contained in the mama Irarat Melan boat of Ritabel Village, North Tanimbar District, Tanimbar Islands Regency. This research uses qualitative methods with ethnographic design. This research shows that based on the results of research and discussion that has been carried out on the research of Geometric Aspects on Irarat Melan Boat (mama) Ritabel Village, North Tanimbar District, Tanimbar Islands Regency, it can be found that the elements of mathematics contained in the Irarat melan boat culture (mama) there are aspects of geometry such as lines, angles and patterns Some flat planes found on mama boats include; trapezoids, triangles, rectangles, rhombuses, circles. These mathematical aspects can be seen from the mama boat building.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of the "Merdeka Belajar" (Freedom of Learning) curriculum at MA Nahdlatul Ulama and the challenges experienced. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews and field observations. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum at MA Nahdlatul Ulama begins with education and training. Subsequently, meetings are held and teams are formed for the development of the School Operational Curriculum (Kurikulum Operasional Satuan Pendidikan or KOSP). Learning is carried out based on project-based teaching modules (both short-term and long-term projects), and instruction is tailored to the characteristics of the students. Curriculum evaluation is conducted through diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, with learning outcomes reported through report cards. Challenges in the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum include not all teachers fully understanding the curriculum. Insufficient literacy, references, and understanding among teachers in utilizing technology also serve as hindering factors in the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum.

Abstract

This study uses a purposeless evaluation paradigm to evaluate the classroom action research performance of post-certification teachers. One of the strategies to improve the quality of education in Indonesia is through the use of qualified and professionally competent teaching staff, which is demonstrated by teachers' performance in classroom action research. Attachment to the beneficial, unfavorable, and neutral effects of the post-certification program was assessed. Forty-five teachers with ten or more years of experience and certification as educators were the subjects of the study. Data were collected for this qualitative study approach through the use of questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and observation. The results showed that although teacher performance in classroom action research has not improved, the certification program in improving teacher welfare has provided benefits.
